Bite-sized desserts are a double-edged sword. On one hand, they’re really easy to eat. That makes them perfect for parties. You can grab one, pop it in your mouth, and continue mingling. On the other hand, though, they’re really easy to eat. So you have one and next thing you know, you’ve had about 15. And these Puff Pastry S’mores Bites are really easy to overeat.
Or maybe a serving size of them is six.
I made up the recipe, so I can make up the serving size, right?
Well, probably not. But it would sure make me feel a lot better about how many I ate while creating this recipe.
Personally, I liked them a lot better when they were cold. Like 100 times better. They’re okay when they’re warm. The chocolate is melty, and there’s never anything bad about melty chocolate. But when the chocolate solidified and the puff pastry cooled, it was a much different dessert. A much better dessert, according to my taste buds.
You can serve them either way, but knowing they’re great cold means you can make them ahead of time if you’re serving them at a party.
