And now it’s today’s Tasty Thursday post.
We got three packs of Stonefire naan, which we turned into a Mexican pizza [[that was my creation]], a chicken pesto pizza [[that was Pete’s creation]], and this classic pizza. You can do any variety of things, but I wanted to post the classic.
What You’ll Need:
Stonefire Naan package [[two in a package]]
Sauce [[we had leftover from making meatballs a few days before]]
Fresh tomato
Mozarella cheese [[personally, I like shredding my own, but you can buy it shredded]]
Spices to taste [[we used pepper and Italain seasoning]]
What You’ll Do:
Toast the naan in the oven at 350 for a few minutes. I know “a few minutes” isn’t very accurate, and we learned this step after we made these pizzas, so I don’t even have a picture for you. But, put them on a cookie sheet and place them in the oven til the naan gets a little crispy.
If you don’t do this, you’ll end up with soggy pizzas, which is more like a pita than a pizza crust.
We also used this one as a learning curve. On the next pizzas, we added a layer of fresh garlic on the naan after it came out of the oven. If you don’t like garlic, you can leave it off.
Add toppings. We used fresh tomatoes on this one because, as I said before, we wanted to keep it classic. You could top it with anything: meat, veggies, basil, marshmallows … okay, that was just to see if you were paying attention.
Cook it in the oven until the cheese is melted. Serve and eat.
Now, for the giveaway. One lucky reader will win three packages of Stonefire Naan. To enter, just use the Rafflecopter below. The giveaway starts now and ends at 11:59pm EST on January 17.
