Being a teacher is a lot of work and often a thankless job. But not during National Teacher Appreciation Week. That’s when a ton of restaurants and stores have freebies and deals for educators and support staff.
It happens annually during the first week of May. For 2026, that’s May 4 to 8 (it’s a Monday through Friday, always).
So, to help teachers get all the savings, we put together this Teacher Appreciation Week Freebies And Deals list.
We only included national or large regional chains on the list. Your local establishments may be doing something too, but if we included all of those, this list would have gotten really long.
Cinco de Mayo almost always falls during Teacher Appreciation Week. Since those deals are for the public, not solely for educations, we don’t include them here. Instead, they’re on our list of Cinco De Mayo freebies and deals.

Teachers can score happy hour deals from May 4 to 8, including $4 drinks and $6 food from 3 pm to 6 pm. This excludes North Carolina. In South Carolina, hours are 4 pm to 6 pm. p.m.

Enter the fast food restaurant’s sweepstakes here for a chance to win free food and merch for your school staff. You have until April 24 to enter and everyone who enters will get a coupon for 10% off in their email on April 27.
Chick-fil-A
As a company, Chick-fil-A does celebrate Teacher Appreciation Day, but the offers are decided by the individual franchises.

Teachers get 20% off with a valid ID from May 4 to 8.
