When I first met Pete, I would sit at his parents’ kitchen table and have tea while he drank coffee.

Now, Pete and I have tea time at night. It’s a really nice way for the two of us to unwind after a long day of work.

If you have a tea lover you need a gift for, you can’t just give them a coffee mug. I mean, you can, but there are so many nuances to drinking tea that a mug that steeps is a lot better.

So this list is especially helpful if you’re a coffee drinker and pretty much know nothing about tea.

Japanese Tea Set

Pete bought me a Japanese tea set for one of our first Christmases together and we still have it and use it daily. It’s cast iron and really quality.

It came with two equally hefty tea cups, which are perfect for keeping your tea warm.

The kettle has a filter for loose tea, so we just cut open tea bags and pour them into that if we don’t have loose tea.

A wax warmer that says Give Me The Tea on it.

Give Me The Tea Wax Melt Warmer

Tea, to the kids these days, means gossip. And so, give me the tea means give me the gossip. But, to your tea loving friend, it might just mean give me an actual cup of tea.

It’s such a funny play on words, which makes this Give Me The Tea Wax Melt Warmer a great gift.

And, it gives you a good idea too. Not every gift for a tea lover has to be specifically about drinking tea. Some can just be tea related.

A white cup and sauce decorated with flowers.

Fancy Tea Cup

Everything tastes better if you serve it in some fancy vessel. Like serve dinner on your fine China. Serve tea in a fancy mug. Instantly high class.

So, buy your friend a fancy tea cup and saucer, it will elevate the whole tea experience for them.

A tea canister in a kitchen.

Tea Canister

We keep our tea in a cute little glass jar that my mom and I purchased when I moved into my first apartment. It looks better having that on our countertop than a box of tea.

And it has held up well all these years later.

So, if your friend needs something more aesthetically pleasing than a box of tea on the counter, a tea canister is the perfect gift. There are so many to choose from, so you’ll definitely find one to fit your friend’s style.

Tea Infuser

We have a couple plain tea infusers that we use to steep loose tea. But, honestly, those are so boring.

So you definitely want to get a cute tea infuser for your friend, like the Como Tea Llama tea infuser above. It just sits in your tea very adorably.

We actually have a huge list of Cute Animal Tea Infusers with some more ideas.

Tea Bag Holder (for used tea bags)

If your friend makes bagged tea, they usually steep the tea and then need somewhere to lay the tea bag. That’s what a tea bag holder is for.

I don’t know why, but the majority of them are actually shaped like tea kettles. And that’s a universal thing. The one above is mine that my mom bought me from Ireland and yup, shaped like a tea kettle.

Tea Bags

When I was working in the mall years ago, a fancy tea shop opened. You told them what you liked and they mixed and matched loose tea to create a blend for you. I went, fell instantly in love with the tea they made, and went to the counter to order 8 oz.

They told me it would be $95 and I said no thank you and left.

If you have a fancy tea shop like this, get your friend some fancy tea. It’ll be incredible. If not, just go with some tea bags you think they’ll like. That works too.

Tea Gift Card

If your friend likes having tea out, a gift for a coffee shop would be great. I know, I know. I said coffee shop and this list is about tea. But so many coffee shops sell good tea. Or just sell tea.

Trust me, your friend will appreciate it.

A white tea kettle that says Steep Right Up on it.

Steep Right Up Tea Kettle

I laughed so hard when I saw this Steep Right Up tea kettle. It’s just so funny, but I also really love plays on words, so this really spoke to me.

I’m not exactly sure if you can use it as a tea kettle or just as a decoration. But either way, your friend will love it.

Tea Room Tickets

Michelle, her mom, and one of her sons went to a tea room a few years ago and had the best time. You sit, drink eat, eat small tea sandwiches, and just connect and spend time together. There’s no better gift to give someone than your time.

So, this one is a little complicated, but you can do it. I have faith in you.

Buy tea room tickets for you and your friend. It’ll be such a lovely experience for you guys to have together.
