I love sweets. I’m an adult and there are still days when I force myself to finish my lunch so that I can have dessert. And, as I’m making my way through a couple extra bites of pasta, I think about the fact that I’m an adult and if I want a Little Debbie snack for lunch, well, who’s gonna stop me?
Believe it or not, I’ve been stopping myself. We received a bunch of delicious Little Debbie snacks recently, and I haven’t let any of them become lunch or dinner just yet. I have, however, turned them into an Easter basket.
We received an assortment, and we’ll be posting different Little Debbie snack ideas during the week. So some of the amazing snacks we received aren’t pictured. You’ll have to come back for them later in the week. But, for the Easter Baskets, I used seasonal and Easter snacks: Butterfly Cakes, Easter Basket Cakes, Easter Egg Brownies, Kite Brownies, and Marshmallow Treats.
I absolutely love that everything is brightly colored. They perfectly match our bright Easter baskets. I have a yellow and green basket, and that’s the same colors at the Kite Brownies. Those actually look like kites, which is perfect for spring. The Easter Egg Brownies are decorated like pretty Easter eggs. And the Marshmallow Treas are pink, blue, and just shout Easter. I love them.
The Butterfly Cakes are cute too, but the vanilla ones are a little more photo friendly when compared to the chocolate ones. See, the vanilla ones are a white cake covered in a white frosting, with a few sprinkles on top. The chocolate ones are a chocolate cake covered in a pink frosting. But the cake is so dark that it pops through the frosting. The look has no affect on the incredible taste, and I’m not sure how many kids are looking as hard at these things as me.
I’m a chocoholic, so the Easter Basket Cakes, which are chocolate cake with chocolate frosting, are the most appealing to my taste buds. But I think they’re called because you’ll be putting them into Easter baskets. They don’t actually look like the shape, if you ask me.
Each box contains individually wrapped treats, which I really appreciate. I wouldn’t want to stick entire boxes in a kid’s Easter basket. That would be way too many sweets at once. So you can open each box, pull out an individually wrapped treat, and put an assortment in a basket. What I like too is that this prevents you from opening a box and being forced to eat all the treats at once.
Looks good, right? Makes you want to try some treats?
