I love crafting. It’s just so much fun. But my skill level is pretty basic for the most part. I can make complicated things if I really need to, but I would much rather make something cute and easy. Like this DIY Spooky Halloween Soap.
It seriously took me a handful of minutes to make, but it’s making a huge impact in our guest bathroom. Everyone who has seen it loves it.
You can definitely make this too. It’s simple. And once you make it, you can fill it up year after year.
DIY Spooky Halloween Soap
What You Need:
- Bottle of hand soap
- Plastic spider rings
What You’ll Do:
Let’s talk about the hand soap for a minute. You’ve bought hand soap before (I assume), so you know it comes in a variety of colors. For this, you want to find a white soap. It’s gonna show your spiders best.
Pull off any labeling for the soap.
You should be able to just rub your fingers over the sticky part until it’s gone. If you want to speed up the process, you can put some olive oil on a paper towel and wipe it off. Or, if you have some handy, use Goo Gone adhesive remover.
Cut the ring portion off the plastic spider rings, so you’re left with just the spider. I did eight to fill a 7.5oz soap container.
Take the pump out, then stick the spiders into the soap. You can actually use the pump to move them around a little.
Put the pump back in and you’re done.
It’s that easy.
If you want to change up this Halloween soap dispenser, you can use more than just spider rings to make it. Stick in plastic snakes, small skeletons, plastic eyeballs, whatever you can find at your local store. I like the spiders best because you can tell what they are from afar, unlike eyeballs. But get creative.
