You can get a $10 gift card to Subway for only $5.

You can sign up here and get a $10 credit, but, unfortunately, you can't use the credit to make the purchase.

All month, footlongs were $5, so this deal would make it bogo, which is awesome for sandwiches. I'm not sure what promo Subway will have next month, but this is such a healthy alternative, you should definitely take advantage of it.

Small Business Saturday: Free Gift Card From FedEx

I had been hearing rumors about this for a while, but I didn't know how true it was.

I finally got the official press release emailed to me, so now I feel confident that I can tell you about it.

Saturday, November 26 is Small Business Saturday, which encourages you to shop at local, independently owned merchants.

I'm a huge supporter of local shops. I actually just went to a small local Japanese market yesterday and dropped a chunk of change. And when Pete and I go out to eat, it's always to small local restaurants [[unless there is a freebie involved]]. We support our mom and pop shops because if we don't, they won't continue to be there.

In order to encourage you to support small businesses, FedEx is giving away $1 million -- in increments of $25 gift cards -- on the FedEx Facebook page, starting at 1 pm ET tomorrow [[November 1]]. Honestly, it'll probably start and end tomorrow, knowing the way these things go.

The gift cards are to be used at small businesses on Small Business Saturday. And, well, I'm going to encourage you to shop at small businesses all holiday season. Yes, we can find cheaper deals at large chains, but keep your local businesses in mind when you're shopping for specialty items ... or if you just wanna foster some competition between the man and the little guy.

I hate buying tissues. I will be stocking up at Weis for sure this week. I wasn't really sure this deal would work but it worked for me twice today. Puffs tissue cubes [[with lotion and with Vicks included]] are on sale 10 for $10.

There is a catalina that you get $5 for a future purchase if you buy 5 selected items. Well Puffs are part of that. I used the $1 off 6 coupon from the P&G insert. I bought 6 boxes and paid $5 out of pocket and got $5 back for a future purchase.

I was able to use that $5 to buy another 5 boxes and it printed again. Even without the coupon, you can buy 5 for $5 and get the $5 catalina.

Sunday Coupon Preview [[10/30/2011]]

According to Sunday Coupon Preview, there will be three inserts in the paper this week.

There will be a Smart Source, a Red Plum, and a P&G.

For some reason, there's always some kind of weather advisory on P&G weeks. There was Hurrican Irene, now there's this freak storm dropping trees everywhere. I know the P&G had a $2 off any Tide coupon, making it a moneymaker at Walmart. Now hopefully I'm able to get out of the house.

There's always printables at coupons.com and Red Plum. But those are never as good as picking up the actual paper itself.

Bare Escentuals: I Went Shopping

I don't know if you can call it shopping when it's really just an in and out trip to pick up a freebie.

But, either way, I went to Bare Escentuals.

I went in, armed with this emailed coupon, which is for a free full-sized bareMinerals big + bright eyeliner in either midnight [[which is blue]] and granite [[which is gray]].

I waited while this teenage girl got her makeup done and her three friends ooh-ed and ahh-ed about how pretty she was.

She walked out buying nothing.

Then I had to wait while some lady asked all about changing her color pallets. And then, finally, it was time for my free eyeliner, which the cashier handed over so nicely without even taking my coupon.

And then I walked out ... realizing I too walked out buying nothing.

The coupon is good until November 1, so you have a little time to pick up your free makeup.

L'Oreal: I Won

We've been posting every day about the L'Oreal mascara instant win game.

I'm not gonna lie; I gave up hope. And then there was some chatter on Drugstore Divas' Facebook page that made me think I should give it one more try.

So I did.

I stayed up late and played the Never Fake It Again instant win game [[going on until November 9]] -- at 12:01 am -- and won.

So then I read the fine print and found out this resets daily at midnight and is limited to 1,000 daily winners. So, it makes sense then that you have a better chance at being one of those 1k earlier in the day than later.

I think they give out the 1k to the first 1k players and then everyone else is SOL until the next day. I'm not sure, but that's what I've figured out after playing all these days.

Safeway And Affiliates: Cheap Grande Starbucks Drinks

Starting October 28 if you have a Starbucks inside your Safeway affiliate store you can score a cheap drink.

Stop by after 2pm, pick your drink choice [[pumpkin spice latte, chai tea latte, or salted caramel mocha]] and pay only $2. That's a big discount from the usual $5.

This offer happened last May and I would plan my shopping trips for the afternoon. Those were some yummy calories.

Bacardi: I Won

I feel like the luckiest person right now.

First, I won The Popcorn Factory's sweepstakes.

Then, Pete placed in the top three of the Healthy Food Fight recipe contest.

And now, I won an Oakheart stein from Bacardi. You can enter to win every week by typing in a three word toast. And if you are one of the first 5k that week, you win a stein.

All I wanted to do was print 20 pictures from my Facebook account because they were free. I wanted to select 20 from my grandma's birthday party in Vegas so I could mail them to her. You were hoarding the only instant print kiosk within driving distance on my lunch break.

You, however, wanted to be a complete selfish inconsiderate [[word I can't say because this is a family friendly blog]]. You told me you were going to be a while because you were making a CD of pictures from a wedding -- which one] was something I didn't care about and two] did not give me a time frame of any sort.

Instead of actually making that CD, which honestly is completely irrelevant in this world of Flikr and email, you decided to answer your phone, scream at the person who was presumably losing signal, and then, finally, go on and on about how you were at CVS making a CD of pictures from a wedding ... instead of actually making a CD of pictures from a wedding.

Kohl's: $10 In The Mail Equals FREE Clothes

I tell people about couponing all the time because, well, that's my job. I have to talk about it. I have to get people excited about it. And, in the beginning, no one cares about free toothpaste. The question I get asked a lot, more than you would think is: Can I get free clothes?

My answer is always yes, but you have to be a little creative.

My mom, she's actually going to get free clothes this week.

See, she got her Kohl's ad in the mail, and inside, there was a green BONUS coupon. It's good for $10 off everything in the store. And it's good from tomorrow [[October 30]] to Tuesday [[November 8]].

There aren't any exclusions, and Kohl's is so incredibly good about its coupons. If you have a $5 one, but you wanna buy something for $4.99, no problem. Coupon scans. So if my mom finds a nice top on sale for $9.99, guess what? It's free. Free clothes. Love it.

So the answer is yes, you can get free clothes. You just have to wait for the right coupon, which is pretty much the answer for everything.
