Harris Teeter: My Shopping Trip (3 Bags Of Coffee For 2 Cents)

Harris Teeter: My Shopping Trip (3 Bags Of Coffee For 2 Cents)

coffeeThis is my trip from yesterday. The sale has ended, unfortunately, but I was so excited about it that I absolutely had to post my trip.

Community Coffee is usually $7.35 a bag. With the sale ending yesterday, they were BOGO (so ringing up half price). There was a $4/2 bags of Community Coffee printable. There was also one for $1.50/1 bag of Community Coffee. I had these same coupons as eVIC coupons, making for an amazing deal.

I got …

$3.68 — Community Coffee bag
$3.67 — Community Coffee bag
$3.67 — Community Coffee bag
Total: $11.02

Coupons:
$4/2 Community Coffee printable
$1.50/1 Community Coffee printable
$4/2 Community Coffee eVIC
$1.50/1 Community Coffee eVIC
Total: $11

Total after coupons: $.02

Yup, two cents for three bags of coffee. The original price is $22.05. Please, find me the person who can afford to pay retail for everything.

JCPenney: My Shopping Trip (Saved 100%)

JCPenney: My Shopping Trip (Saved 100%)

free earringsI had a wedding to go to this weekend (which I may have mentioned a time or two on my wedding blog‘s social media pages. I had a dress that I was going to wear, but I actually was walking the other day and fell. Hard. And my souvenir from that trip was a huge bruise on my shin. So my cute short dress I was going to wear was staying in the closet and my also cute long dress is what I was planning on wearing.

I didn’t have cute earrings to match the long dress, though, so I went to JCPenney to pick some up. Free of course.

I got a $10 off $10 purchase coupon in the mail recently. The earrings were $15, but were on sale for $10. After the coupon, they were completely free. Gotta love that. Plus, the set I picked is actually three pairs, so I can wear the white ones with my blue dress and the blue and purple ones at any time. That’s my favorite kind of shopping.

Funny aside, though. I tried on both dresses on the morning of the wedding and my friend convinced me to wear the short dress. Since I bought these new earrings, though, I ended up wearing them anyway.

Did you get this coupon? What did you spend it on?

Kmart: My Mom’s Shopping Trip (Saved 100%)

Kmart: My Mom’s Shopping Trip (Saved 100%)

Kmart TripMy mom had free money to Kmart and Sears that was expiring. She had 3,000 surprise points ($3)  for anything and 5,000 points ($5) for shoes. I wasn’t sure what she would be able to get with that $5 for shoes, especially because it wasn’t valid on clearance items.

I checked out Kmart’s website and found out flip flops were $2.99. Great. She could get a pair. But, when I added a pair to her cart, it let me know that you could buy one paid and get a second for 50%. Great. She could get two pairs. She also had a 15% off shoes coupon, which I used just because I wanted to (not because I needed to. Her shoe total was under $5 and I couldn’t get a rebate on it).

The Nature Valley bars were on sale for $2.50 and the cat food was $.50, so she got that too. That was her $3.

So everything in the photo was free. Pretty good.

She got …

$2.99 — Flip flops
$1.49 — Flip flops (BOGO50%)
$2.50 — Nature Valley bars
$.50 — Friskies cat food
Total: $7.48

Coupon:
$.67 — 15% off shoes

Total after coupon: $6.81

She used 3,000 surprise points and then 3,810 points for her flip flops.

Complete free.

Chick-fil-A: Our Drinking Trip

Chick-fil-A: Our Drinking Trip

chickfila-coffeeWe were out running errands today and added Chick-fil-A to the list. If you remember, today was the last day to get free coffee.

Pete and I went there just for that.

I got an iced coffee and he ordered a hot one. They just ran out of hot coffee and it would take another eight minutes to brew a pot. The cashier asked if we wanted to wait or if he just wanted to switch. He did switch, and then we sat and drank our coffee and just hung out.

It’s times like this when I remember people saying you need to date your spouse. It’s so important … and great when it’s a free date.
