I’ve mentioned our community pot lucks before. But, in case you’re new here, we have them twice a month and I usually bring a fun treat (and then feature it here). This past one, though, someone brought Christmas Rice Krispies Treats.
I was so impressed with them, that I had to take a photo and turn them into a post.
Yes, I’m easily impressed.

Christmas Rice Krispies Treats Ingredients:
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 5 1/2 cups mini marshmallows
- 6 cups Rice Krispies Holiday Colors breakfast cereal
How To Make Christmas Rice Krispies Treats:
Melt the butter in a large saucepan.
Add the marshmallows.
Stir, constantly, until the marshmallows are melted.
Add the Rice Krispies cereal, one cup at a time, to the melted marshmallows.
I suggest picking up the Christmas Rice Krispies cereal because it’s mostly white but there are red and green Rice Krispies throughout. They look really festive without actually being any extra work for you.
Put the mixture into a parchment paper-lined 13×9 pan. Flatten the mixture down until it’s even.
Honestly, it’s easiest if you put a piece of wax paper or parchment paper on top and then push down.
Let the treats cool completely.
Cut them into squares.
