Valentine’s Day Chocolate Popcorn

Forget boxed chocolate. Valentine's Day Chocolate Popcorn will be your new favorite Valentine's treat. Get the recipe at www.drugstoredivas.net.

We go to a bi-monthly potluck in our community and we have to bring a snack to share. So, to celebrate Valentine’s Day, I brought this Valentine’s Day Chocolate Popcorn.

It was a hit. Almost all the Valentine’s Day popcorn was gone by the time the potluck ended. And that almost never happens. So many people end up bringing home so much of what they brought because it doesn’t get eaten.

Not this popcorn.

We only had a couple bites left of it by the end of the night, which was a shame because it was so good I would liked to have a ton of leftovers.

Just means I have to bring it for every holiday now.

Put the olive oil in the bottom of a large pot. I use a pressure cooker for this because the top locks, but you should be fine with any pot.

Put the popcorn kernels in the pot and give it a shake so they’re covered in oil. Then, obviously, pop them.

Drizzle some, then sprinkle some of the heart-shaped sprinkles over the popcorn. Use a spoon to move some of the popcorn, then drizzle and sprinkle. Repeat until all the popcorn is covered.

Drizzle any leftover chocolate over the top, then carefully drop the conversation hearts on top. Honestly, they’re more for show than eating.
