I don’t relax enough. To be honest, I don’t relax at all. I wake up, start working, and then I don’t move until Pete comes home from work. We take a walk, then I start cooking dinner. We eat, clean up, and then I work from my phone until bedtime.

The other night after dinner, I made homemade bubble bath. Which was for this post. So it was work. Not self-care. But, when I do use it, that it will force me to actually have to relax, far away from electronics.

And if you are one of those people who are always on the go, you probably need to force yourself to sit still too. Running yourself a bath is a great way to do that.

You can make this with your favorite body wash. If you use unscented body wash, you can add your favorite essential oils. I simplified this completely by using scented body wash.

Crack the egg and separate the white and the yolk.

You’ll want to use the white to make your homemade bubble bath but you can put the yolk in the fridge (and cook it for breakfast).

The egg is the secret to make a bubble bath with lots of bubbles.

Add the body wash and honey to the egg white.

Mix the three ingredients together.

Funnel them into a cute container. Or not cute. Whatever you want. I used mini milk bottles because they look adorable on our bathtub.

I love this recipe because you can make this homemade bubble bath without glycerin and you can make it with products you have in your home right now.

Purchase Bubble Bath Online:

If you want to take a bubble bath, but you don’t want to make your own, you can purchase bubble bath from the following stores and drugstores online:

And of course, you can shop your local grocery store and have bubble bath delivered via Instacart.

Be mindful of a store’s minimum cart total to qualify for free shipping. Also, consider curbside or instore pickup to avoid paying for shipping.

A bottle of body wash with a towel around its base and the words "Homemade Body Wash From Bar Soap" digitally written on top.

More Homemade Bath Products:

Bubble bath isn’t the only bath product you can make at home. You can also make homemade body wash and sugar scrub.
