5 Minute Garlic Bread

5 Minute Garlic Bread

Garlic bread can be quick and easy if you make this five minute garlic bread from www.drugstoredivas.net.

There are lots of times when I want garlic bread. It’s delicious and goes great with pasta.

But making garlic bread takes so much longer than I ever have time for. It’s never something I think about ahead of time. It pops into my head as pasta’s boiling, leaving me a solid five minutes to make some. Which I can do.

Yup, I have created a super quick 5 Minute Garlic Bread recipe. Now you can have it on a whim too.

5 Minute Garlic Bread

What You’ll Need:

  • 4 slices of Italian bread
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 2 teaspoons of butter
  • Italian seasoning
  • Garlic powder
  • Onion powder

What You’ll Do:

Chop the garlic cloves.

Lather each piece of bread with 1/2 a teaspoon of butter.

Top with the garlic cloves and seasonings.

Bake in a toaster oven at 375 degrees for four minutes.

That’s it. You get a good crunch on the bread, and it has all the taste of a good garlic bread in just a fraction of the time. I make this a lot and we are never disappointed.

I’d say part of the trick is using a deli sliced loaf of Italian bread. It mimics the taste of a traditional Italian bread. I wouldn’t go with a sandwich bread for this because it just wouldn’t be the same.

Pair this bread with a bagged salad and pasta and you can have a great weeknight dinner on the table in under ten minutes.

What are your favorite garlic bread seasonings?

Use Blurb's BookWright to create books from blog posts. For our second Christmas together, I made Pete a cookbook of the recipes he created for Drugstore Divas. The images and instructions were in blog posts. So I figured I could just copy and paste. Oh, it was not that easy. I spent countless hours on a laptop that was just not good enough, cutting and pasting and moving. And pulling my hair out. I finished and Pete loved it (and still loves it). But I cringe a little knowing how ill-skilled I was then and how much better I could do now.

Just how much, you ask. Well, Blurb has created BookWright. It is a new blog import feature. You can turn digital content (into a beautiful book. This new feature supports Blogger, WordPress, Squarespace, and more. It pulls text and images directly into the tool, so you can craft the book.

That’s exactly what I was doing by hand so many Christmases ago. This seriously would have saved me a ton of time and would have come out better too!

Now is the time to try it. Now through February 2, all Blurb books are buy one, get one 50% off. Just enter the code BOGO50 at checkout.

Find out how to get ready for Valentine's Date Night from www.drugstoredivas.net.Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. Are you excited? I love Valentine’s Day dates. They’re really special to me. I’m not the kind of girl who makes a big deal out of Valentine’s. I don’t expect flowers or chocolate, but I do like to go out for Valentine’s Day. It’s a good excuse to get dressed up and go on a date with your spouse or significant other, and that’s really important. So often, we get so busy with life that we forget to do things like date our spouse. Valentine’s Day is a good reminder to stop and plan date night.

But if you forget to plan date night, do you remember how to get ready for Valentine’s date night? We’ve got some reminders for you in this post.

How To Get Ready For Valentine’s Date Night

Find someone to go on a date with.
Pretty simple, I know, but you have to find someone to go on a date with. Maybe it’s your significant other; maybe it’s your kid; or maybe it’s your mom. These are all dates. So you can easily find someone to go on a Valentine’s date with, even if you’re not in a relationship.

Make a reservation.
Once you figure out who you’re going out with, you’ll be able to decide where you are going to go. If your date doesn’t like fish, don’t choose a seafood restaurant. When you figure out where you want to go, call and make a reservation. You don’t want to show up and not be able to sit, causing you to run around on Valentine’s Day. So the earlier you can book, the better.

Find an outfit.
When you decide where you’re going, you’ll be able to figure out what type of outfit is most appropriate. If you’re going to a fancy restaurant, jeans are probably not the way to go. Even if you’re going to a place where jeans are okay, you might want to wear a dress anyway. I would much rather be overdressed somewhere than underdressed.

Shower.
Valentine’s Day is a Tuesday this year, which means you have to get through a full work or school day before you get to date night. Shower and wash the day off of you. Shower when you get home. Speaking of showering, starting today you can head into Walgreens to save $1 on any ONE (1) participating AXE or Caress product. Click the link here by February 5 to load the coupon to your card and use it by March 5.

You can use it on Axe Black Bodywash for him (with notes of bergamot, rosemary and cedarwood to create a relaxing fragrance experience for the body and mind, which is good in case your man is nervous for date night) or Caress Love Forever Bodywash (with up to 12 hours of long-lasting fragrance, plus — and this is so cool — it has a breakthrough Fragrance Touch Technology that releases bursts of perfume with every touch of your skin) for you.

Get ready.
Doing your hair or make up? Last minute touch up on polish that chipped on your nails? Whatever you need to do to get ready, do it post-shower. This is a good time to spray on some perfume too.

Grab your gift.
If you have a gift for your date, which is not required but always nice, grab it as you’re running out the door. You don’t want to forget it.

How To Save On Diapers

How To Save On Diapers

This How To Save On Diapers post is sponsored by ShopHer Media.

Baby on the way? Learn How To Save On Diapers from www.drugstoredivas.net.My friend has a baby on the way, so she asked me recently if I knew how to save on diapers. Pete and I don’t have kids, so I’ve never had to stockpile diapers, but I’ve often gotten them for gifts for my friends who have had babies. So I’ve gotten pretty good at knowing how to save on them.

I have a few tips to share with you. This is good for new moms, but it’s also good if you have a friend who is pregnant. You can stock up for them and have a great gift for when the baby is here.

If you have any others tips to share, be sure to leave them in the comments and I’ll add them to the post.

How To Save On Diapers

Start early.
The sooner you can start stocking up, the easier it will be. So as soon as you find out you’re pregnant, start looking at the ads to see if you find any great deals. Diapers don’t expire, so you can start grabbing them in various sizes once you get that positive pregnancy test.

Look for clearance.
When companies change packaging, stores put packs with the old packaging on clearance in order to make room for the new designs. Every time you’re in a store, just take a quick stroll down the diaper aisle. If you see any clearance packs, grab them.

Pay with “free” money.
If you use an activity tracker, Walgreens will award you Balance Rewards points for walking or running. Pair those points with Walgreens Coupons and you can save even more. Even better, if there’s a Register Rewards deal, now you can triple dip and really save.

Don’t be brand loyal.
If you don’t stick to a specific brand, you’ll be able to save more. Different brands will be on sale during different weeks, so if you vary what your baby wears, you will be able to save more.

Get samples.
Samples do take a while to get to you, but it’s worth it to request them. Have a sample sent to your parents’ house and your in-laws’ too. Every diaper you can get for free is a diaper you don’t have to pay for.
