I love Valentine’s Day because it’s a very chocolate-centric holiday. And if you know me, you know I want all the chocolate all the time.
But, when I’m giving Valentine’s Day gifts to the kids in our life, I try to stay away from sugar and stick with something else. That’s how these DIY Mustache Tattoo Valentine’s Day Cards were born.
I figured other people were probably like me and wanted to gift something other than sweets. So I made these cute Valentine’s Day cards that have a blank space on them for you to add a mustache tattoo.
All you need to do is print out the cards below (the free printable is later in this post) and buy some mustache tattoos. Then, just assemble them. It’s super cute and super easy for you.

How To Make DIY Mustache Tattoo Valentine’s Day Cards:

Print out the free printable below.
Each printable comes with four cards (two pink, two blue) on it.
I made them myself, so I have to point out: Please notice the two cartoon characters are also wearing mustaches. Sorry. I thought that was adorable and I’m really proud of that small detail, so I had to point it out. Okay, back to the craft.
Use a paper trimmer to cut out each of the cards.
If you’re making these for a school party, there’s a little bit of space on the right side so that your child can write his or her name on them. But, if they’re young and have large penmanship, they’re better off writing their name on the back because there’s not that much room.

Use the paper trimmer to also cut out each of the tattoo mustaches from the sheet.
Of course, you can use scissors to do this as well. But since I already have the paper trimmer out, that made the most sense.

Roll a piece of tape.
Place it on the back of the mustache tattoo.

Stick the tattoo mustache onto the front of the Valentine’s card, right where the blank space is.
Now, with the mustache in place, the card reads: I mustache (“must ask”) you to be my Valentine.
Like I said, super cute and super easy.
Keep going until you’re out of cards and/or mustaches.

Free Mustache Tattoo Valentine’s Day Cards Printable
We made this free mustache tattoo Valentine’s Day cards printable to go with this craft.
Quick note: These printables are to be used for personal use only. We don’t authorize any commercial use of these.
It’s a PDF file formatted to fit an 8.5- x 11-inch piece of paper so you can easily print it on your home printer. Right click the bubble below and save it however you typically save PDF files. Then print it at home when you’re ready to use it.
You could print these on a regular sheet of white paper. If you want them to be a little more sturdy, you could print them on white card stock instead.
When you’re printing, make sure to choose the “fit to page”, “color”, and “landscape” options from your print dialogue box so that these print exactly as intended. If you don’t choose fit to page, you may end up cutting off some of the printable. And if you don’t choose landscape, the four cards will print very small.

DIY Mustache Tattoo Valentine’s Day Cards: Frequently Asked Questions
If you have double sided tape, that would be a little bit easier because then you wouldn’t have to roll the tape. But, I never have that at home, and it’s not worth buying just for this quick craft.
The space on the cards perfectly fits a mustache that’s cut to 1- x 4-inches. So, when you’re purchasing your mustache tattoos, look for ones of that size. If you buy ones that are too tall, they won’t fit in the designated space and you’ll be cutting off some of the words.
Now, I’ll be very honest, I thought about giving these tattoos to my nieces and nephews for Thanksgiving because I thought they would love them. And then I thought their parents probably wouldn’t love if every photo from Thanksgiving had mustached-children in them.
So, if these aren’t for your kids and you’re not 100% sure how parents would feel about them, you could use mustache stickers or stick on mustaches instead. Those are less permanent and less of a potential headache.
The cards are made as a non-editable PDF. So unfortunately, there’s no way to change the colors.
Of course, if you know how to do that, go right ahead. Although, if you know how to do that, you’re probably designing your own cards.
