No matter what type of gamer you’re shopping for — from old school console gamers to Minecraft players — this gifts for gamers list will help you find the perfect item. There are ideas for clothing items, ramen bowls, and more.

Something I absolutely love is that barcades are opening up all over. They’re spaces where you can eat, drink, and play console video games. We’ve gone to a few on our trips recently and loved them.
Those types of games are my speed.
But, there are so many different types of games and gamers out there. And this list is filled with gift ideas for all of them, from your young gamers who love Minecraft to older gamers who loved the original Nintendo console.
None of these items are things to improve their gaming experience, like a gaming chair or a VR headset, because honestly, gamers know exactly which chair is the most aerodynamic for RPGs.
I don’t know that.
So, instead, these ideas are more generic. They might not be the best for serious gamers, but they’re great options for casual gamers.
This gaming gifts list is just one of our many gift guides on Drugstore Divas. Be sure to check out our full list of Holiday Gift Guides to help cross everyone off your list.

Classically Trained T-Shirt
If your gift recipient is around my age, there’s a good chance that one of his first forays into video games was a Nintendo Entertainment System. So this Classically Trained t-shirt is really the right gift for him because it’ll hit him in the feels.
I actually bought it for my brother for his birthday a few years ago and he loved it, so I know your gamer will too.
Mini Arcade Classic Games
My grandma used to have a handheld electronic blackjack game that she loved playing. When we would go visit her, we loved playing it too.
Your friend may not be into blackjack, so, the same concept, but different games, are these mini arcade classic games. There are a bunch of choices, like Tetris and Pac-Man, so you can choose your friend’s favorite game.
Sticki Rolls – Minecraft
When I was a kid, I loved stickers. I would put them in my sticker book or trade them with my friends. So I would have been obsessed with Sticki Rolls, the wearable bracelets that have rolls of stickers on them.
There are a ton of different branded ones, but for your gamer, the Minecraft ones are perfect. Plus, they come with collectible items, like a keychain, that’s so fun.
Pokémon Knit Hat
If your gamer’s game of choice is Pokémon, a Pokémon knit hat is a great gift idea — especially if you’re shopping in the winter because it’s cold then.
There are a couple Pokémon to choose from, like Pikachu and Snorlax. So, figure out who your friend likes best and grab that one.
Nintendo Cartridge Coasters
I actually bought these Nintendo cartridge coasters for my brother for Christmas a couple years ago. The package comes with four coasters with Nintendo cartridge images printed on both sides. There’s all the Marios, Zelda, and more.
This is a really adorable way to save your coffee table.
Gamer’s Stress Ball
Gaming is hard. It’s stressful. Sometimes, you’re doing your very best, and you get clobbered by the enemy. Or everyone thinks you’re sus and you get yeeted from the game.
If you know, you know. And if you know because your kid gets stressed, well, this gamer’s stress ball is for him. It’s shaped like a video game controller and is safer (and cheaper) than tossing an actual controller.
Game Boy Grape-Flavored Candy
Mints and gum are things that people usually have in their purses at all times.
But gamers, they don’t want a random Altoids container. They’d rather this fun Game Boy-shaped container. It’s filled with grape-flavored candy in the shape of the plus-shaped button on the controller. It’s refillable, so your friend can keep this for a long time.
Pac-Man Ramen Bowl
If you have a gamer friend who loves noodles, this Pac-Man ramen bowl is perfect for them. It has a full Pac-Man board all around it, which is so fun.
The difference between a ramen bowl and a soup bowl is a ramen bowl has a divot at the top to rest the top of a pair of chopsticks and a hole on the other side for the bottoms of the chopsticks to rest. And yes, this bowl does come with a pair of chopsticks.
Minecraft Watch
If you have a kid who loves Minecraft (and really, who doesn’t?), this Minecraft watch is perfect. It has creeper faces all over the band and a large digital face to display the time.
Will this guarantee your kid will get places on time? No, absolutely not. But the watch still looks cool.
Super Mario Bros. Icons Light
I bought this Super Mario Bros. icons light for my brother for Christmas a couple years ago and my nephews immediately claimed it for their bedroom. I finally got to see it in their room in real life and it’s incredible and, yeah, it makes sense they stole it to use as a nightlight.
There are three light settings, including one that connects to music that’s playing, which is really fun.
Playstation Classic Console
We have this Playstation Classic console and it’s so much fun. It’s a mini version of the old Playstation and comes pre-loaded with a bunch of classic games with all their terrible graphics and impossibility to beat.
Or maybe that’s us. We’ve been playing one game for years and can’t ever beat it. But, it gives us something to do on nights we feel like staying in, so I think it’s perfect.
Sun-Staches Mario & Luigi Sunglasses
I’m obsessed with these Sun-Staches Mario & Luigi sunglasses. I stumble over them a lot and always mean to buy them for my nephews, but I never do.
If you have two little gamers to shop for, these sunglasses are perfect. The hat and mustache are attached, making them a perfect funny disguise (or easy Halloween costume).
I Went Outside The Graphics Weren’t That Great T-Shirt
When I was looking for good gifts for gamers, this quote kept coming up. Over and over and over. But it wasn’t until I saw it on a t-shirt that I decided to include it on this gifts for gamers list.
There are actually a ton of versions of this shirt, so you have a lot of options.
Nintendo Entertainment System
If your gamer friend is a millennial, there’s a very good chance they got started by playing the original Nintendo. And there’s a very good chance that Nintendo is long gone.
So an amazing gift would be the original Nintendo Entertainment System. Or the action set so they can play Duck Hunt because that is a great game (even though we were all young and terrible when we played and would hold the gun right up to the television screen to hit the ducks. I don’t know how that worked, but it did).
Sonic The Hedgehog Squishmallow
I actually gave this Halloween-themed Sonic The Hedgehog Squishmallow to my nephew this year and he loved it so much.
You don’t have to get your gamer this specific Squishmallow. Any video game-themed Squishmallow will be great.
Game Boy Heat Change Mug
This Game Boy heat change mug is the perfect glass for your gamer.
When it’s cold, it looks like a Game Boy that’s off. When it’s hot, you have the end credits of a level from Super Mario. But, sorry Mario. The princess is in another castle. Probably.
Arcade 1Up Game
When Pete and I went to Comic Con a few years ago, we played Rampage on an Arcade 1Up console. I was ready to buy one for our house because it was so much fun. The only reason we didn’t is because we have Rampage on another system.
Last year, my friend actually bought an Arcade 1Up Game for her husband for Christmas and he was obsessed. So, definitely get this for your gamer friend. It’s such a good gift.
Nintendo Controller Ornament
If you’re looking for a small gift for your Nintendo fan, this Nintendo controller ornament is perfect. It looks exactly like the original NES controller.
I bought my brother a luggage tag like this a few years ago (which he still uses, I noticed, when I dropped him off at the airport recently), so I might have to grab this for him too.
D20 Giant Dice
Whenever we think of Dungeons & Dragons, we think of people playing in the basement. But we shouldn’t, especially when there’s this super fun, giant pink D20 die that’s meant to be used outside.
It’s made of foam and bounces and just brings a lot of fun to any campaign you’re running (and if you don’t know what the last part means, it’s okay. Your gamer will).
Pac-Man Arcade Game Christmas Ornament
I love buying us a new Christmas ornament annually that has something to do with what we did that year. For my nephew, I buy him an ornament that fits his personality.
If you do the latter, this Pac-Man arcade game Christmas ornament would be perfect for an old school gamer who loves arcade games.
