National Popcorn Day is a huge deal for movie theaters. As you would expect, I guess. Watching a movie on the big screen and chomping on popcorn go hand in hand.
So of course, on National Popcorn Day, a bunch of movie theaters and popcorn shops around the country are offering special deals on popcorn.
We collected them all and put them in our full list of deals below.
Now, quick note. We only included national theaters or ones with large regional chains in the United States. Your local popcorn shop may be having a deal to celebrate (ours is, actually) but if we included every local offer, this list would get too long.

All of these deals are happening on January 19th only unless otherwise noted.
AMC Theaters
AMC Theaters will be selling the 2026 AMC Popcorn Pass from January 16 to 19. You get your first large popcorn for free, then 50% off refills for the rest of the year.
B&B Theaters
Backstage Pass Members can get a free small popcorn with a ticket purchase. Or, upgrade to a larger size for a “minimal upcharge.” Note: The announcement doesn’t say how much the upcharge is.
Cinemark Theatres
Bring in your own bucket and get it filled with for only $5 on January 18 and 19. Anything that can hold popcorn is considered a bucket for this promotion.
Cinemark has teamed up with Lowes Hardware too, so you can fill one of those up (and those 5 gallon buckets hold 640 oz. of popcorn!).
Doc Popcorn
Get a free 12 oz. cup of Better Butter popcorn during a two-hour window.
Of course, the Facebook announcement doesn’t state when that two-hour window is, so you’re guess is as good as mine.
Emagine Theaters
Get any size popcorn for $5, all day long.
Plus, you’ll get a “Pull Tab” card where you can win prizes that are redeemable from January 20 to February 28.
EVO Cinemas
Elevate Rewards members can get a free popcorn with the purchase of a movie ticket.
Harkins Theatres
Get 50% off all popcorn.
Plus, if you’re a Harkins Awards member and you stop by, you’ll also get a free small popcorn in February.
Marcus Theatres
You can get a free large popcorn when you see a movie.
You’ll also get a scratch off ticket that can win you extra concessions prizes.
Movie Taverns
You can get a free large popcorn when you see a movie.
NCG Cinemas
NCG Neighborhood rewards members get a free 46 oz. popcorn.
