Some mornings can be rough. You want to sleep until the last possible second, hit snooze a few times. And that’s fine. But that also means that you’re cutting into the precious minutes you have to get things done before you need to run out the door. So if you can simplify your morning routine, you’ll be able to sleep a little bit longer and get out the door on time and in one piece.
Need a few pointers on how to do that? I put together a list of 5 ways to simplify your morning routine. Hopefully they help you — even if you’re not a morning person. Heck, following these might even make you a morning person!
And, be sure to leave your tips in the comments.
5 Ways To Simplify Your Morning Routine
Set a coffee timer.
Coffee is a big help to get the morning started. Plus, it tastes delicious. The only problem, I say every morning, is it doesn’t make itself. But, actually, it can. If you have a traditional coffee pot, you can set a timer so your coffee will be ready and waiting as soon as you wake up. It’ll save you a few minutes and that few minutes might be enough to make sure your shoes are matching.
Pack lunch the night before.
Do you cook dinner at home every night? If you do, make sure you cook a little extra. Then, when you’re cleaning up, pack some leftovers for lunch. If you’re not in the mood for leftovers, just make a salad in a jar or sandwich or whatever you like. Put it in your lunch bag and leave that in the fridge. Then, you can just grab it in the morning. It’s so much easier than being sleepy and trying to figure out what to make for lunch — especially since that often turns into just grabbing cash to buy some fast food.
Plan your outfit.
Check the weather the night before and decide what you want to wear. Set it out in your closet or on a chair in your bedroom the night before. Set out all your accessories too: a belt, jewelry, scarves, and shoes. Wear that outfit and you won’t spend tons of time changing your outfit over and over until you find something you feel like wearing.
Keep your essentials in one location.
How much time do you waste looking for your keys, purse, sunglasses, and anything else you may need for the day? You could spend way too much time running around, trying to find the envelope you were supposed to stick in the mailbox on the way out. If you put that letter in your purse, and keep your purse in the same spot every day, you’ll know exactly where it is in the morning.
Skip the shower.
Sometimes, you just don’t have time to shower in the morning. And that’s okay. Shower at night and then freshen up in the morning with products like Simple® Sensitive Skin Micellar Wipes, Hydrating Cleansing Oil, and Micellar Water. The micellar products are great to use to remove makeup and hydrate your skin, in case you want to use them at night too. The oil is made with 100% pure grapeseed oil. It deeply cleanses and leaves skin feeling soft, is good for all skin types because it balances either oily or dry skin, and is great for just washing your face in the morning.
Speaking of Simple® Sensitive Skin products, you can save $1.50 on ONE (1) Simple® Sensitive Skin product* at Walgreens. Clip a coupon straight to your Balance Rewards card. *Excludes trial and travel sizes. Coupon available 10/1/16 – 10/31/16. Coupon expires 11/28/16.
