I don’t relax enough. To be honest, I don’t relax at all. I wake up, start working, and then I don’t move until Pete comes home from work. We take a walk, then I start cooking dinner. We eat, clean up, and then I work from my phone until bedtime. The other night after dinner, I made homemade bubble bath.
I have no idea when I’m planning on using it. But I know that it will force me to actually have to relax, far away from electronics. And if you are one of those people who are always on the go, you probably need to force yourself to sit still too. Running yourself a bath is a great way to do that.
Homemade Bubble Bath
You can make this with your favorite body wash. If you use unscented body wash, you can add your favorite essential oils. I simplified this completely. Instead, I used the new Softsoap Pure Zen Relaxing Body Wash in Rosewater & Lotus Flower. Rosewater is used for anxiety, so it fits perfectly into a bubble bath.
The collection also has a Jasmine & Watermint variant. The scent on that one is pretty mild, so it’s not exactly great for bubble bath, but it’s good for body wash.
What You’ll Need:
- 1/2 cup Softsoap Zen body wash
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon honey
What You’ll Do:
Crack the egg. You’ll want to use the white to make your homemade bubble bath but you can put the yolk in the fridge (and cook it for breakfast).
The egg is the secret in this one. It’s the secret on how to make a bubble bath with lots of bubbles.
Measure out your body wash.
Mix the three ingredients together.
Funnel them into a cute container. Or not cute. Whatever you want. I used mini milk bottles because they look adorable on our bathtub.
I love this recipe because you can make this homemade bubble bath without glycerin and you can make it with products you have in your home right now.
