There are lots of times when I want garlic bread. It’s delicious and goes great with pasta.
But making garlic bread takes so much longer than I ever have time for. It’s never something I think about ahead of time. It pops into my head as pasta’s boiling, leaving me a solid five minutes to make some. Which I can do.
Yup, I have created a super quick 5 Minute Garlic Bread recipe. Now you can have it on a whim too.
5 Minute Garlic Bread
What You’ll Need:
- 4 slices of Italian bread
- 3 garlic cloves
- 2 teaspoons of butter
- Italian seasoning
- Garlic powder
- Onion powder
What You’ll Do:
Chop the garlic cloves.
Lather each piece of bread with 1/2 a teaspoon of butter.
Top with the garlic cloves and seasonings.
Bake in a toaster oven at 375 degrees for four minutes.
That’s it. You get a good crunch on the bread, and it has all the taste of a good garlic bread in just a fraction of the time. I make this a lot and we are never disappointed.
I’d say part of the trick is using a deli sliced loaf of Italian bread. It mimics the taste of a traditional Italian bread. I wouldn’t go with a sandwich bread for this because it just wouldn’t be the same.
Pair this bread with a bagged salad and pasta and you can have a great weeknight dinner on the table in under ten minutes.
