When you’re planning a trip to Orlando, Florida, it’s common to think about visiting all of the theme parks. Orlando is home to Disney World and all of its sister parks (Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, and EPCOT). It’s also home to Universal Studios.
But, theme parks are really expensive. Disney knows families are gonna show up to see Mickey Mouse, so it keeps raising ticket prices and people keep paying it.
Once you’re inside the park, you also have to pay for food and drinks, and it just keeps adding up.
Plus, it’s crowded. There’s not a guarantee that you’re going to get to see the shows you want.
So, if you’re looking for something a little easier on your wallet, check out Pirates Dinner Adventure. At its simplest description, it’s like a pirate-themed Medieval Times.
You have assigned seating, you watch a choreographed show that takes place on a pirate ship in the center of the arena, and you get a full meal.

Pirate Dinner Adventure: Review
The best description of Pirates Dinner Adventure is Medieval Times with pirates. That’s exactly how my friend Michelle, who took her three youngest children to the show, described it.
That’s easy for people to comprehend too because Medieval Times has been around for decades. And even if you haven’t been to a show, you know what it entails.
Pirates Dinner Adventure has stadium seating all around the venue which has a replica of an 18th-century Spanish galleon with 40-foot masts in the center.
There are no bad seats. You can see the entire show from any vantage point.
Michelle’s kids’ ages range between four and 10 and they all really enjoyed the show and the entertainers.
The show lasts for about 90 minutes, and there is a full scripted play that goes on with pirates, mermaids, swashbuckling, and shenanigans.
While you’re watching the show, servers bring you your meal to your seats.
There are different meals for adults and kids, plus adult beverages if you’re of legal drinking age.
The meal is basically what you expect at a venue that is serving hundreds of people at the same time. We’ll get to that a little more later.
Michelle said she would definitely bring her kids back. So, if your kids are around their age, or even a little bit older, definitely add this to your Orlando itinerary.
Pirates Dinner Adventure Tickets
Tickets are $69.95 for adults and $43.95 for kids for the 2026 season. For a show and a full dinner at a tourist destination, that’s not bad.
Pirates Dinner Adventure is very similar to Pirates Voyage Dinner & Show in Myrtle Beach, if you’ve been there. Oddly, they’re not affiliated with each other and have completely different owners and management. Pirates Dinner Adventure does have a sister show in Buena Vista, CA though.
You can get discount tickets for Pirates Dinner Adventure on Groupon, which is what Michelle did. They’re $51.49 for adults and $30.49 for kids when you use the promo code PIRATES.
However, when she got to the venue, she found out that none of the fees were included in her ticket. She actually ended up getting charged when she got inside, so her tickets ended up costing the same as they would have if she booked directly through the Pirates Dinner Adventure website.
Pirates Dinner Adventure Food
Pirates Dinner Adventure in Orlando is a dinner show with a heavy emphasis on the show portion. There is dinner, but don’t expect a five-star meal.
The adult meal is a salad followed by roasted 1/4 chicken, with (what felt like boxed) mashed potatoes and vegetables. There is a gluten-free meal and a vegetarian meal. They’re both penne pasta with pesto and vegetables, however the gluten-free meal uses gluten-free pasta.
Adults can upgrade their meals to surf and turf for $29.99, beef tenderloin for $19.99, or grilled salmon for $14.99.
Adults who are 21+ have the option of a large bar menu with draft and bottled beer, wine, and specialty drinks. Michelle had the Treasurer’s Tropical Margarita and said it was really good. There are also non-alcoholic mocktails, soda, and juice available.
The kids’ meal is chicken nuggets (which Michelle said were really soggy) and the smallest serving of macaroni and cheese I’ve ever seen.
The highlight, though, is the dessert, which is a delicious brownie. So definitely save room for dessert.
Visitor Tips
When To Arrive
Doors open at 5:30 pm for the 7 pm show and the tickets recommend not getting there after 6:30 pm (although the latest you can enter is five minutes after showtime).
The venue recommends you get there early to have time to check out the Pirate Treasure Museum (aka gift shop) and enjoy the family-friendly pre-show activities of a treasure hunt and build-a-crew mate station.
Michelle showed up with her children at 6 pm. Well, food was not served until 7:30 pm, so of course, her children were hungry and not expecting this delay.
The venue does sell food that’s not included in your meal, so you can purchase additional à la carte items, like French fries. Which is what Michelle had to do for her kids.
She said she should’ve trusted her gut and fed them a snack beforehand and got to the venue a little bit later. So that’s her recommendation for you. Learn from her mistake.
What To Wear
Almost everywhere in Florida has air conditioning, so expect it inside Pirates Dinner Adventure. It’s a nice break from the Florida heat, but when you’re inside for a while, you might get chilly.
So, we suggest wearing a T-shirt, but bringing a light sweatshirt or jacket that you can put on if you get cold.
Souvenirs
Pirates Dinner Adventure has a full gift shop, so be prepared for your kids to see it and want something.
Michelle’s kids immediately noticed a light-up sword that they wanted. It was $40. But, the cashier told her that if she turned the sword into a three-item bundle with the sword, a hat, and a toy gun, that would also be $40.
Michelle had the pirate cashier repeat this numerous times to be sure. So she ended up getting three items, one for each child, for the same price as one item.
So, if you do find yourself shopping in the gift shop, look for similar bundle packs.
Parking
Pirates Dinner Adventure has a large parking lot at the venue. As with any parking lot, the sooner you get to the venue, the better spot you’ll get.
Parking is $8 per car if you purchased regular tickets. If you upgraded to the VIP or Deluxe Package, parking is included.

I really like dinner shows. I think they’re a really fun experience. So we’ve been to a couple. There are a ton of dinner shows in Myrtle Beach, so if you’re vacationing in that area, you’re in luck.
Don’t forget about Medieval Times. That’s arguably the most popular dinner show and has multiple locations around the country.
