I’m convinced that Halloween crafts are the most fun to make. There are just so many fun characters: witches, ghosts, bats, pumpkins … I could go on. But, for now, let’s just focus on those Halloween ghosts.

Ghosts can be scary or they can be really cute little ghosts. It all depends on the facial expressions you draw.

If you’re looking for some new easy crafts to make this Halloween, you’re in luck. We put together this great list of Halloween Ghost Crafts to inspire you this spooky season.

Two card stock ghosts on top of lollipops with two lollipops and paper shred with the words "DIY Halloween Ghost Lollipop Holders" digitally written on top.

DIY Halloween Ghost Lollipop Holders

These super cute ghosts are used to top lollipops that you can give out to trick-or-treaters that visit your home.

What’s great is you don’t need any special tools or machines to make these DIY Halloween Ghost Lollipop Holders. All you need to do is fold some card stock, draw a ghost shape onto it with a black marker, and cut it out. Stick in the lollipop, close the ghost, and that’s it.

It’s a great way to hand out lollipops for a class party because they look just a little more special than a plain lollipop.

A paper ghost surrounded by candy and the words "DIY Pull String Halloween Ghost Pinata" digitally written on top.

DIY Pull String Ghost Piñata

This is one of my upcycle craft ideas, which I love so much. This craft turns card stock and an old toothpaste box into a pull string ghost piñata.

The toothpaste box is completely hidden, so no one will know you rescued it from the recycle bin to make this craft.

You pull a string and candy falls out, just like a piñata. But, what’s great about it is since you don’t smash this piñata, you can reuse this year after year.

DIY Garbage Bag Ghosts

All you really need for these garbage bag ghosts are, you guessed it, garbage bags.

You fill a plastic bag with more plastic bags and tie it with a plastic bag. Draw a face and hang it outside. These ghosts are a really simple way to decorate.

Then, when Halloween is over, you can just take them apart and reuse the garbage bags (except for the outside one because that one gets cut apart a little).

Easy Halloween Milk Jug Ghost

Save your empty milk jugs to make our Easy Halloween Milk Jug Ghost. Or, if you don’t drink milk, you can save any clear plastic bottles to use to make this easy ghost craft.

Draw a cute or spooky face on an empty plastic milk jug, then fill it with fairy lights to turn it into a Halloween luminary.

A fun way to change them up for Halloween night would be to crack glow sticks and put them in the milk jug so they glow a different color.

Three wine corks painted to look like ghosts with the words "Wine Cork Ghosts" digitally written on top.

Wine Cork Ghosts

These Wine Cork Ghosts are really easy to make. There’s a version where you paint the faces on (for adults or older children) and a version where you draw the faces on (for younger children).

Whichever way you make them, these ghosts come out really cute.

If you have extra wine corks after making these, you can use them to make our Wine Cork Pumpkin.

Two toilet paper rolls painted to look like ghosts with the words "DIY Toilet Paper Roll Ghosts (Easy Halloween Craft For Kids)" digitally written on top.

DIY Toilet Paper Roll Ghosts

I always save our empty toilet paper rolls to use for crafts when we have kids come visit. That’s exactly how these Toilet Paper Roll Ghosts came to be.

We had a five- and eight-year-old visitor who wanted to make some crafts, so I grabbed a bunch of toilet paper rolls so they could both make their own ghosts. I supervised them as they painted white paint all over the cardboard tubes. When those dried, I handed them black Sharpie markers to draw ghost faces on them.

They had so much fun making this cute ghost craft. Then, almost immediately, asked me to cut wings from white paper to make them Halloween bats instead.

A mason jar painted to look like a ghost with a Halloween banner behind it and the words "DIY Mason Jar Ghost" digitally written above it.

DIY Mason Jar Ghost

If you have a mason jar or any empty glass jar, you can use it to make our DIY Mason Jar Ghost craft. It’s a really fun decoration for your mantle or table that you can reuse year after year.

The inside of the jar is painted white, which does take a little bit of time because you need to swirl the paint around to cover the whole jar. You don’t use a paint brush because that would result in a lot of brush strokes.

When the inside is done, you paint the face on the outside. Doing it this way gives the ghost a really nice shine.

A napkin ghost with a tag that says Boo Nicky to you on it with two pumpkins behind it and the words "Applesauce Pouch Ghost Halloween Treats" digitally written on top.

Applesauce Pouch Ghost Halloween Treats

Turn applesauce into an adorable Halloween treat when you make these Applesauce Pouch Ghosts.

These are made with napkins (because that’s pretty frugal), but you could make them with white tissue paper if you would rather use that.

My friend made these last year to bring to her son’s school Halloween party. They’re a really great idea for a classroom party because applesauce is allergy-friendly and it’s a non-candy treat. So it checks all of the boxes.

Speaking of non-candy treats, if you’re looking for one that’s actually not edible either, go with our DIY Halloween Glow Stick Party Favors.
