Pete loves pizza. I think he would probably eat it every single day if he could. We can’t get great pizza down here in North Carolina (not compared to New York pizza, anyway), so we have to improvise. Pete is always working to perfect his pizza dough recipe. The other day, I decided to try 2 Ingredient Dough Pizza.
Now, if you’ve been around here a while, you know I’m obsessed with 2 Ingredient Dough. I make it weekly, most often for bagels. I have a ton of easy 2 Ingredient Dough recipes.
Recently, I decided to try it as a pizza dough.
The dough itself tastes more like a sourdough, so you do have to add a few pinches of salt and herbs to the dough to cut the tartness.
With all the toppings you put on top of the pizza, the sourdough taste isn’t that noticeable.
This is also a quick version of pizza. It’s one you can throw together easily on a weeknight. There’s no kneading, no waiting for the dough to rise, none of that. So you can definitely make this as soon as you get hungry for pizza and this 2 Ingredient Dough Pizza will be ready quicker than you could get delivery.
2 Ingredient Dough Pizza Recipe
This isn’t a recipe for 2 Ingredient Dough, but rather, a recipe using 2 Ingredient Dough. We’ll go over the dough quick below, but for more depth about it, check out our full 2 Ingredient Dough recipe post.

How To Make 2 Ingredient Dough Pizza:
Pre-heat the oven to 350 F.
Make your 2 Ingredient Dough.
You can get the full recipe here, but the quick recipe (in case you don’t feel like clicking the link): Mix together the non-fat Greek yogurt and self-rising flour to form a ball.
Add in your oregano, garlic powder, and salt to a bowl with the 2 Ingredient Dough ingredients.
Shape the dough into a ball while it’s in the bowl. On a floured surface, kneed the ball, turn it a quarter turn, then need it again.
Use a rolling pin to roll your dough into a circle that’s about 1/4 inch thick.
If you’re having trouble with this, check out our tips section below.
Move your dough onto a pre-heated pizza stone.
If you don’t have a pizza stone, you can put it on a cookie sheet that’s topped with a silicone baking mat.
Bake the dough about 20 minutes, until it starts to get golden brown.
While the dough is cooking, chop your toppings.
Remove the dough from the oven and spread the olive oil over the center.
Top with the marinara sauce.
Then, top with cheese and toppings.
Put it back into the oven until your cheese is melted, about 10 to 15 minutes.
Let the 2 Ingredient Dough pizza sit for a minute or two before cutting and serving.
Tips For Rolling Out The 2 Ingredient Dough Pizza Crust
When my mom made 2 Ingredient Dough Pizza for the first time, she had a little trouble rolling the pizza dough out and called me to rescue her. So, I figured it might help you if I gave you some pointers.
Your dough may be pretty sticky. if you’re wondering, ” Why is my 2 ingredient dough so sticky?” blame the yogurt. Different brands of Greek yogurt are more watery than others, and that extra water could make your dough sticky.
If you’re rolling the dough into a ball in the bowl and it’s not just not coming together, add another 1/4 cup of self-rising flour to the dough.
Once you have the ball formed, cover the entire outside in a light coat of self-rising flour.
Flour the counter and put the dough ball on the counter.
Start to flatten it with your hands. Flip the dough over and flatten it a little more.
Put cornmeal on the surface of a pizza peel. If you don’t have a pizza peel, a wooden serving tray, or even a plastic cutting board, would work.
Move the dough to the pizza peel. Use a floured rolling pin to roll the dough into a circle.
It’s a lot easier to start at one side, turn it a quarter turn and roll some more, then alternate back and forth until you get an even circle.
Roll slowly. Don’t try to rush and stretch the dough.
The cornmeal will make it very easy to slide the dough from the pizza peel onto a pizza stone.
If you don’t have a pizza stone, you can bake the 2 Ingredient Dough pizza on a cookie sheet. When you’re rolling out the pizza dough, just keep in mind that you don’t want it to be wider than your cookie sheet. And you don’t want it to be exactly as wide as your cookie sheet either. The pizza dough needs a little room to expand as it bakes.
2 Ingredient Dough Pizza: Frequently Asked Questions
Wrap slices of 2 Ingredient Dough individually in foil, then store it in the fridge for four days (up to a week is fine).
We always reheat 2 Ingredient Dough Pizza in the oven. Just turn your oven on to 350 F, put the pizza on the pizza stone, and heat for about 10 minutes until the cheese starts to get melty.
If you have an air fryer, you can reheat 2 Ingredient Dough in the air fryer at 370 F for about 4 minutes.
This 2 ingredient pizza dough will not freeze well. When it defrosts, it will lose its elasticity and won’t be able to be formed into a pizza dough.
You can bake the crust and stop the recipe there, wait for it to cool, then wrap the crust in foil and put it in a freezer safe bag. It can stay that way for up to eight months, although it’s best if you use it within two months.
We originally made this as a Weight Watchers recipe because 2 Ingredient Dough is a really popular Weight Watchers recipe.
We don’t follow Weight Watchers (or any diet plan here), but I still make 2 Ingredient Dough pizza all the time because of how tasty and easy it is.
If you’re thinking about starting WW, check out our Tips For Getting Started With Weight Watchers.
Now, back to the recipe.
The entire 2 Ingredient Dough Pizza is 16 Weight Watchers Freestyle points. If you cut it into eight slices like a regular pie, that’s just 2 points per slice.
The quick breakdown: The self-rising flour if 12 points for a cup, the marinara sauce is 3 points, and the cheese is 1 point. Everything else (including the yogurt as long as you choose non-fat Greek yogurt) is 0 points.
If you’re using this as just a Weight Watchers Pizza Dough, it is only 12 points per pizza dough ball.
That’s great. You get all the taste of pizza without dealing with all the points that usually come with it.
If you choose toppings that are vegetables, like spinach and tomato, those are ZeroPoint Foods on the WW Freestyle plan too.
Before you add the 2 Ingredient Dough Pizza to your day, be sure to calculate the points on your current Weight Watchers plan. Points vary per plan, and there are a lot of options now, so you’ll want to double check before eating an extra slice of pizza.
Two ingredient dough can be refrigerated, but it is best used fresh. If you made the dough, then need to run out, you can cover it and keep it in the fridge for a couple hours, but it should definitely be used as soon as possible (and within 24 hours of making it).
