I knew I wanted to make jalapeno poppers, but I don’t actually love them. The idea of stuffing a full pepper into my mouth just doesn’t suit me. And I think a lot of people feel the same way. These jalapeno poppers wonton cups have the same tasty jalapeno popper flavor, but they’re a lot cuter. Much better for a party.
Plus, I have a bunch of wonton appetizer ideas in my brain, so I might as well make them all. They’re super party-friendly because people can just pick them up and eat them.
Jalapeno Popper Wonton Cups
What You’ll Need:
- 1 can (4oz. diced jalapeños)
- 8oz. cream cheese
- 1 cup shredded Mexican blend cheese
- 48 wonton wrappers
What You’ll Do:
Pre-heat oven to 350.
Overlap two wonton wrappers in a cavity in a muffin pan. Continue until you have filled two 12-count muffin pans.
Stir the cream cheese in a bowl until it is completely soft.
Drain the jalapeños and pour them into the cream cheese. Add the shredded cheese and stir until combined.
Spoon the cream cheese mix into the wonton cups.
Bake about 15 minutes until the wonton cups have browned. Serve warm.
These were a huge hit at our last party. I’m glad I made two trays too because the first tray went so quickly. The mix would actually be a great jalapeno popper dip that you could just serve with tortilla chips.
Would you make these Jalapeno Popper Wonton Cups?
