Oreo cookies dip really well, so chocolate covered Oreo cookies are really popular.

But they’re really expensive. Ones that are decorated can cost between $4 and $5 per cookie.

Nobody wants to spend that, especially around the holidays when your budget is already tight. So, go ahead and choose one of the Christmas Oreo cookie recipes off of this list.

Make them yourself to save a whole lot of money and impress your friends.

Reindeer Oreo Cookies

Chocolate-dipped Oreo cookies are decorated with candy eyeballs, pieces of pretzels, and either a red or black sugar pearl to make them look like Santa’s reindeer.

If you’re gifting these to your friends, I suggest making one with a red nose to like Rudolph per set and the rest with black noses to look like Santa‘s less famous but also necessary reindeer.

Chocolate-Covered Christmas Oreo Cookies

We don’t often get snow here in North Carolina (although we did twice last year, which was wild). So, if we want to see snow, we usually have to see it in our treats, like these Chocolate-Covered Christmas Oreo Cookies (you like what I did there?).

You dip them in milk chocolate first, then use white chocolate to look like snow along a rooftop. Or just like white chocolate if it doesn’t cooperate. Add some cute Christmas sprinkles and you have a really festive cookie.

Christmas Wreath Oreo Cookies

If you have a steady hand, plus a piping bag and some piping tips, you definitely want to make these Christmas Wreath Oreo Cookies for your Christmas tray.

You dip them all in white chocolate then, when that’s cool, it’s time to decorate.

Pipe green candy melts to make a wreath, then cover that in sprinkles (which are meant to be the Christmas ornaments that are usually on the wreath). Pipe a bow from melted red chocolate and it looks like something you could hang on your door all December long.

Oreo Snow Globe Cookies

When my grandma was alive, she collected snow globes. So anytime I see a snow globe, I think of her. Regardless of your reason, you should make these Oreo Snow Globe Cookies.

Dipped Oreo cookies are decorated with store-bought decor, which makes it just a little bit easier because you’re not hand piping any of the pieces inside the snow globe.

Brush a piece of chocolate that’s brushed with edible glitter to make the base and you have a very impressive cookie.

Three Oreo cookies decorated to look like Christmas ornaments -- one with a bow, one with Santa, and one with a candy cane -- with the words "Christmas Ornament Oreo Cookies" digitally written on top.

Christmas Ornament Oreo Cookies

I give my godson a new Christmas ornament every year, but I think he would prefer if I gave him these Christmas Ornament Oreo cookies instead.

When he’s older, he’ll appreciate the ornaments. For now, he likes sugar.

These are pretty similar to the Snow Globe Oreo cookies above, however, the piece of chocolate attached to these is placed in the opposite side of the cookie, so it looks like the ornament cap. For this illusion, you want to color it with edible glitter, so it looks metallic, not like piece of chocolate.
