Sunday Coupon Preview [[07/31/2011]]

Holy inserts Batman.

According to Sunday Coupon Preview, there will be three inserts today. Yes, three.

There's gonna be a Smart Source [[with that fantastic $3 Splenda coupon that I absolutely need]], a Red Plum, and a P&G in today's paper.

This should definitely keep our coupon hunger at bay this week, but, if you need more, you can always print coupons from this link and this link.

Sunday Speak: When Will You Pay Full Price?

I got a Pandora bracelet for my birthday in November. From then until Christmas, I didn't have any new beads on it. I got three Pandora beads for Christmas, and those were the only ones I had for a while.

I decided that I would fill my bracelet up with fake beads and swap them off when I got new ones. Made sense to me.

My work friend gave me a fake one that she had gotten for someone else, and I put it on my bracelet. After a few days, the silver coating started to fade. Then it rusted and turned a pink hue. But I had other pink beads [[pink on purpose]], so I figured it was okay.

I went into the Pandora store last week to look at beads, and the clerk looked at my rusted bead and asked if it was Pandora. I told her no, but the others were, and she said, "That's ruining your outfit."

I finally realized she -- and everyone else -- was right. And I had to take it off. No more fake beads for me. So, it'll be a little [[okay, a LOT]] more expensive for me to fill up my Pandora bracelet now, but it's gonna be worth it because now it won't be ruining my outfit.

So, my Sunday Speak question is this: When will you pay full price? When will you not skimp?

Farmer John: Hot Dogs Coupon Alert

UPDATE: No more prints available but you can find  $1 off coupon on today's [[7/31]] Redplum Insert.

I told you Food 4 Less is having a Farmer John Summer Sale this week [[7/27-8/2]]. And tonight I was reading twitter and found out there is a $2 Farmer John Hot Dogs printable coupon. You can print it [[here]]

At Food 4 Less, the wieners are on sale for $0.98 and the beef franks $2.50. Depending on your choice you are looking at FREE-$0.50 each.

If you don't have a Food 4 Less around you; Charlene from My Frugal Adventures mentioned that they are $2.08 at Target and $1.68 at Walmart. Either way you are looking at cheap to free franks after coupon.

Vons: I Went Shopping

Vons forces me to do two transactions because they only double one like coupon per transaction. I had so much fun and now I have pasta sauce for the rest of the year. This weeks deals are so good; I must make multiple trips.

On this trip I got:

Transaction #1

4 Classico Pasta Sauce @ $1.49 each with in-ad coupon
used $1/2 from 5/15 SS
used BOGO hang tag coupon (cashier deducted full price $3.39)
=$1.57 or $0.39 each
earned $1.00 Catalina wyb 4

Maggi Beef Flavored Pasta Soup Mix $0.99
used $0.25 hang tag coupon
double coupon $0.25
=$0.49

paid $2.05
cost: $1.05 after Catalina

Transaction #2

Same as above but this time cashier deducted $2.29 when she scanned the Classico BOGO hang tag and I added butter to my order which was on sale for $1.99. I did not used the Catalina I earned on transaction #1 because I did not want to risk not getting a second one.

paid $5.14
cost $4.14 after Catalina

I also found a few tearpad coupons and blinkies. Good trip all around!

A&P: Good Deal Alert -- Breyers Ice Cream

I love ice cream during all times of the year, but even more so when it's hot out. And especially when it's cheap.

This week [[ending 08/04]], Breyers is on sale for $2.50 at A&P. There's a $.75/1 coupon here that will double to $1.50.

So now you're only paying $1 for a carton of ice cream. Now come share with me.

Walgreens: I Went Shopping

I went to Walgreens for a few things [[not pictured]] Arizona Ice Tea & 3 Musketeers. We love Arizona Ice Tea and $0.50 per can is a good price and the 3 Musketeers insert coupon expires tomorrow. I did two transactions:

Transaction #1

Irish Spring is my husband's all time favorite body wash. That's why I'm willing to pay for it.

