My brother had so many Hot Wheels cars when he was young. He had this very cool briefcase-like carrying case for all his little cars.
One of my favorite cars that he had was a color changing one. It would be white when it was dry, and then we would stick it in warm water and it would change to red(-ish). Eventually, the magic wore off and it got stuck being a funny shade of pink.
It’s a good memory.
And honestly, I feel like everyone has a memory of growing up with Hot Wheels cars. Every little boy I know is or has been obsessed with Hot Wheels cars, so it’s such an easy gift idea. Except, there are so many choices out there so picking a Hot Wheels toy can be overwhelming.
If you’re shopping for some Hot Wheels fanatics and feel that way, you’re in luck. Just pick something off of our list of the Top 10+ Hot Wheels Gift Ideas and your Hot Wheels fan will be thrilled.
And, of course, if all else fails, just grab a bunch of new cars. Those work too.

Hot Wheels Triple Loop Stunt Loops
There’s so much fun to be had with this Hot Wheels Triple Loop Stunt Loops set.
You set the car on the side, then push a lever that launches the car through all three loops before it flies through the air and lands in a basket.
You can combine it with other pieces from the track sets set to make even more obstacles for the car and more fun for your recipient.
Hot Wheels Launching Garage Playset
Your Hot Wheels lover wants to see their cars fly across the room. Trust me.
Reduce the instinct to throw their cars with this Hot Wheels Launching Garage Playset. Set one of the die-cast cars on the silver portion of the lever, push down on the backside, and the car flies. That’s the best part for kids.
The best part for adults is that this closes up for easy storage.
Hot Wheels 100 Car Case
If your Hot Wheels fan has a lot of Hot Wheels cars, a carrying case is the perfect gift idea.
As the name implies, this Hot Wheels 100 Car Case holds 100 Hot Wheels cars. Which may or may not be enough for your Hot Wheels fan. But at least it’s a start.
Hot Wheels Monster Jam Tour Favorites
There’s a 100% chance that your Hot Wheels fan already has Hot Wheels cars. But does he or she have Hot Wheels Monster Jam cars? Probably not.
The only bad thing about his set of four is that the cars are selected at random. You can’t pick the Monster trucks you want. So if you’ve never ordered this set before, that’s fine. But if you have, you can’t prevent getting duplicates.
Hot Wheels Basic Car 50-Pack
If you are shopping for a new Hot Wheels fan, this Hot Wheels Basic Car 50-Pack is a great thing to buy to get them started. It comes with a variety of 50 Hot Wheels cars.
Each car is individually wrapped. And it comes with more than just cars. Boats, motorcycles, and airplanes can be in the pack too. Of course, the selection will vary by the pack, but this is a good way to kick off a collection.
Hot Wheels Massive Loop Mayhem Track Set
This Hot Wheels Massive Loop Mayhem Track Set reminds me of the sooperdooperLooper at Hershey Park, which (fun fact) was my first ever roller coaster with a loop.
This 28-inch wide track loop comes with one car, although you’re actually able to race multiple cars on the track at once. Eventually, they’ll crash. But the fun is to see how many you can get going at once.
Hot Wheels Color Shifters Sharkport Showdown
This Hot Wheels Color Shifters Sharkport Showdown is a lot of fun. You can drive up and down it, avoiding a shark bite. My nephews got a similar one for Christmas last year and we spent so much time playing it and trying to avoid the shark. It’s a great way to have your kids play together. Believe me.
But, it’s even better if you have Hot Wheels Color Shifting cars. There are two spots for water on the Sharkport Showdown track. At those spots, you leave the color-changing cars for a stint — and the cars go the rest of the way as a different color. Well, until they make a pit stop (you see what I did there) in the next water pit.
Hot Wheels City Robo T-Rex Ultimate Garage
I can’t imagine where your Hot Wheels fan’s family is gonna find room for this, but that’s the fun part about giving gifts for kids who aren’t yours. You’re not the one who has to figure out where it goes.
This incredibly amazing Hot Wheels City Robo T-Rex Ultimate Garage has room for more than 100 Hot Wheels cars. So not only is it a playset, it’s also a storage and display case.
Hot Wheels Remote Control Cars
This Hot Wheels Remote Control Cars toy is so much fun. I can’t believe I never heard of it when my brothers were young. Maybe it didn’t exist. I don’t know. But it does now and it’s so cool.
You use a remote control to control the Hot Wheels cars. You can use it to drive the RC cars on tracks, do loops, make leaps … so much fun stuff. And it’s hands on … but also hands off. I love it so much, and your Hot Wheels fan will too.
Hot Wheels City Downtown Super Fuel Stop Play Set
Every Hot Wheels world needs a gas station. I mean, how else would those cars get enough fuel to drive all over, amirite?
So every Hot Wheels fan needs this Hot Wheels City Downtown Super Fuel Stop Play Set. Plus, it’s pretty tiny compared to the other play sets on this list, so it’ll be easy for parents to find a spot for (in case, in this case, you’re the parent).
CubicFun Race Tracks
So this CubicFun Race Tracks toy, obviously, isn’t a Hot Wheels brand toy or accessory. But it’s perfect for little hands. And if you’re shopping for a future Hot Wheels fan, this toy is perfect.
There are eight “challenges” on the course, which is great for a child’s mind and fine motor skills. It comes with three mini cars (a police car, ambulance, and fire engine), which are great for education. Plus, it’s adorable.
City Playmat
This one is also not Hot Wheels, but little kids can use it for Hot Wheels cars. It’s a little easier for younger kids to play on than one of the play sets above because they need less fine motor skills to keep the cars on these “tracks.”
This is meant for kids of all ages, but it’s definitely better for younger kids.
