I love Memorial Day. It’s so meaningful to me. My grandpa served in the US Army and that’s how he met my grandma. If not for his time in the service, I wouldn’t be here.
But I am very lucky that Memorial Day isn’t for him. My grandpa made it out alive. I celebrate my grandpa on Veteran’s Day and I remember those soldiers and servicemen and women who were lost in battle.
For so many people, though, Memorial Day is a three-day weekend filled with BBQ’s and patriotic treats. And that’s fine too. You do you. If you’re looking for a patriotic treat, check out our Patriotic Pound Cake.
This cake is just one of the red, white, and blue recipes we have on Drugstore Divas. If you’re looking for more, check out all of our patriotic recipes. You’ll also get some tips on throwing the best patriotic party.
