Chocolate is a Valentine’s staple, but if you want something different, this Non-Candy Valentine’s Day Gifts For Kids is filled with really great non-edible ideas.
To make sure you have the best holiday, be sure to read our other Valentine’s Day posts.

Valentine’s Day is in less than a week. Are you ready for it?
(Yeah, that Taylor Swift line was accidental. I promise. But still, are you ready for Valentine’s?)
If you still need to pick up a gift or two, don’t worry. You aren’t stuck with chocolate or some other sweet treat. The kids will probably get enough of that at school anyway.
Instead, pick up something off our list of non-candy Valentine’s Day Gift Ideas.
We kept these ideas specifically for kids, and split this into two lists: one for girls and one for boys. Of course, you can shop off either list for your kids, but splitting the lists into genders worked really well for our Non-Candy Easter Basket Fillers For Kids list, so I thought it would work well here as well.

Of course, we are big fans of Valentine’s desserts too. If you want to make some, rather than buying them to give as gifts, check out our list of Easy Valentine’s Day Dessert Recipes.

Valentine’s Day Ideas for Girls

Heart-Shaped Sunglasses
What little girl doesn’t want her own sunglasses? You can stop her from stealing yours by getting her a pair of her very own.
These Heart-Shaped Sunglasses are cool gift for Valentine’s Day because, well, they’re shaped as a heart. These are specifically sized for kids, making them perfect for your daughter.

LEGO Wildflowers
LEGO came out with this very cool building set line that’s all flowers. There’s a bouquet of roses, a bouquet of wildflowers, and a few more. They’re absolutely gorgeous when they’re assembled.
So sure, you could buy your daughter flowers. That’s a great way to make her smile. Or, you can buy her these LEGO kits and spend time making them with her. That’s even better.

Valentine’s Day Books
I love giving books for holiday gifts, especially when our nieces and nephews are young. Books are a really good way to keep them off screens and tablets.
We actually put together a great list of the Best Valentine’s Day Books For Kids, so you can check that out for our specific recommendations. Or you can click the link below, scroll Amazon, and find the best one for your little love.

Sticki Rolls Sticki Bands
Jewelry is so popular for Valentine’s Day, but you’re obviously not gifting diamonds to a little girl. But, you can still give her jewelry.
Just give it to her in the form of Stick Rolls Sticki Bands. They’re cute bracelets with plastic beads and sticker rolls. She can unravel the rolls to reveal a bunch of cute (and glittery) stickers. She’ll love it.

Stuffed Animal
When I was young, I love stuffed animals so much. So my favorite gift on this list would have been a Valentine’s Day themed stuffed animal.
There are so many out there to choose from. If you don’t know what to get, look for one with this year’s date on it. That will be so important in the future.

Valentine’s Day Sweatshirt
When kids are young, there’s always Valentine’s Day parties at school and town events to go to … all cute places where you want to dress them up. So having a ton of Valentine’s Day-themed clothes are great.
So gifting something for Valentine’s Day is perfect, in my opinion.
Valentine’s Day Ideas for Boys

Temporary Tattoos
Kids love tattoos. So giving them for Valentine’s Day is a great idea.
If you want to be like us, you can make our I Mustache You To Be My Valentine Cards, which are perfect for mustache tattoos. Or you can just buy Valentine’s Day temporary tattoos, which is a little easier.

Crazy Straws
You can purchase really fun Valentine’s Day-themed crazy straws for your kids, who will absolutely love drinking from them.
If you want to be a little extra, make our DIY Halloween Crazy Straws Gift Idea. It comes with a free printable in the post, so these are super easy for you to make.

Valentine’s Day Graphic T-Shirt
If your son is in school, there’s a good chance he’ll need something festive to wear for his classroom Valentine’s Day party. So that’s a good reason to pick him up a Valentine’s Day graphic t-shirt as a gift.
There are so many options out there, so you can definitely find one that fits your child’s vibe.

Scratch-Off Valentine Jokes
If your son loves telling jokes, this set of Scratch-Off Valentine Jokes is perfect. He’ll be able to read the joke and then scratch off the punch line — making himself laugh.
For some extra fun, he’ll be able to tell you the joke after.

Minecraft Stuffed Animal Bouquet
Stuffies are so popular with both boys and girls, but this Minecraft stuffed anima bouquet (which comes with five stuffed animals) feels more for boys to me. Probably because my nephew is into Minecraft and my niece isn’t yet.
I love how cute and vibrant the plushies are. Plus, Steve even has a bit-heart. Perfect for Valentine’s.
