CVS: Good Deal Alert -- Garden Clearance Is 75% Off

I don't garden, so I have no need for things like garden gloves or pots. But if you do, you wanna hurry down to CVS.

Right now, CVS has its garden items on clearance for 75% off. Also that cheap are these super cute window clings.

Go check out your seasonal aisle and see what you can find.

Banana Republic: Good Deal Alert -- Extra 25% Off Clearance

I need new clothes.

Yes, it's a need.

And with the sales going on right now, I think I'll get some. Right now, you can get an additional 25% off clearance at Banana Republic when you enter the code BRSALE25.

This is good through midnight today [[June 30]], so let's start shopping.

Swagbucks: Sign Up Now And Earn 80 Bonus Bucks [[Last Day]]

This is a reminder because today is the last day for this offer!

I'm about to order a present. A very expensive present. I can't tell you any details because, well, the gift recipient reads this blog on a semi-regular basis. The gift getting, well, that person knows I don't pay retail for anything. But I'm not sure that the person knows that it's possible to get an item worth big bucks for pennies -- or for free.

But thanks to Swagbucks, that's possible.

Swagbucks is a super search and win site. I use it as a search engine. Instead of typing the URL, I just go to Swagbucks, search, and go that way. Searches have the possibility of winning you Swagbucks, which you can redeem for prizes.

A mere 450 bucks will earn you a $5 Amazon gift card. Spend 1249 and you'll get a $10 gift card to CVS.

Head over to this link to register and earn 30 Swagbucks. If you enter the code JuneBoom when you register between now and June 30, you'll get an extra 50 buck bonus. With 80 bucks, you're well on your way to your first $5 gift card.

And then you can get free gifts like me. I mean, I even got my iTouch for free thanks to Swagbucks. Sign up now.

Stop & Shop: Grand Openings All Over

There's been a Stop & Shop by my house for years. I want to say at least a decade, but I'm not exactly sure about that. But it's been there for over six years. I can be certain about that.

So I was shocked the other day when I saw grand opening signs. I happened to be on the phone with my brother who informed me that all Stop & Shops were having grand openings. I don't know if it was really "all" of them, but I did find it wasn't just mine.

Well, my Stop & Shop -- on 32 Middletown Road in Nanuet, New York -- has a huge truck out front that tells you to take a picture, show your cashier, and you can get 10% off your total purchase.

The truck moves to slightly different locations on different days, but the cashiers are fine with me just showing them an old picture. Actually, when I showed the cashier, he had no clue that it was even out in their parking lot.

Has anyone else seen this around?

The always lovely Charlotte over at Stretching Your Budget found a fantastic deal.

This ends June 30, so you definitely want to hurry and make yours!

In My Mailbox: Tuesday [[06/28]]

There are two things to note about this In My Mailbox post. One] I have no idea where any of it came from and two] the lip gloss came with my address but someone else's name.

Such is life.

I got ...

Jordana lip gloss

Garnier shampoo sample [[I think from Target]]

CVS: I Went Shopping

This is my trip from Sunday. I lost the picture, so I didn't post it, but it's found now, so lucky you get to see what I picked up.

Better late than never, right?

I got ...

$3 -- Two newspapers
$1 -- Pringles on the go
$6.79 -- Brilliant Ph Tampons
$1.99 -- Lady Speed Stick
Total: $12.78

Coupons:
$1 -- Pringles CRT
$1 -- Tampon printable
$1 -- Speed Stick [[Reinventing Beauty]]
Total: $3

Total after coupons: $9.78

I got back $6.79 for the tampons and $1 for the deodorant = $7.79.

Swagbucks: Collector's Bills

I just found a collectible bill on Swagbucks, so that's enough for me to feel like I can tell you about them.

There are five different values, and you'll get a 13 buck bonus if you find all five.

There's a 6, 9, 10, 12 and 17. If and when I find them in searches, I'll post them here so that you can get excited -- and reminded about them. But, here's the deal: so far, I've gotten a Collector's Bill three times. And all three times, it's been the 10. I'll take the 10. Any double digit win is a good win, but c'mon Swagbucks, let me hit the other values so I can win the bonus.

If you're not a member of Swagbucks [[the web's best search and win site -- in my opinion, at least]], sign up here and start searching.

Redbox: Wedneday Summer Fun

This summer, Redbox is helping you get over the struggle of humpday.

Every Wednesday between now and July 27, you can save $.50 on a family-friendly DVD, Blu-ray Disc or video game when you reserve online.

Head over to this link for all the details.

