It’s almost apple season, the time for apple picking and apple recipes.
Honestly, there’s more to apples than just apple pie. You can add apples to sandwiches, in soups, in tarts, in drinks. Recipes with apples are (almost) endless.
So to help you this apple season, we put together a list of over 120 apple recipes.
I broke the list into a few different categories, just so you could easily find a recipe. There are savory apple recipes (so this is anything you could eat for/with a meal), apple desserts and sweet recipes (like oatmeals), apple drinks, and apple breads.
After the recipes, there are tips for picking the perfect apple, just in case you are overwhelmed by apples and don’t know how to choose them. And finally, there’s a section on how to keep your apples fresh.
So, let’s get into it, shall we?
The Ultimate List Of Apple Recipes
I tried really hard to make sure I wasn’t repeating any recipes. A full list of just apple pie variants wouldn’t be very interesting to anyone.
If the names of the recipes were similar but the cooking methods or a bunch of ingredients varied, both recipes made the list. But if it was the same recipe but from different bloggers, I only picked one of those two.
Also, all these recipes use fresh apples, not apple juice, apple pie filling, or apple compote.

Tips For Picking The Perfect Apple
If you want to pick the perfect apple, we have a couple tips for you.
– Squeeze the apple. You want the apple to be firm. If it feels soft, leave it at the store.
– Look for bruises. If the apple was damaged, it’ll have some bruising and it might have broken skin. Don’t pick those apples.
– Check out the skin. If the apple’s skin is shiny, buy it. If the apple’s skin is starting to dull, the apple may be past its prime.
How To Keep Your Apples Fresh
If you want to make sure your apples last longer, these tips are for you.
– Be careful with the apples. When you’re picking the apples in the store, carefully place them in your bag. You don’t want to haphazardly dump them in the bag. If you do, they’ll bang on each other and that can cause bruises.
– Store apples in the fridge in a bag in a crisper drawer. Even though apples aren’t refrigerated in the store, you want to refrigerate them when you’re at home. Keeping them on the counter in a fruit basket will ripen them faster.
– Don’t wash apples until you’re ready to use them. The moisture from washing them will speed the ripening process. So leave them alone until you are actually ready to eat them or cook them.