PineCone Research: Looking for Survey Takers

I'm a huge fan of survey sites. I've mentioned this time and time again.

My absolute favorite is PineCone Research, which pays you $3 per survey -- every survey [[there's no waiting]]. It's pretty sweet [[sign up here if you haven't yet]]. They started paying via Paypal, which we all love. We save the trip to the bank to deposit checks.

With Christmas coming, you're gonna want a little extra cash lying around, and survey sites are a great way to add a little cash to your wallet. Sign up doesn't ever last very long, so hurry and sign up now.

What are your favorite survey companies?

Saturday Sample: Just The Basics Facial Cleanser

My shower looks like the graveyard of deals past. There are always free shampoos, body washes, shave gels, and face washes that I accumulated for some form of free.

The shampoos and body wash come and go but the face washes tend to stay longer, mostly because I'm never fond of any of them. And then I just leave them in my shower because I hate throwing things out.

But I finally found a face cleanser that I actually like. CVS' Just the Basics. Yes, it's part of CVS' new store-brand line.

The first time I used it, I totally forgot about it by the afternoon. I touched my face [[even though I know that's definitely a way to invite acne in, but really, who doesn't touch their face all day long?]]. I was so impressed with how soft my skin felt. I started praising good genetics, all the water I had been drinking, the fact that I hadn't had chocolate that morning ... and then I realized, no, it's the new face wash.

It's so soft and gentle, and leaves my skin feeling the same way. It's not an acne wash, but I haven't noticed any breakouts since I started using it.

I'm really particular about what I use on my hands and face -- hence the abandoned, yet nearly full bottles, of face wash in my shower. But this stuff is a product that I actually enjoy and can get behind. So can you.

Bath & Body Works: I Went Shopping

I told myself I was not allowed to get distracted in Bath & Body Works.

I would go in, use my coupon for free lotion, and leave.

I got a little distracted by the hand sanitizers, but I didn't buy any.

I got ...

My free lotion

That's all. Hooray!

Unleashed by PETCO: Check In For A Free Tote

Kashi: Choose Your Sample

I first learned about Kashi through a sample. I think it's a good move, because since I been a loyal costumer.

Right now, if you head over to this link you can request a sample of either: Cinnamon Harvest Cereal or Peanutty Dark Chocolate Granola Bar. I love the Cinnamon Harvest Cereal and have yet to try the Peanutty Dark Chocolate Bar. So, you know what I ordered. Which will you request?

I always hope for samples to come with coupons.

ShopRite: Dollar Days Start Sunday

Awesome. I just checked the ShopRite ad that begins on Sunday [[July 31]] and Dollar Days begins.

The two that I've seen that really interested me are as follows:

Buy 3 Splenda, get $3 back
Splenda is on sale for $4. There's a $3 coupon in the 07/31 SS [[which I NEED more of]].
Your deal:

$12 -- 3 Splenda
$9 -- $3/1 coupon times 3
Final: $3, get $3 back -- so free

Buy 6, get $5 back [[includes Scotties tissues]]

$5.94 -- 5 Scotties tissues at 99 cents each
Final: $5.94, get back $5 -- so 94 cents for all

What did you see that you like?

Albertsons: I Went Shopping

Do you notice something missing? My Catalina.

Last night I went to Albertsons in search for my free Baileys. I was quickly disappointed. They were not on sale as I had anticipated. But my friend told me they are really good so I decided that with the coupon & catalina; it was a good deal. Well, the catalina machine was working but I got none. I was sad but now i have two coffee creamers.  This is how my deal went:

2 Baileys Coffee Creamer @ $2.99 each
used two $1.00 off printable coupon
= $3.98 or $1.99 each

I should call [[1-888-8COUPON]] the catalina people to make sure there is no catalina offer running for this product.

The Cheesecake Factory: National Cheesecake Day [[Today Only]]

When the Cheesecake Factory first opened, I took my little brother down and we picked up three slices. And it was over $20. I was shocked.

That's why I yearn for The Cheesecake Factory's celebration of National Cheesecake Day. Today, you can get a slice of cheesecake for half off.

