Drugstore Divas received Sweet’N Low for this post. All other ingredients were purchased by Drugstore Divas and no compensation was given.
Crowdtap sent us a box of Sweet’N Low with a few drink recipe cards. It sounded like a great excuse to make a few drinks. Originally, we had planned to make them for our World Cup party the day after the wedding, but it didn’t work out. So we waited until our family had gone home and we made a few drinks for ourselves.
We looked through the recipes and decided on the Strawberry Granita Freeze (45 calories each) and Super Skinny Margarita (170 calories each). To see more recipes, you can head to sweetnlow.com/recipes.
Super Skinny Margarita
What You’ll Need:
- 2 cups of the following:
- 80 proof tequila
- fresh orange juice
- fresh lime juice
- 20 packets Sweet’N Low zero calorie sweetener
- Ice
- 8 lime wedges
What You’ll Do:
Mix tequila, orange and lime juices, and Sweet’N Low in a pitcher.
Add ice to a shaker. Pour in the drink into the shaker. Shake it. Pour into a margarita glass. Garnish with a lime wedge. Makes 8.
Pete loved it, but I didn’t try that one. I don’t drink alcohol so I skipped it. So I was excited to try a non-alcoholic Sweet’N Low drink. And since I love strawberries, this one was perfect. And it really was.
Strawberry Granita Freeze
What You’ll Need:
- 1 package (16oz.) frozen unsweetened strawberries
- 2 cups cold water
- 1/4 cup lime juice
- 16 packets Sweet’N Low zero calorie sweetener
- 4 fresh strawberries
What You’ll Do:
Place frozen strawberries, water, lime juice, and Sweet’N Low into a blender (in that order). Blend for 30 seconds or until slushy. Pour into glasses. Garnish with a fresh strawberry. Serves 4.
