I would sit around and snack all day if I could, so when I’m grocery shopping, I make sure not to buy cookies and chips because if I did, I’d eat them. Instead, I end up making healthier versions of snacks, like this 2 Ingredient Dough Pita Chips recipe.

What’s great about them is you can have 10 chips for only 1 Weight Watchers Freestyle Points. That’s amazing, and definitely a guilt-free snack.

This is a recipe using 2 Ingredient Dough, not a recipe for 2 Ingredient Dough. We’ll go over it quick below, but for more details, check out this 2 Ingredient Dough recipe post.

2 Ingredient Dough Pita Chips Ingredients:

How To Make 2 Ingredient Dough Pita Chips:

Pre-heat the oven to 350.

Make the 2 ingredient dough.

This isn’t a 2 Ingredient Dough recipe, but here’s a real quick rundown. Mix together the non-fat Greek yogurt and self rising flour. Form a ball, then kneed the dough for a minute, turn it a quarter turn, and kneed it a little more.

Cut the dough into quarters.

Hand roll one-quarter into a ball.

Then, use a floured rolling pin to roll the dough on a foil-lined cookie sheet. Make sure the dough is about 1/8- to 1/4-inch thick.

Spread a very thin layer of olive oil on the dough.

Sprinkle the dough with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Parmesan cheese.

The fancy shredded cheese is a lot better to use than ground Parmesan. Plus, with the fancy shredded cheese, a little goes a long way. And just that little bit spread over the whole thing won’t add too many calories and points. Be sure to break the cheese up into smaller pieces as you go.

A quick tip: After you’re done sprinkling your toppings, go back over the dough — gently — with the rolling pin. It’ll push your toppings into the dough and they won’t fall off during baking.

Use a knife or pizza wheel to cut the dough into triangles. You can make 30 chips per dough quarter.

Bake the pita chips for about 21 minutes until they’re golden brown and beginning to crisp.

Break them apart and let them cool completely before serving.

Can you use any brand of self-rising flour in 2 Ingredient Dough?

Any brand of self-rising flour will work perfectly in these 2 Ingredient Dough pita chips. I’ve used a ton of brands and haven’t noticed any difference in how the chips come out.

Do you have to use non-fat Greek yogurt?

Two ingredient dough was originally made as a Weight Watchers recipe. With Weight Watchers, points are calculated based on ingredients, calories, etc.

Non-fat Greek yogurt is a ZeroPoint Food, which is why people who are following Weight Watchers use it in 2 Ingredient Dough.

If you’re not on Weight Watchers and you’re not counting points, you don’t have to use non-fat Greek yogurt. Full fat Greek yogurt will work just as well as non-fat Greek yogurt.

The only thing I wouldn’t suggest is using traditional yogurt. You need to use Greek yogurt.

Greek yogurt is thicker than traditional yogurt, so it will form a really great, hearty dough. Traditional yogurt is really thin and you won’t be able to make a dough out of it.

Can you use any brand of Greek yogurt in 2 Ingredient Dough?

Any brand of Greek yogurt works in 2 Ingredient Dough. Some Greek yogurts are more watery than others. If that’s the case, your dough may be really sticky, which isn’t ideal for these 2 Ingredient Dough Pita Chips.

That can be remedied, though.

If your Greek yogurt is watery, making your dough sticky, add extra self-rising flour to the dough. Add a little bit at a time, up to 1/4 of a cup of self-rising flour, and you won’t have any problem with the pita chips baking. Adding more than 1/4 cup may change the baking time and consistency of the chips.

If you’re following Weight Watchers and you add more self-rising flour, you may need to recalculate your points.

How do you store leftover homemade pita chips?

If you have any leftover pita chips, be sure to store them in an air tight container. They can last up to a week in the container, but after about 24 hours, they start to get soggy and lose their crunch.

So, if you really anticipate having leftovers, I would suggest making only 1/4 of the 2 Ingredient Dough, then saving the other 3/4. When you want more pita chips, roll out one of the quarters and make these homemade pita chips fresh. They’ll taste a lot better that way.

Dips To Serve With 2 Ingredient Dough Pita Chips

I could eat these 2 Ingredient Dough Pita Chips by themselves. But, not everyone likes a pita chip without dip.

If you’re looking for a dip to serve with 2 Ingredient Dough Pita Chips, these are good options:

Are homemade pita chips gluten free?

These Homemade Pita Chips use self-rising flour, which has gluten in it. So, these homemade pita chips are not gluten free.

If you need a gluten-free chip, you can order gluten-free pita chips online.

How many Weight Watchers points are 2 Ingredient Dough Pita Chips?

Quick Weight Watchers math.

The dough itself is 12 WW Freestyle points, if you use non-fat Greek yogurt. From that dough, you can make 120 pita chips. That makes it 10 chips for 1 Weight Watchers Freestyle point.

Yes, there’s a little bit of fancy shredded Parmesan cheese, but if you can find a fat-free version of that cheese (or substitute it for a fat-free cheese), that wouldn’t add any points to the recipe since some fat-free cheeses are 0 points.

If you’re on the myWW Smartpoints plan (either the myWW Blue, Green, or Purple), you’ll have to calculate the points via the WW app or your calculator. I’m not sure about those since I don’t follow those plans.

I just made these, so easy and good. I used garlic flavored oil and everything bagel seasoning, turned out so good. Thanks for the recipe.

That sounds like a great combination. I'm going to have to look for garlic-flavored oil in my stores and try your toppings! Thanks for the idea.

I made them!! Yay! I baked mine on the middle rack, and the bottoms crisped up way before the top. They stuck to foil. Would you suggest spraying the foil with cooking spray? Also- would it work if you keep the dough altogether and roll it out onto a bigger tray? Or are there reasons for splitting it into quarters? Thank you!!

I'm so glad you made them! If yours stuck to the foil, I would definitely suggest a little cooking spray or a thin layer of olive oil on the bottom of the pan. You know what might actually work too (I haven't tried it, but I do with other breads), put a little cornmeal down on the foil. That helps my bread to not stick when I bake it, so I think it should work for this. I'm not 100% sure, but I think I'm gonna try and find out.

If you're on Weight Watchers, you generally split this dough into quarters to keep the points low. But if you're not worried about WW Points, you can definitely keep the dough together and just use a larger tray.

You know, I've never tried, but logically it makes sense. So I don't see why you couldn't.
