Pumpkins are the quintessential Halloween decoration. You can carve pumpkins, sure, but those only last for a little while before you have to toss them. Instead, you should make a few of the projects from our list of fun and easy Halloween pumpkin crafts that you can display year after year.

Yes, of course, you can still carve pumpkins. And then you can use the pumpkin remains to make something off our list of pumpkin recipes.

But for this list, I focused on easy pumpkin crafts without any real pumpkins.

These simple ghost crafts aren’t the only easy Halloween crafts on Drugstore Divas. We also have a great list of Halloween Toilet Paper Roll Crafts. Those are all really cute and a really great way to upcycle your toilet paper tubes.

This list is filled with all of the fun pumpkin crafts already on Drugstore Divas. As we add more, we will update this post.

So, be sure to save this post (bookmark it, pin it, or however you save posts) to come back at a later date to see what fun ideas we’ve added.

Side note: The pumpkins above are ones I made from a craft kit from Annie’s Kit Clubs last year. That kit isn’t available anymore, but you can purchase a similar felted pumpkin kit here.

DIY Wine Cork Stamped Pumpkin T-Shirt

A homemade stencil, a little paint, and a t-shirt are all you need to make this DIY Wine Cork Stamped Pumpkin T-Shirt. It’s the perfect easy t-shirt to wear all Halloween or fall season long.

It only takes a little time to make it (not counting the time the paint needs to dry).

A piece of scrapbook paper (or card stock paper, if that’s all you have) and a piece of twine transform into this adorable DIY Paper Pumpkin craft.

It’s a really simple pumpkin craft that’s easy for kids. If you’re making it with young kids, you’ll want to cut the paper and punch holes in it for them, but your kids can string together the pumpkins. If you’re making this with older kids, they can do all the steps on their own (just supervise, of course).

The post details an easy way of stringing them together, but let your kids do whatever they want. You’ll love how they come out. You can keep the paper pumpkins forever (or just toss them at the end of the season and make more next year).

If you’re looking for a fun way to upcycle your wine corks, this DIY Wine Cork Pumpkin is the way to do it. You’ll need 25 wine corks to make the full pumpkin shape. If you don’t drink that much wine, you can actually purchase wine corks for crafting online.

This entire craft takes under a half hour to make, and that includes waiting for the hot glue and paint to dry, so it’s the perfect fall afternoon project.

DIY Halloween Pumpkin Drinking Glasses.

DIY Halloween Pumpkin Drinking Glasses

A little duct tape goes a long way when you use it to make these DIY Halloween Pumpkin Drinking Glasses. Even better, the tape pulls right off when you want your plain glasses back.

They’re a great idea for a Halloween movie watch party. Pop some popcorn, dress up your orange drinks, and then easily pull the tape off when you’re done.

Be sure to check out our At Home Movie Night post for more ideas on how to make your night lots of fun.

DIY Mix and Match Wooden Pumpkin Face Decoration.

DIY Mix and Match Wooden Pumpkin Face Decoration

Turn a piece of 2×2 wood into a fun DIY Mix and Match Wooden Pumpkin Face Decoration.

You do need a bit of experience with some tools in order to cut the piece of wood down to size. But, worst case scenario: a hardware store should be able to cut it for you when you are buying the wood. So just make sure you bring the measurements with you, and you can get it cut there.

Then, that just leaves you with painting. Follow the directions in the post on how to paint it to make over 250 different combinations. You’ll have so much fun changing the face all Halloween season long.

DIY Upcycle Tin Can Pumpkins.

DIY Upcycle Tin Can Pumpkins

These DIY Upcycle Tin Can Pumpkins are a really cute pumpkin craft that’s made from trash. Well, recycles. But, they’re made from empty cans from canned goods or soup and a stick you can find in the backyard.

The best part about these upcycle pumpkins is how sturdy they are. You can display them inside, but if you want to display them outdoors, ours stay in place all season long — and that includes them not budging during hurricane winds (which we have to deal with this time of year).

Save your empty toilet paper rolls and upcycle them into this cute DIY Toilet Paper Roll Pumpkin.

If you don’t feel comfortable reusing toilet paper rolls because they live in your bathroom, you can either use paper towel rolls (and stick with the upcycling aspect of this Halloween craft) or you can actually purchase craft rolls online.

Turn 4×4’s into the perfect outdoor decoration when you follow our tutorial for these DIY Wooden Pumpkins. This one has been a BIG hit since we made them.

Our trio of pumpkins are all different sizes, just to be more visually appealing on our porch. You could make a whole pumpkin patch of wooden pumpkins of various sizes and display them all over.

Easy Halloween Foam Pumpkin Decorations.

Easy Halloween Foam Pumpkin Decorations

These foam pumpkins originally came from a kit, but they’re super easy to make even without the kit, which is good because the kit is no longer available.

All you need is some foam, some scissors, and a little bit of patience because you’ll need to individually cut out all the pieces for the pumpkins and their faces. But all the effort is worth it because you’ll end up with incredibly adorable decorations.

If you don’t have foam, you can make a felt pumpkin instead. Just follow the same technique. I would suggest using fabric scissors rather than regular scissors, though. You’ll end up with less fray that way.

Purchase Halloween Pumpkin Craft Kits Online:

The tutorials in this post do require you to go to the craft store for some supplies. If you’re looking for easy project, a craft kit, like the Paper Plate Pumpkin Craft kit above, that comes with all the craft supplies you need is probably more your speed.

We found some cute craft kits online at the following stores:

Be sure to double check a store’s minimum cart total to qualify for free shipping. Also, consider instore or curbside pickup to avoid shipping charges.

I can't carve a pumpkin. The smell legit makes me feel sick (which is kind of a bummer!) I love that painting a pumpkin is a trend but I want to do the melted crayon pumpkin. It's so cool looking! My inner child finds the idea of melting crayons super satisfying!