I'm salivating just thinking of this. So, you know where I'll be.

Coupon Alert: Arby's

It's been years, literally, since I've been to an Arby's. The chain apparently has a new sandwich. But really, new, old, they're all the same to me.

Starting today [[July 29]], when you head over to this link, you can print a coupon for a free small drink and curly fries when you buy and angus cool deli wrap or sandwich. The coupon is good through August 4.

Personally I like Quiznos better, but that's just me.

Albertsons: Updating Their Loyalty Program

Finally, Albertsons is adding a loyalty program to their Preferred Card. I think it was pretty boring but now there is more to look forward. The Preferred Card was only used to get the sale price and sometimes you could upload ecoupons.

Now, you will earn points for your purchases and some products will be tag with bonus points.

I went to Albertsons to get the Baileys deal, which was a total fail but I will tell you about that later. I was welcome by a very nice lady who told me all about the new program and even upgraded my current card. They will mail the new cards in about two weeks.

You will start the program with 500 points. And for every $1 spend you will earn 10 points. When you reach 5,000 points you will earn a $5 reward. I used coupons but I earned points on my total before coupons. The first earning period will run from July 13 to November 30. So it will be quarterly like most loyalty rewards. [[Ralphs, CVS, etc]] Your balance prints at the end of your receipt.

Have you notice the changes at your store?

Free Sample: Depends

I suffer from NBS [[Nervous Bladder Syndrome]]. Never heard of it? That's because I just made it up. But, really, whenever I see a bathroom, I use it. And when I'm on a long car ride, and there's no bathroom in sight, that's when I've gotta go.

Suffer from NBS too?

Get a sample of Depends by heading to this link, and you can just pee your pants instead of waiting for the bathroom -- which is nowhere in sight.

All kidding aside, you actually can get the free sample from that link. And use it in whatever capacity you'd like.

CVS: $3/$15 Coupon Found

I walked into work today and my best work friend [[who is my real friend too -- don't you love when that happens?]] had a surprise for me.

Inside her Weight Watchers Weekly magazine [[given out at the weekly meetings]] there was a $3/$15 coupon for CVS ... which is good until mid-August. The magazine is the July 24 to July 30 issue.

She said there are usually Smart Ones coupons in the back, which she keeps, but as she was flipping though she saw this and gave it to me.

CVS doesn't email me coupons anymore, so it's been forever since I had an x/xx coupon, so I'm totally stoked. If you've got friends who go to Weight Watchers meetings -- or if you do -- this coupon could be in your near future.

Borders: Going Out Of Business

There's a commercial out now, for the Nook or Kindle, that has this lady saying she's going to the bookstore. And the guy in the commercial is all like, "Why are you going to the bookstore? I got it on my electronic reading tablet thing."

And then she starts reading over his shoulder and doesn't get to the bookstore.

Which is why Borders, Borders Express, and Waldenbooks are going the way of the dinosaurs.

I got this email that says everything at that trio of stores is 40% off because they're going out of business. And you can only use your Borders Bucks until July 31.

We're all gonna start missing bookstores soon.

Pier 1: My Boyfriend Went Shopping

On Sunday, my boyfriend and I were in CVS. He picked up a plastic cup and said when it goes on sale, let him know because he needs one.

I brought him into Pier 1 where the plastic cup was on sale for $6.99. But he had the $10 off $10 coupon, so he had to spend $3.01 more. That's where the clearanced ice cream glasses came in [[yes, okay, they're mini martini glasses, but I don't do martinis, I do ice cream]].

His deal looked like this:

$6.99 -- Plastic Cup [[on sale from $8.95]]
$1.68 -- Ice Cream Cup
$1.68 -- Ice Cream Cup
Total: $10.35

He paid 38 cents after tax. And was amazed as my deal finding skills once again [[priceless!]].

And if you are too, you're gonna wanna head over to Vistaprint. Between now and Friday [[July 29]], you can get 140 custom address labels for free [[just pay shipping]].
