Kmart: My Mom’s Shopping Trip (Saved 100%)

Kmart TripMy mom had free money to Kmart and Sears that was expiring. She had 3,000 surprise points ($3)  for anything and 5,000 points ($5) for shoes. I wasn’t sure what she would be able to get with that $5 for shoes, especially because it wasn’t valid on clearance items.

I checked out Kmart’s website and found out flip flops were $2.99. Great. She could get a pair. But, when I added a pair to her cart, it let me know that you could buy one paid and get a second for 50%. Great. She could get two pairs. She also had a 15% off shoes coupon, which I used just because I wanted to (not because I needed to. Her shoe total was under $5 and I couldn’t get a rebate on it).

The Nature Valley bars were on sale for $2.50 and the cat food was $.50, so she got that too. That was her $3.

So everything in the photo was free. Pretty good.

She got …

$2.99 — Flip flops
$1.49 — Flip flops (BOGO50%)
$2.50 — Nature Valley bars
$.50 — Friskies cat food
Total: $7.48

Coupon:
$.67 — 15% off shoes

Total after coupon: $6.81

She used 3,000 surprise points and then 3,810 points for her flip flops.

Complete free.

Awesome! Did she order this online, with shipping fees or did she pick it up? Seems alot of stuff at my local Kmart are out of stock

Yup, ordered online with in store pick up (so it was free). Kmart had a glitch on the site, recently, where almost everything was coming up as “Temporarily Unavailable.” The team that works on the site removed all those products (it was a ton), and then she searched and ordered.
