Everything is getting so expensive lately, and that includes bath and body products. Even with coupons and cash back, those prices are more than I want them to be.
But, that doesn’t mean you have to skip your bathroom indulgences. It just means that maybe you’re thinking about DIYing some of them.
And if you are, you’ve come to the right place. We put together this list of homemade bath products to help you make your own products at home.

All of these homemade bath products would be great for when you want a spa day but don’t want to leave your house. For more tips, check out our post on how to have an at-home spa day.
Homemade Bath Products

DIY Shower Steamers
If you’re coming down with a cold and want an easy way to clear your sinuses, definitely make these DIY Shower Steamers.
The tablets sit on the floor of your shower. As you shower, the water dissolves the shower steamers and they release an essential oil blend into the steam, basically like a bath bomb for your shower.

Homemade Body Wash
If you’re out of body wash, you can easily make your own from bar soap.
It takes a little bit of elbow grease to grate the bar of soap, but after that, the process is so easy. You can add a dollop of coconut oil to give your skin a smooth feeling.

Homemade Bubble Bath
If you have a bottle of body wash and an egg (yes, an actual egg), you can make your own bubble bath.
This bubble bath bubbles just as much as a store-bought version and it’s so easy to make on a whim when you feel like soaking in the tub. Once you make it, you may never buy it from the store again.

Homemade Sugar Scrub
Sometimes our hands need a little extra love to moisturize them. That’s where this homemade sugar scrub comes in.
This version is made with sugar, of course, but you could make it with salt too. If you wanted, you could add food coloring to match your scent (red and blue to make purple for lavender essential oil, green for mint essential oil, etc.).
These would be perfect for wedding or baby shower favors too, if you want something homemade for those events.
