CVS sent me ton of stuff from the Just The Basics line. And, I know it’s terrible, but I keep calling it the Back 2 Basics line. It’s a generic line, I think that’s where the name comes from. But I keep looking at it as an all-natural line, which is not the same.
I’m not sure why I’m telling you that as my lead in for the review of the Just The Basics laundry detergent. But such is life.
What I liked about the laundry detergent was the sleekness of it. It looks pretty, the handle is durable, and I seemed to get a lot of loads out of it [[I didn’t count how many, which would have probably been helpful]]. I like the pink too because, well, I’m a girl, so if you can put pink anywhere, I’m all for it.
But, my problem with it was that there wasn’t anything special about it. It cleaned my clothes and had a nice scent when I smushed my nose up in it. The scent didn’t hold in my clothes though. I didn’t get a fresh scent, which I kinda get from other detergents.
If you’re looking to save money, this is a good bet. But if you’re looking for something that makes your clothes smell fresh weeks after washing, eh, you might wanna try something else.
Full Disclosure: I was given this to product test for this review. No money exchanged hands.
