I really like curry. It’s one of my favorite meals. But we’ve always made it so simply .. with curry mix. I’ve never made my own and had chicken curry taste as good as it does with the mix.
Which is actually crazy to say because I almost never use anything packaged when I’m cooking. I even make taco seasoning from scratch.
But curry mix? I need it from the package. And it needs to be S&B Golden Curry. This isn’t even a sponsored post for them. It just is my favorite.
You can make curry according to the recipe on the package, but I created a recipe that goes in the slow cooker. It’s so much easier that way. You don’t have to babysit your dinner when you’re making Slow Cooker Chicken Curry.
I will make chicken curry on the stove sometimes and it tastes the same regardless of it I make it on the stove or in the slow cooker. It just really depends on how far ahead of dinnertime you prepare.

This sounds good and very easy. What temp does your slow cooker reach on high as these days they all vary? 90min slow cooking frozen chicken does not sound much but it obviously works with yours.

According to this (https://www.crock-pot.com/tips-for-perfect-crockpot-slow-cooker-meals.html), high tops out at 205 F on a Crock Pot branded slow cooker (which is what we have). Ninety minutes is long enough for frozen chicken breast tenderloins to cook to 165 F (be sure to check your temperature, if you think your slow cooker cooks lower). I wouldn't cook a frozen whole chicken for that time.

Sorry for the ignorance but how much water do you put in per curry cube?

For this slow cooker recipe, we just use 1 cup of chicken broth as the liquid. No water.

Sounds good. Thanks for sharing! I'm vegetarian, so won't have the chicken, but maybe I can do a variation of it. I'd like to start incorporating curry into my recipes.
