Halloween DIY: Candy Sticks

halloween diy-4We live in an apartment complex, but we rarely get trick or treaters. It might have something to do with the fact that we live up four flights of stairs. I wouldn’t want to come all the way up here for one piece of candy either. So I decided to put together Halloween Candy Sticks. They’re so simple. They’re a few pieces of candy glued to a stick. They’re so easy to grab when trick or treaters come to the door, and easy for trick or treaters to grab themselves if you’re not home. And, if that’s the case, they will take one stick if you say take one (as opposed to when there’s a candy bowl and kids take one handful).

I put these together in a couple minutes. The longest thing was waiting for them to dry.

Attach a piece of candy to the glue. Wait for it to dry.

This is seriously so simple and you can do it ahead of time so you’re reading for Halloween.

What an adorable idea! We have a ton of kids in our neighborhood, but I’m due the day after Halloween. I’m nervous about buying candy and then not being here to hand it out. (I’d have to eat the leftovers by default, then….)

What a fun little project. We only get a few trick-or-treaters too and I always feel like they should be rewarded with something a little bigger.
