You can’t get the Clark Funko POP! and then forget about Cousin Eddie. Clark and Cousin Eddie are the two real main characters of the movie. One of the funniest parts of the movie is when they ask Aunt Bethany, who is about 800 years old, to say grace at Christmas dinner. “Grace? She passed away thirty years ago.”

Her husband, Louis, gets frustrated and tells her they mean they want her to say the blessing. To which Aunt Bethany starts, “I pledge allegiance … “

I love setting up our Christmas houses every year. I have three of my grandma’s houses and a few of her accessories. And every year since I started setting her Christmas houses up, I’ve been getting a new one for myself and then other accessories for my Christmas village.

Even if you haven’t seen National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, from this post you can sort of gather that Cousin Eddie is an overstepping pain in the neck. So you shouldn’t be surprised that one of the movie’s most quotable lines comes from Cousin Eddie’s Christmas dinner request. “Save the neck for me Clark!” he says.

Despite an insane number of screengrabs depicting this Clark Griswold chainsaw scene, I can’t remember him using a chainsaw in this outfit for this life of me.

He does grab a chainsaw to chop down a tree that ends up in the neighbor’s house, but I don’t remember it being in a hockey mask. But this Clark Griswold Christmas Ornament depict that exact moment. Sounds like a good excuse for me to rewatch the movie.

Spoiler alert. Although, this movie has been out for 31 years. If you haven’t seen it yet, that’s on you.

Clark Griswold is expecting to get a bonus at work, enough money so he can put in a pool. Instead, he gets a subscription to the Jelly Of The Month Club. And, after the week he’s had, he loses it. He goes on an epic rant, which is one of two iconic word-loaded speeches in the movie. One of them has a curse in it, so I didn’t want to choose it for any gift ideas.