Free Sample: Honey Nut Cheerios

I made something earlier in the week that needed Cheerios. I can't tell you what it is because it's a surprise for someone that reads the blog on a regular basis. So sorry, can't tell you what I needed them for.

I can tell you that reader Ann Marie found a free sample of Honey Nut Cheerios on the day I needed them. Too bad free samples don't come automatically.

Head over to this link to request your sample. It'll come with a coupon too, which is always handy on the days when sample don't automatically materialize when you hit send.

Instant Win Game: Movie Tickets, Oreos

There are two instant win games going on right now, both of which have to do with texting. Hence the group message.

First, if you text OREO to 71717, you can win cookies and milk. You can enter daily and
there's a winner every hour. If you don't have texting, you can enter here. The promo ends on June 30.

Second, if you text MOVIES to 76060, you can win movie tickets thanks to Diet Coke. You can enter daily between now and July 16. If you don't have texting, you can enter here.

We'll be posting a reminder every day until these promos are over.

CVS: Good Deal Alert -- Almay

This is a good and bad deal alert, depending how you look at it.

Good deal: Almay is giving back $4 ecb wyb $10 at CVS this week [[ending 07/02]].

Better deal: There are $2 off coupons on the shelves at my store.

Bad deal: The coupons expire on Thursday.

Hurry up and get into your CVS and see if you can get in on this deal before the coupons expire.

CVS: Good Deal Alert -- Pringles Grab And Go

I found this deal on Sunday ... and then totally forgot about it until awesome reader Ann Marie reminded me about it.

The scanner at CVS is spitting out coupons for $1 off Pringles Grab And Go cans. There are two sizes of these. One is a bit larger than 1 oz and the other is a bit larger than 2 oz. The coupon is good for the 2.6 oz can.

Well, that size is sold in the "10 for $10" section -- which makes it $1. And that translates to free after coupon.

Time to stock up for those summer beach trips.

Referral Wednesday: MyCoupons.com

The goal in life is to never pay retail. Ever. So every time we walk into a grocery store, we're armed with coupons in hand.

Even when you're headed to brick and mortar stores, you flip through your home mailers.

But then, what about when you're shopping online? I know so many people who just click and buy without even looking up an online code. It's too much work for them to search google and look for a non-expired code.

That's where MyCoupons.com comes in. The site links codes for ton of stores. There's Macy's Coupons and Crocs Coupons. You can also use it for web-only sites and get Shutterfly Coupons. Search for your store, find the coupon code, enter it at check out, and bam, extra savings.

The site lists expiration dates so you know if you're running out of time on the code. There's also links to printable coupons and a way to buy discount gift cards. There's a blog there too, but it's not updated all that frequently [[maybe they should hire me to post there daily ... hmm, that's an idea]].

Head over to the site here and let us know what you like about it.

Full Disclosure: This post was written by me on behalf of MyCoupons. All opinions are my own.

Free Book: Free Wedding Planner

My friend and I were planning her [[eventually]] upcoming wedding yesterday. She's not engaged, but we're girls. It's what we do.

So what a coincidence that I just found on Crazy Coupon Mom that if you head over to this link and register for 1-800-Registry, you can receive a free 120-page wedding planner.

It's exactly what anyone in the planning stage needs. Even if you're like my friend in her pre-planning stage.

Free Sample: Pantene Shampoo [[First 454,000]]

If you head over to Pantene's Facebook page, like them, and then you can get a coupon for a free product. There are 454,000 coupons available. I got mine last night, but it's open again if you missed it.

Vistaprint: Free Stickers [[Today Only]]

Vistaprint is offering five camp-related deals this week.

I haven't been to camp in about two decades, and I don't have kiddies to send to camp, so really, I have no idea what campers need to bring to camp.

But Vistaprint says they need stickers to label all their items. Makes sense.

Head over to this link to get your stickers for free -- today only.

But let's be honest: These could come in handy to seal envelopes, label coupon binders, on and on. So, even if you don't have a camper, you can still get in on this deal. I actually just made Drugstore Divas stickers last week.

Coupon Alert: NYC At Rite Aid

The first 10000 people who head over to Rite Aid's Facebook page can print a coupon for $2 off a $5 NYC purchase.

Our Facebook friend Janine let us know this coupon can be found under the "All Things Beauty" tab.

While you're on Facebook, head over to Drugstore Divas' Facebook page and be our friend. We're so close to having 3,000 friends!

Swagbucks: Hunt For Collector's Bills

I just found a collectible bill on Swagbucks, so that's enough for me to feel like I can tell you about them.

There are five different values, and you'll get a 13 buck bonus if you find all five.

There's a 6, 9, 10, 12 and 17. If and when I find them in searches, I'll post them here so that you can get excited -- and reminded about them.

