You guys. I’ll let you in on a secret. I’m really extra. Extra, like, serving this Heart-Shaped Pizza recipe made with 2 Ingredient Dough to Pete for dinner one day on a random Tuesday because why not.
Sure. I could have made a regular pizza for dinner. And sure, I probably could have made a full-sized heart-shaped pizza and cut it into pieces.
But then Pete wouldn’t have all these individual hearts on his plate.
My extra-ness was not in vein, honestly. Pete actually took a photo of his plate and sent it to his friend because he thought it was so adorable.
And here’s another secret: It was so easy.
This recipe uses my absolute favorite dough: 2 Ingredient Dough. The dough uses two ingredients: self-rising flour and Greek yogurt. Because there’s no yeast in the dough it doesn’t need to rest or rise. So you can make the dough and instantly use it.

Heart-Shaped Pizza Recipe made with 2 Ingredient Dough
Heart-Shaped Pizza made with 2 Ingredient Dough Ingredients:
- 1 cup non-fat Greek yogurt
- 1 cup self-rising flour
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- Salt
- Pepper
- 1/2 cup marinara sauce
- 2 oz. mozzarella cheese
How To Make Heart-Shaped Pizza with 2 Ingredient Dough:
Pre-heat the oven to 350 F.
Make the 2 Ingredient Dough.
We have a full 2 Ingredient Dough recipe with all the nuances of making the dough, so head over there for more details. But, the gist of it: Combine the Greek yogurt and self-rising flour in a bowl. Mix it together to form a ball.
Flour a piece of parchment paper.
Put the dough on top of the parchment paper.
Use a floured rolling pin to roll the dough out to be a 1/4-inch thick rectangle.
Flour a heart-shaped cookie cutter (find out more tips for using cookie cutters).
Then, use the cookie cutter to cut a heart-shaped pizza. Put it on a silicone baking sheet-lined cookie sheet.
You should be able to get 12 heart-shaped pizzas from one batch of 2 Ingredient Dough. The easiest way to do this is to roll the dough to the correct thickness, cut out the hearts, then ball up the extra dough and re-roll it.
Continue until you’ve run out of dough.
Bake the heart-shaped pizzas for 20 minutes.
Remove them from the oven and use a pastry brush to spread a small bit of oil on top of each heart.
Sprinkle each one with salt and garlic powder.
Top each with about a teaspoon of marinara sauce, making sure to spread it close to the edges but leave a tiny edge.
Spread your mozzarella cheese, then top each heart-shaped pizza with mozzarella cheese.
Bake for an additional 10 to 15 minutes until the cheese is completely melted.
Serve warm.
Can you make a full-size heart-shaped pizza?
If you don’t want to make these cookie-sized heart-shaped pizzas, you can make a full size one. You can purchase a heart-shaped pizza pan and just bake the pizza in that. But, if you don’t have one of those, there are three methods to do that, which we’ll list below.
Both start out the same way: Make the 2 Ingredient Dough as listed. Flour a piece of parchment paper and roll the dough. Instead of rolling it into a rectangle, roll it into a circle.
Method 1:
Instead of using a cookie cutter to cut heart shapes, use the tip of a knife to gently draw a heart shape in the circle. Cut out the heart using either that knife or a floured pastry roller, whatever is easier.
You can roll the excess dough out into whatever shape you want and cook that separately so you don’t waste any food.
Follow the rest of the steps, applying them to one pizza instead of 12.
Method 2:
When the dough is in a circle, use a pastry roller to cut a curved V from the top center of the circle.
Affix that to the bottom center of the circle.
Work the dough with your hands to make sure that the bottom of the dough is actually attached to the rest of the circle. You might also want to work the edges a little bit to make sure that it looks like one continuous line down each side.
Follow the rest of the steps, applying them to one pizza instead of 12.
Method 3:
When the dough is in a circle, just use your hands (and channel your play dough skills from elementary school) to just form the dough into a heart shape.
Follow the rest of the steps, applying them to one pizza instead of 12.
Heart-Shaped Pizza Recipe made with 2 Ingredient Dough: Frequently Asked Questions
Personally, I don’t like how pre-shredded cheese melts. There are preservatives in bagged shredded cheese that keep it from melting together in the bag. So when you try to melt it, it doesn’t melt as well.
Blocks of cheese don’t have these preservatives, so when you shred them yourself, the cheese melts so much better.
I almost always take the time to shred my own cheese, especially because it only takes a couple minutes. But, if you only have shredded cheese or don’t have a cheese grater, you can just use shredded cheese.
Two ingredient dough is really popular for Weight Watchers members because it has a low point value. If you’re not on Weight Watchers, don’t worry about this.
But if you are on Weight Watchers, you’ll be excited to know that these Heart-Shaped Pizzas are 5 points for three.
For Weight Watchers Freestyle points: The dough is the 12 points, the marinara sauce is 3 points, and the cheese is 1/2 a point (but we’ll round up to a point for the sake of easy math), and the oil is 4 points.
For the entire batch, it’s 20 Weight Watchers points. That’s 1.67 points per heart-shaped pizza, which is easier said as 5 points for three pizzas.
We aren’t on Weight Watchers, but we do eat these.
