If loving cats is a huge part of your personality, or your friends’, you’re in luck. I put together a really fun list of gifts for cat lovers.

There are whimsical items, practical items, and a lot of cat-shaped items because they’re cute.

You’ll find the purr-fect gift (you see what I did there?) for cat owners or just cat people. They’re not gifts for the cat itself. Although, we do have a list of gifts for cats, so if you’re looking for a great gift for an actual cat, that list is the one you’re looking for.

Cat-Shaped Gifts for Cat Lovers

Part of the fun of giving gifts to cat lovers is the obvious, adorable cat-shaped items.

A teal cat face dish rag holder hanging off a faucet in a kitchen sink.

Cat Sponge Holder

The sponge holder we had in the kitchen was a piece of ceramic that Pete made in elementary school. It fell, broke, and was glued back together so many times before he decided that maybe it wasn’t the best thing to hold our wet, sometimes soapy, dish rags.

So I looked online and found the most adorable cat sponge holder. (I paid full price for it too, which, if you know me, almost never happens.)

It arrived when Pete was out and he came out and laughed and laughed, then said it was the most Lisa thing he’s ever seen.

So, if your friend likes cats, they need this.

A black cat clock surrounded by other vintage items in a store.

Kit Cat Klock

The Kit Cat Klock is the most iconic item on this list. It’s been around for over 90 years, so there’s a good chance you’ve seen it in a home on a TV show or in your grandparents’ house.

Now, you can see it in your friend’s house because, much to my surprise, you can still easily buy the clock (in classic black but also in a few other color combos too).

A black cat claw clip.

Cat Claw Clip

Claw clips are coming back and really having a moment. And sure, you could buy a plain one and fit in with the cool kids. Or — OR — hear me out. You could get a cat-shaped claw clip. My friend got me this exact one and I’m obsessed with it. And I haven’t even worn a claw clip since I was one of the cool kids back in the ’90s.

This comes in two different colors: a black cat and a white cat. You can choose based on your cat-obsessed friend’s hair color, what color cat they own, or just whichever one is in stock when you’re ordering.

A hand holding a spoon rest shaped like a cat face that says Cat Mom on it.

Cat Face Spoon Rest

I love cute little items with personality — but also functionality. If you’re giving your friend a gift, she doesn’t need another knickknack.

But, this cat face spoon rest is perfect. Everyone needs a spoon rest and with most stoves being black, this will absolutely pop.

Cat Lovers Pizza Cutter.

Cat Lovers Pizza Cutter

If you’re looking for a unique gift that’s also really useful, look no further than this cat lovers pizza cutter. It’s a traditional pizza cutter, but the handle is shaped like a cat.

We have this and I actually do use it every time we have pizza and it works as well as a novelty pizza cutter can work.

If you’re looking for more pizza gifts to go with it, we actually have a list of gifts for pizza lovers you can check out.

A keychain that looks like a cat-shaped piece of sushi attached to a Coach purse.

Cat Sushi Keychain

A few years ago, my friend got me this cat sushi keychain. It was in a blind box that said, “Why am I sushi?” on the outside and had this cute cat keychain inside.

I had it on my purse for a year and never found out why it was sushi. It had a piece of seaweed wrapped around it that fell off, but it was still adorable.

Fun Gifts for Cat Lovers

While these would make good gifts for cat lovers during the holiday season, none of the items on this list are holiday focused. So you would be able to pick these up for Christmas, birthdays, or just a Tuesday.

A red towel with a cat on it that says "Made From Scratch".

Made From Scratch Towel

Cats scratch. It’s what they do. People cook from scratch. It’s what they do.

Combine those two and you have this super funny made from scratch kitchen towel. It’s a really funny, and functional, gift for true cat lovers.

There’s also a matching made from scratch oven mitt too, so you could pick up both to make a set.

A pillow with a cat photo printed on it next to two stuffed animals.

My Furry Friend Pet Photo Pillow

I love this my furry friend pet photo pillow. I had it made of my grandma’s cat Sox — who I affectionately called my aunt Sox, since she was basically my grandma’s youngest child.

The photo quality on the pillow is amazing, especially considering it’s a photo from my old phone with a less than stellar camera. The pillow comes with the case and pillow itself, which was a bit of a surprise since so many personalized pillow covers come without a pillow.

The pillow is so funny because it’s a huge picture of Sox. I laughed when I saw it and so did Pete. I brought it to my grandma and she laughed and so did my parents. It was great, well, for everyone except Sox. She ran from it, which is funny in itself, actually.

A frame that says "Life Is Better With A Cat" and has a square space for a cat photo hanging on a wall.

Life Is Better With A Cat Frame

Someone got my great-aunt this life is better with a cat frame and she immediately hung it on the wall. And kept it that way for who the heck knows how long until my mom and I realized this and printed her a photo of her cat.

So, definitely gift this to your friend. But also find a photo of their cat on social media and add it to the frame.

A black scarf with white cartoon cats on it.

Cat Scarf

I was wearing scarves a couple years ago, and for a while, they were my favorite accessory. If you’re shopping for a stylish cat-loving pal, this cat scarf is such a great idea.

From afar, you might not be able to tell what the pattern is, but up close, oh, just so perfect.

A pair of orange socks with white polka dots and cats on them.

Cat Socks

My brother once said, “White socks are a wasted opportunity” and I’ve thought about that so many times since he said it.

So, every one of our gift guides has socks on it because it’s such an easy gift idea.

A pair of sneakers with cats on them.

Cat Sneakers

If your cat lover wants to twin me, pick up a pair of these cat sneakers. Well, almost twin me.

I have the pair of Bobs above that my mom got me as a gift for cat-sitting her cat. They’re an old style, and Bobs changes the pattern often, so you can’t buy the same pair, but you can get a similar pair.

A white, round front door sign that says Welcome We Hope You Like Cats on it.

Welcome We Hope You Like Cats Front Door Sign

Cat people tend to have a lot of cats. So if you’re visiting your friend, you might also be visiting a lot of cats. That makes this “Welcome We Hope You Like Cats” front door sign the perfect gift.

The one above is one I found at a festival, so it was homemade by someone and not available online exactly as is. But the saying and front door sign are super popular, so you can easily find lots of versions via the link below.

A Willow Tree angel holding a cat figurine.

Willow Tree Angel With Cat

Willow Tree is so great at crafting the most simple and gorgeous figurines and this Willow Tree angel with cat one is no exception.

The angel is so sweetly snuggling the cat. It’s really a perfect cat memorial gift or just something sweet for a cat lover.

A few copies of a book called Distillery Cats on a shelf in a store.

Distillery Cats Book

I don’t know why cats love distilleries, but they do. Every cat seems to have adopted one.

This book, Distillery Cats, talks all about that lore with cute illustrations (no actual images) of distillery cats.

A boy in a neon shirt with a cat on it.

Cat Shirts

A super fun gift for your cat fan is a shirt with a cat on it.

We actually have a post of shirts for cat lovers with a ton of options. So, if you think a shirt is a good gift idea, that list is for you.

A black door hanger, shaped like a cat, that says "Please Don't Let The Cat Out No Matter What He Tells You" on it.