If you're not a member of Swagbucks [[the web's best search and win site -- in my opinion, at least]], sign up here and start searching.

Amazon: Free $2 In Music Credit

I just took a really long time to figure out my two favorite songs right now.

I got it down to Marry Me by Train and The Story of Us by Taylor Swift. And then I promptly ordered them before I could change my mind.

See, right now, if you head over to this link and enter the code CLOUDMP3, you can get $2 in free mp3s from Amazon.

The credit is valid through June 30. Choose wisely.

Exteme Couponing: Extreme Drama

I've been asked to appear on TLC's Extreme Couponing a few times now, and I can't bring myself to say yes.

I'm not extreme enough. I'm normal. I shop and buy four boxes of Excedrin PM because I know someone who uses it regularly. I don't buy 114 boxes for overage.

I'm extremely realistic.

I share my stockpile. Shoot, if you saw the amount I gave away over the weekend, you'd be proud.

I've been doing this for more years than I can count. I'm kinda a pro. I'm great at couponing -- but probably not great for couponing TV. And couponing TV might not be great for newbies.

I got this article emailed to me by a couple readers, so I wanted to pass it along. It's a Yahoo! Finance article titled Extreme Coupons: TV Show Draws Extreme Backlash. It's a good read.

Free Sample: Pantene Shampoo [[First 100,000]]

I got this deal in a round about way, but it seems to have originated at Addict2Save, so I'm linking there.

Anyway.

Free Sample: SoyJoy

When my grandma is in Florida, I babysit her CVS card. She wrote me a letter once and told me, "Don't buy me any SoyJoy. Or give them to Angel."

Angel is my aunt's dog.

So, needless to say, when amazing Ann Marie found a free sample of SoyJoy, I didn't send it to my grandma. I did, however, send one to myself. If you want to send one to yourself, head over to this link to request yours.

Free Sample: Disney Parks Vacation Planner DVD

I need a vacation. It's not even funny how badly I need a bit of rest and relaxation.

I'm not going on one anytime in the immediate future, so I need to at least pretend. If you're in the same boat, head over to this link and request your free Disney Parks Vacation Planner DVD. If you're at least planning a vacation, it's probably a good watch. Heck, it might even be a good way to keep the kiddies quiet when you're busy doing other things.

I went on a Splenda kick when there was a great catalina deal. I gave a couple boxes to my parents and a couple to my boyfriend.

Would you believe, those boxes of Splenda are getting low. It's because we use what we buy.

So super thanks goes to the always awesome Ann Marie who emailed to let me know there's a Splenda sample at this link. You're allowed to order two per person [[and it appears two packets come per sample]]. I definitely ordered mine. You should get yours. And, like Ann Marie wishes, hopefully it comes with a coupon.

Dave & Busters: I Went Shopping

I was in the mall, and it was a bust. I seriously don't even want to talk about it.

I did, however, get to Dave & Busters. I walked in, asked them to put my $10 free play which I won via the instant win game we talked about.

I walked in, got the $10 in credit on my card, and walked out.

I got $10 free play in May, so I've almost got a free date night.

Restaurant.com: $25 Certificate For $2

Another day, another Restaurant.com deal.

There's no expiration, so there's no rush. Which is why you should take advantage of these offers when we post, then use them whenever you want. And since this is the lowest I've seen the gift certificates go, but some now and then save it for later.

Right now, you can head over to Restaurant.com and get a $25 gift card for $2 when you enter the code SUMMER through Thursday [[June 30]].

Sunday Coupon Preview [[06/26/2011]]

I'm a little late on getting started today [[blame the fact that I had a graduation party yesterday and then I was out until 3 am]].

But, in case you haven't gone to get your papers yet, I wanted to let you know according to Sunday Coupon Preview, there will be a Smart Source and a Red Plum in today's paper. There's a BOGO Stayfree coupon, which always pairs up nicely with a sale, and some high value Dove coupons. There's a Twizzlers coupon, but mine was $1/3 and that's just terrible.

If you miss the paper because you're traveling for Dad's Day, you can always print coupons from this link and this link.

Sunday Speak: Do You Use What You Buy?

When people start couponing, they're hoarders. It's natural. They've never gotten free toothpaste or cheap shampoo before. So they want it all. As much as they can get. In their entire lives, they've never shopped like that, never gotten food for free, so they think they'll never get it again.

Us seasoned couponers know that's not true. We know sales are cyclical and will come around again.

But still, there are so people who turn their homes into stores, who will never run out of mustard for all of eternity -- not thinking that mustard is perishable and it will expire. Toothpaste has an expiration date too. But still, people just like to be the "haves" and have as much as possible in their stockpile, regardless of if it's expiring soon.

