8 Reasons My 8-Year-Old BFF Needs A Fidget Spinner

8 Reasons My 8-Year-Old BFF Needs A Fidget Spinner

This 8 Reasons My 8-Year-Old BFF Needs A Fidget Spinner post is sponsored by Fanatics.

Wondering why kids need fidget spinners? Find out 8 reasons why my 8-year-old BFF needs a fidget spinner on www.drugstoredivas.net.
Pete and I live in a kid-free zone, so although I know fidget spinners are all the rage still, I really don’t know why. I had a friend’s kid show me one a few weeks ago, but I still didn’t get it. I guess that’s how my mom felt when I had to have a zillion trolls or slap bracelets, or why people needed to rock a yellow LIVESTRONG bracelet. These are just things that get popular overnight and the need becomes real.

So I did what any childless person would do. I asked my 8-year-old BFF Alex why he needs a fidget spinner.

8 Reasons My 8-Year-Old BFF Needs A Fidget Spinner

  1. They are fun.
  2. You can spin them.
  3. Different colors (glow in the dark)
  4. Battle with them.
  5. Spins really fast.
  6. Spin tricks on the thumb.
  7. So cool!
  8. Everyone in school has them for when you are bored.

Fun things that you can spin, battle with, and use when you’re bored sound exactly like something could use.

Alex’s mom, Michelle, told me that Alex actually has about six of these. They’re kind of like Pokemon, I guess, where you gotta catch ’em all.

Recall: Chuck E Cheese Toys

Recall: Chuck E Cheese Toys

I went to Chuck E Cheese once when I was a kid, so I was told, and I went once a few years ago with my then-boyfriend and my 14-year-old “little sister.” Yeah, I dragged them. So what? I wanted to, needed an excuse, and they were agreeable.

Yes, I’ll admit it. I wanted to go and play video games and didn’t feel like driving to Dave and Busters.

I know Chuck E Cheese is for kids, and maybe you have kids who have gone recently, or maybe you’ve dragged teenagers, but if you’ve gotten toys as prizes, you wanna be careful.

Why? Because there’s a recall on two of the toys. This morning, I got this in my email:

Chuck E. Cheese’s* is voluntarily recalling its Light-Up Ring and Star Glasses. The ring comes in blue, green, purple, yellow, and pink colors, and the glasses come in a red color. The Light-Up Ring was either sold as part of a promotional treasure chest cup from August 2009 through June 25, 2010 or distributed, at no cost, during several Parent-Teacher Association conventions in April 2009, July 2009 and March 2010 through May 2010. The Star Glasses were distributed as part of our Birthday Star package beginning April 2010 through August 2010.

If crushed or pulled apart, the plastic casing on these products may break and possibly expose the batteries, which could pose an ingestion hazard to children.

If you have one of these products, please bring it to your local Chuck E. Cheese’s, where you may choose to receive: for the Light-Up Ring either a refund of $1.00 plus 4 Chuck E. Cheese’s tokens or a Soccer promo-cup plus 4 Chuck E. Cheese’s tokens, or for the Star Glasses either a refund of $4.99 or our Flashing Hands prize product.

If you have any questions regarding this recall, contact us at (888) 778-7193 between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. CST Monday through Friday or email us at guestrelations@cecentertainment.com. A copy of this notice is also available on our web site at: www.chuckecheese.com.

Target: Toy Clearance

Target: Toy Clearance

I needed to get my best friends daughter a gift for her 4th birthday. I don’t know anything about kids and I have never even met her! She lives in Florida, I live in Pennsylvania. You get the picture.

Anyways, I went to Target and was so happily surprised. I know she likes Dora and was so happy to find great deals. Target has its toys on clearance. Up to 75% off. I was able to get the Dora doll, the cute little outfit, and some stereo and music accessory for just $9.98 total. Considering the doll was regularly priced at $19.99 that was a great deal.

There were two entire aisles of clearanced toys at my store. Check out your Target and see what great deals you can find.
