If you need a unique housewarming gift idea, go with this DIY Housewarming Toilet Paper Roll Cake from www.drugstoredivas.net.When you are moving into a new place, you have a lot to think about. You have to pick up boxes and packing tape, plus bubble wrap, pack all your belongings, and then figure out how to get them from your old place to your new one.

You also have to make sure your old place is completely clean, your new place is ready to be occupied, that all your contracts are signed …

There’s a lot to do. Some of the things you don’t thing about: making sure you don’t pack your toilet paper and toothpaste.

So if you are looking for a housewarming gift, products like toilet paper, toothpaste, shampoo and conditioner, are perfect. Of course, you don’t want to just put them in a gift bag. Boring is not your style. Instead, you’ll want to create our DIY Housewarming Toilet Paper Roll Cake.

You can pick up everything you need at CVS this week. During the week of April 29, you can get $10 in ExtraCare Bucks when you spend $30 on select P&G products. Included in the deal is everything I picked up for this post: a Charmin Ultra Soft Mega pack, Crest toothpaste, Oral B floss, Pantene shampoo and conditioner, and Dawn dish soap.

Even better, these products are on sale in addition to the ExtraBucks. The oral care products are buy 2 get 1 free, so you can get even more for your gift without spending more money.

What You’ll Need:

  • 8 rolls of Charmin Ultra Soft Mega toilet paper

  • Dawn dish soap
  • 1.5-inch thick ribbon
  • White string
  • Scissors
  • Double-sided tape

What You’ll Do:

Start arranging your products together in the package, just so you get an idea of how everything will fit.

You want to keep the heavy hair care products on the bottom and the light products like the floss as your toilet paper cake topper.

Stack the toilet paper into a cake. The Charmin Ultra Soft Mega rolls are great because 8 rolls are equivalent to 32 rolls. That means they’re very thick and will make a very stable toilet paper cake.

I put five rolls on the bottom tier, two in the middle tier, and a single roll as the top tier.

Arrange five rolls of toilet paper in a circle. There will be a gap in the center. That’s okay.

Tightly wrap a piece of string around the bottom row. This will hold your entire cake together, so be sure tie it as tightly and securely as possible. You can use a different color of string if you’d like, but white will match the toilet paper rolls in case your colored ribbon falls.

Speaking of the ribbon, wrap it around the string, then secure it with double sided tape. That will give it a little give in order to stick the HBA products in it.

For the middle tier, place two toilet paper rolls side by side. Wrap them together with string, then with ribbon.

For the top row, you can skip the string and just tie a piece of ribbon around it.

Next, place the products between the toilet paper and the ribbon.

You can get creative with it as well. I stuck one of the toothpastes and the floss in the center of some of the toilet paper rolls.

Depending on your budget, you can add additional products to your cake, like dish cloths, a scrub brush, wash clothes, toothbrushes, etc. I wanted to stick to products that you could get on sale this week at CVS, but use your creativity.

These three tiers are not stuck to each other. If you start gluing or taping the tiers together, your recipient won’t be able to actually use the toilet paper. And that defeats the purpose of this gift.

That also makes this easy to transport. When you do get your gift where it’s going, stack the layers. You can then dress it up by adding decorative shred around the gift and on the layers. If you make the shred and ribbon match, your gift looks even more special.

What would you add to this Housewarming Toilet Paper Roll Cake?
