This 10+ Gifts For National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation Fans post is partially sponsored.
Pete’s family loves National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. They watch it every year. And actually last year, when it was the 30th anniversary of the movie, Pete and I went to see it in the theater.
Every couple years, I come up with something National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation to give Pete’s dad for Christmas.
But Pete’s dad isn’t the only fan of this movie. I hear people quote it all the time.
So I finally sat down and actually put together a list of 10+ Gifts For National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation Fans.
Pete’s dad’s Christmas gift is on this list. Shh. Don’t tell him.
10+ Gifts For National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation Fans
As with the majority of our gift guides, this list is in no particular order.
Funko POP! characters are always adorable. But this Christmas Vacation Clark Funko POP! is so good. Clark has on the Santa outfit, which is a classic scene from the movie, and he’s holding his Wally World Moose eggnog class.
If you’ve seen the movie, both of those things stand out and make this POP! amazing. And if you haven’t seen the movie, well, it probably doesn’t make sense (and maybe none of the other gifts on this list will either).
You can’t get the Clark Funko POP! and then forget about Cousin Eddie. Clark and Cousin Eddie are the two real main characters of the movie. Cousin Eddie crashes the Christmas Clark worked so hard for, so this Cousin Eddie Funko POP! should absolutely crash the shelf that the Clark Funko POP! is displayed on.
Really, it would be so fitting.
One of the funniest parts of the movie is when they ask Aunt Bethany, who is about 800 years old, to say grace at Christmas dinner. “Grace? She passed away thirty years ago.”
Her husband, Louis, gets frustrated and tells her they mean they want her to say the blessing. To which Aunt Bethany starts, “I pledge allegiance … “
It’s honestly one of the movie’s most quoted lines, so this Christmas Vacation “Grace” T-Shirt is perfect for any fan.
4. Christmas Vacation Christmas Houses
I love setting up our Christmas houses every year. I have three of my grandma’s houses and a few of her accessories. And every year since I started setting her Christmas houses up, I’ve been getting a new one for myself and then other accessories for my Christmas village.
If you know someone who loves Christmas houses, or just wants to start a Christmas village, this is perfect. You can pick up the Griswold Holiday House, garage, and Cousin Eddie’s RV. There are figurines too, so you can finish the entire scene.
Purchase via the links above.
Even if you haven’t seen National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, from this post you can sort of gather that Cousin Eddie is an overstepping pain in the neck. So you shouldn’t be surprised that one of the movie’s most quotable lines comes from Cousin Eddie’s Christmas dinner request. “Save the neck for me Clark!” he says.
And shortly after, the turkey explodes into dust.
So, this Save The Neck For Me Clark! Towel is absolutely perfect. The National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation fan on your shopping list can display it all November for Thanksgiving and then all December for Christmas.
National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation opens with the Griswold family driving to choose the perfect Christmas tree. They search and search until the family is practically frozen, and then Clark finds the perfect tree and chops it down despite his family’s confusion about if it’s too big.
It’s too big.
But Clark straps it to the roof anyway, and that moment is captured in this Griswold Car Salt And Pepper Shaker by Zak Designs. The two pieces sit together when it’s on your kitchen table as a super cute display piece. But then, you fill one with salt and the other with pepper and they’re functional.
Despite an insane number of screengrabs depicting this Clark Griswold chainsaw scene, I can’t remember him using a chainsaw in this outfit for this life of me.
He does grab a chainsaw to chop down a tree that ends up in the neighbor’s house, but I don’t remember it being in a hockey mask. But this Clark Griswold Christmas Ornament depict that exact moment. Sounds like a good excuse for me to rewatch the movie.
There’s a scene in National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation where Clark and Cousin Eddie are drinking eggnog out of moose mugs. It’s so iconic.
Speaking of that eggnog scene, there’s a long quote that Clark says that’s kind of iconic. If you’ve seen the movie, I bet you started reciting it just now.
If you haven’t seen the movie, well, that part is written directly onto the Christmas Vacation Eggnog Towels. Your gift recipient will love them, especially because there’s an image of the moose mug on top. Trust me.
Spoiler alert. Although, this movie has been out for 31 years. If you haven’t seen it yet, that’s on you.
Clark Griswold is expecting to get a bonus at work, enough money so he can put in a pool. Instead, he gets a subscription to the Jelly Of The Month Club. And, after the week he’s had, he loses it. He goes on an epic rant, which is one of two iconic word-loaded speeches in the movie. One of them has a curse in it, so I didn’t want to choose it for any gift ideas. This Clark Griswold Speech Art Print is curse-free (although it is a little foul mouthed).
It only comes as a print, so you’ll need to buy a frame and mat for it as well.
If you’ve seen the movie, you know why this Nicollette Scorsese Autographed “Mele Kalikimaka” Photo is the perfect gag gift for a man. If you’ve never seen the movie, it makes less sense.
But, to try and explain it. Clark sees this woman behind a counter in a store and stutters as he tries to explain what Christmas gift he needs help buying. Later, he imagines her poolside at the pool he is planning to build with his bonus. “Mele Kalikimaka” plays.
So, for big fans of National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, this is an amazing gift idea.
12. Jelly Of The Month Club Mug
If you’ve been reading this post start to finish, you know that one of the movie’s key plot points is that Clark gets enrolled in the Jelly Of The Month Club as his holiday bonus.
So I’m in love with this Jelly Of The Month Club Mug from Zak Designs. It’s shaped like a jelly jar, holds 10 oz. of fluid, and will be the pride of your National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation fan’s kitchen.
A couple Christmases ago, Pete’s dad ordered everyone in the family National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation t-shirts. The one above is actually my print, and I wore it when Pete and I went to see the movie in theaters last year. Pete wore his too (but it has a curse word on it, so I can’t link it).
My shirt isn’t available anymore, but if you click here you can see a bunch of options with different images, quotes and more.
