November 11th is Veterans Day. For some, it’s a day to thank the veterans. For others, it’s a remembrance of the time spent defending our freedom. And for restaurants, it’s a way to offer Veteran’s Day deals to say thank you.
I know a free burger isn’t enough to say thank you.
There’s no big enough way to say thank you, thank you for leaving your families so we can stay free with ours; thank you for becoming friends and family with other servicemen and women so you can all serve the best way possible, thank you for trusting those in command; thank you for missing holidays and birthdays so we can be safe at home.
Both my grandpas were a veterans, serving before my time but still serving nonetheless, and today just reminds me of the sacrifices they made, decades ago, so that I could be free.
If you are a serviceman or woman, or a veteran, my heart is with you and your family today. If you’re a veteran (or actively serving, but on shore duty), I’m glad you’re home with your family and hope you can take advantage of these deals. And if you’re actively serving and deployed, I can’t wait until you’re home and can take advantage of these deals another year.

Veterans and current military personnel will receive a card for a free combo meal on 11/11. The card will be valid through December 31.
Golden Corral
Golden Corral is hosting Military Appreciation Night on Monday, November 11 from 4 pm to close. Military heroes can get a free thank you meal.
Great Clips
Retired and active military service members can get a free haircut or can come in for a free haircut card.
Non-military customers who go for a haircut on Veterans Day will receive a free haircut card to give to an active, inactive, or retired military member of any branch. The card will be valid until November 29, 2024.
Hard Rock Cafe
Active and retired military members (with valid ID) can get a free Legendary Burger in addition to their 15% military discount (which is valid for immediate family members as well as friends).
Harris Teeter
All active duty military personnel or veterans get 11% off. Must show military ID and VIC card at checkout to receive the discount.
