Fourth of July is next week, so you’re probably stocking up on hamburgers and hot dogs. They’re delicious. I mean, who doesn’t like a good hot dog with a bun toasted on the grill? I like to have a bit of healthy greens with my meals though. Yes, ketchup is made from tomatoes, but that’s not enough for me to count it as a veggie.
If you’re looking for something healthy to make for your 4th of July BBQ, look no further than my red, white, and bleu kale salad. It was so simple to put together, travels well (in case you’re not hosting the party), and tastes great. Plus, it looks pretty and festive. I mean, who doesn’t love red, white, and blue food on July 4th?
Red, White, and Bleu Kale Salad
What You’ll Need:
- Litehouse Foods Chunky Bleu Cheese Dressing
What You’ll Do:
Wash all your produce. Then, cut your kale off of the ribs, then cut it into bite-sized strips. Put it into a large bowl.
Top it with raspberries (I wouldn’t suggest cutting them in half since they’re a lot prettier whole). Add blueberries.
Drizzle Litehouse Foods Chunky Bleu Cheese Dressing on top and serve.
Be sure to take your dressing straight out of the fridge before you use it.
