One of my favorite things to make when we have company is Slow Cooker Chicken Teriyaki. I love it because you can set the slow cooker then go out and sight see for the day. But what’s even better is that this required very little chopping.
See, some of my favorite slow cooker recipes require lots of chopping. And while I don’t always mind trading chopping for actually cooking, it does excite me when a recipe has little chopping.
I’m sure that’s why this is one of my go to meals.
Slow Cooker Chicken Teriyaki Recipe

Slow Cooker Chicken Teriyaki Ingredients:
- 4 frozen chicken breast tenderloins
- 1 onion
- 6 cloves garlic
- 2 inches fresh ginger
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup rice wine vinegar
How To Make Slow Cooker Chicken Teriyaki:
Peel and chop your garlic.
Dice your onion.
Put all your ingredients, including the chopped garlic and onion, in your slow cooker.
Cook on high for 3.5 hours or low for 7.5 hours.
Open the top and shred the chicken into chunks. Cook for another 30 minutes.
While that’s cooking, use your rice cooker to make 1.5 cups of rice.
Serve the slow cooker chicken teriyaki over rice. Garnish with green onion.
I often serve this slow cooker chicken teriyaki with broccoli or another steamed vegetable. Also, I prefer to use white meat chicken, but you could make slow cooker chicken teriyaki bowls using the thighs or whatever dark meat you prefer.
