We went to a birthday party a couple months ago and the host put out very perfect catered-looking sandwiches. I saw dips from the local grocery store, so I assumed the sandwiches were from the store too.

You know what happens when you assume, right?

Yeah. I was wrong.

Instead, the sandwiches were homemade using a Turkey Club Hawaiian Roll Sliders hack.

Well, actually it was a Turkey Sandwich Hawaiian Roll Sliders hack.

But, regardless of semantics, I was impressed. Our friend made very perfect, very uniformed, and very easy party sandwiches.

Basically, you make one huge sandwich on a package of Hawaiian rolls. You cut it into 12 sliders, which is how the package is already perforated. And voila. Twelve perfect sandwiches … even though you really only made one.

If you’re throwing a party or just need to make a few lunches, this is the perfect sandwich hack.

The “club” in a club sandwich is an acronym for Chicken and Lettuce Under Bacon. So a turkey version should technically be called a Tlub, which doesn’t roll off the tongue. So a turkey club is a turkey and lettuce under bacon sandwich.

This version of ours replaces the lettuce with cheese because it’s easier to make that way. The cheese helps these sandwiches stay together and lettuce would cause the ingredients to slide.

Take that serrated knife and cut the Hawaiian rolls at their perforations. That will cut this one large sandwich into 12 individual sandwiches.

What’s great is that this cuts the sliced turkey breast, cheese, and bacon perfectly to fit each individual slider roll. There isn’t any of the cold cut or cheese hanging off the side. Everything fits perfectly and looks professional.

And all you did was make one sandwich and cut it.

Is this the Hawaiian Roll Sliders hack from TikTok?

We’ve known about this Hawaiian roll sandwich hack for a while. But the world didn’t hear about it until about a month ago when this Hawaiian roll sandwich hack went viral on TikTok. She actually saw the idea on Pinterest, which she says in the video.

What she does that we don’t do here is she keeps the rolls in the paper that they come in. Then, she puts that back in the bag and travels with it to the beach. Since we serve these at parties at home, we serve this on a plate surrounded by chips every time. But the bag makes transporting them super easy.

Can you use any type of rolls to make this?

Brand doesn’t matter when you’re making this. If you buy the name brand or the generic brand, it’s fine. What matters is that you buy a pack of 12 buns that are stuck together. Buying 12 individual rolls just won’t work for this hack.

As far as flavoring goes, I really like the Hawaiian sweet rolls because they add a lot of flavor to these sandwiches, but you could use a plain roll if you prefer that.
