Edible Glitter-Dipped Marshmallow Recipe (Perfect For Frozen Parties)

edible glitter recipeI was on Pinterest recently and saw a pin about edible glitter. It looked beautiful. So I got an idea about making edible glitter marshmallows for favors at the wedding.

Turns out, the photo in the pin is not homemade edible glitter, even though the pin did contain the recipe for edible glitter. In the photo, it’s more of a pearl dust. And that’s the thing about Pinterest. I always say that not even photo is a DIY by an actual regular person. And, unfortunately, not every pin is exactly what it says it is (which makes it hard for an actual regular person to replicate it).

I made this edible glitter and, while it’s thicker than the pearl dust, it actually came out really pretty (and perfect for a Frozen party).

Edible Glitter-Dipped Marshmallow Recipe

What You’ll Need:

  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon food coloring
  • marshmallows
  • white chocolate chips

What You’ll Do:

Preheat the oven to 350.

Mix sugar and food coloring. Stir until completely combined.

Spread the colored sugar over a non-greased cookie sheet. I used a napkin to help myself spread it. Look how blue the napkin became! That could be your fingers if you try to do this by hand.

Bake at 350 for 10 minutes.

When the edible glitter is done, pour it into a bowl.

In a separate bowl, melt white chocolate chips.

Dip the marshmallow in the melted chocolate.
