I spend a lot of time on Pinterest. I wouldn’t say it’s an unhealthy amount of time, but it’s definitely quite a bit. I just love finding new recipes and craft ideas.

I stumbled over tater tot waffles, mentioned it to Pete, and next thing I knew, he was coming home from the grocery store with a bag of tater tots. We made a few of these before perfecting the recipe, but now that we did, we’re addicted. These have become our favorite weekend morning treat.

How To Make Tater Tot Waffles:

Defrost the tater tots.

We leave them in a bowl for about ten minutes while the waffle maker is heating up. Defrosting the tater tots first helps them to really crisp up in the waffle maker. That bit of crunch really makes these delicious.

Place the tater tots directly on the waffle maker. Make sure the edges of the tater tots are touching.

Cook like a traditional waffle, about three minutes.

We served ours under a fried egg, but you can smother them in ketchup, season with a pinch of salt and pepper, lather it in syrup … whatever you can dream up.