I want to shake those people and say, "Eat your free cereal. It's not there to look at or display. It's there for breakfast."

But even with non-perishable items, like laundry detergent. People will buy a truck load and then will refuse to share. I send my family members home with bags of items [[you should have seen what people left my house with yesterday after a graduation party]]. But I know other people who will not share their stockpile -- not even with the people living in their own home.

I know those people. I've met those people. Are you one of those people?

Banana Republic: Good Deal Alert -- Extra 25% Off Clearance

I need new clothes.

Yes, it's a need.

And with the sales going on right now, I think I'll get some. Right now, you can get an additional 25% off clearance at Banana Republic when you enter the code BRSALE25.

This is good through midnight tomorrow [[June 27]], so let's start shopping.

Saturday, June 25, 2011

Torrid: Good Deal Alert -- Extra 50% Off Clearance

Torrid wants to get rid of it's clearance, which is good for us. That means extra savings.

Between now and June 26, you can get an extra 50% off clearance at Torrid's website. No coupon code needed.

Let us know if you find anything good.

Price Chopper: New Coupon Policy

Price Chopper has a new coupon policy, effective Sunday, June 26. There was a post on Price Chopper's Facebook wall that read:
Hooray!!!! We have made the decision to offer double coupons with a manufacturer's face value up to .99 cents in our Capital District stores effective Sunday, June 26th! This gives all Chopper Shoppers the opportunity to get double coupons. For our coupon policy click here http://www2.pricechopper.com/coupons/coupons.shtml.
Now, I'll be honest, I've only shopped at Price Chopper in Northeast PA. And the deal there that any coupon under $1 would be doubled, not to exceed the value of $1. I'm not sure what the policy was in the "capital district" [[which I'm assuming means the DC area]], so I'm not exactly sure of this change. So, if you shop around here, let us know what you know.

Saturday Sample: Julep Nail Polish

I've been on a blue nail polish kick this season. I have to have a pure electric blue. It's kinda the way I wasn't satisfied until my nails were the blackest black last Fall. I've just gotten myself so fixated on electric blue.

So when the lovelies over at Julep asked if I wanted to try out some new nail polishes, I said, "Oh please, let me try Kristen." Okay, hold on. That sounds strange. Let me rewind. The Seattle-based Julep names all its colors female names. So instead of electric blue, there's Kristen. If you're still dreaming of the royal wedding, you can actually get a duo of Catherine and Pippa.

Well, to my dismay, Kristen was not available [[it's actually not even on the site anymore]], so I was offered Helena in its place. "Eh," I thought, yearning for my summer blue.

I put Helena on, and let me tell you: I have never in my life gotten so many compliments on my nail polish before. Every single woman I've come in contact with has complimented it. I even catch myself looking at it. I've been able to type without looking at the keys since I was about 14. Seriously. I never looked at the keys since then -- until I put on Helena. Now, I keep looking at the keys. Not to find the n key, but rather, to watch the beauty of the color flicking across the keys. It's gorgeous.

I also got to try Whitney, per my request. Whitney isn't nearly as eye catching, but that's why I wanted to try it. I had two weddings last weekend, and I was wearing a silver dress one day and a blue one the next. I wanted something neutral -- but not some run of the mill pale pink. A mushroom grey-beige, as Julep calls it, did the trick.

What I did notice about the polishes is that you can do a lot of help with a top coat. After a week with a top coat, my nails were in pretty good shape. After two days without, my nails were really chipping, making me look like I had some sort of nude French manicure.

Julep polishes cost $14 for a .27 oz. bottle. The bottle seems to be on the small side, but you don't need as many coats as you would your typical drugstore polish, so the amount of uses you get out of the bottles is comparable.

Julep donates $1 to organizations that support women with every bottle sold, which is pretty awesome. With that in mind, I may have to order Jaime. It's the closest I'll get to getting my blue fix.

Old Navy: I Went Shopping

That picture is not a mistake.

Give me a little bit to talk, and you'll get it.

I went to the mall last night to check out the $2 Tank Top sale a day early [[thanks to the Facebook coupon. Well, by the time I got there [[which was after work the tanks were so picked over, it was terrible.

Left was some bad green and a ton of whites. I would have gotten one, but all I really wanted was a white razor back. And there were none to be found. Just standard backs. I held it in my hand for a while, but there was no way I was waiting on line for just that. I looked around and couldn't find anything else I wanted, not even on the racks. And the tank tops were all too large, so it was either plan to gain weight or go home with nothing.

The picture shows you what I did.
