Now that I'm putting up my mailbox every day, I've realized that I do order free samples that I don't always post for whatever reason. I think I have a fear of overposting sometimes. PathMark: I Went Shopping

We have a Japanese exchange student living with us, and she's supposed to be learning English, but she's learning more about couponing.

I took her to PathMark triples so she could use a couple extra coupons, but then my mom was handing her coupons. My mom was watching her at checkout, so I don't know what exactly happened, but somehow, she bought ramen with no coupon, and still her total was only 7 cents. So there was a little triple magic happening.

She got ...
$2.99 -- McCain potatoes
$2.99 -- McCain potatoes
$2 -- Emeril's mustard
$2 -- Emeril's mustard
$2.50 -- Emeril's broth
$2.50 -- Emeril's broth
$1.19 -- Stride gum
$1.19 -- Stride gum
$2.99 -- Jello temptations
$2.49 -- Dole fruit cup
$2.49 -- Dole fruit cup
%.99 -- Ramen
Total: $26.32

Total after coupons: 7 cents

Coupon Alert: Milk-Bone, Jimmy D's, And More

I have a Japanese exchange student living at my house, so I'm trying to teach her how to coupon. She bought the paper one week and was trying to toss the coupons she wouldn't use. I told her she had to keep them all. She picked up a pet coupon. "I have to keep this?" she asked. "Yes, you have to keep all of them" she said. She asked why and I told her it's because you never know what will go on sale. "But," she rebutted, "you don't even have a pet."

Oh boy.

That's why I won't be printing most of the new coupons that you can find at this link, but I won't be printing most of them because, as you just learned, I don't even have a pet.

Pretty good mail day. At least, I think so.

Envelope filled with coupons [[including the $3 Splenda coupon]] from super reader Ann Marie!

What'd you get in the mail today?

PathMark: I Went Shopping

Oh triples how I love you.

Let me count the ways.

Triples at PathMark [[which goes til Sunday, May 1]] means 10 coupons per day, and coupons of $1 or under will double. Yes, including $1. That makes it hard to pick the items, but incredible deals.

Mine could have been better, but here's the thing: The coconut milk costs about $4 for the half gallon, and I got it for 99 cents. So that's half my total. Then I was dying for the corn dogs, even though they were $.49 each. So there's pretty much the rest.

I got ...
$2.99 -- Jello Temptations
$2.99 -- Jello Temptations
$3.49 -- State Fair corn dogs
$3.49 -- State Fair corn dogs
$3.99 -- So Delicious coconut milk

$2.49 -- Ritz munchables
$2.49 -- Dole fruit cup
$2.49 -- Dole fruit cup
$3.19 -- Bagel bites
Total: $30.10

Total after coupons: $2.16

That's a savings of about 93%. Sweet.

CVS: I Went Shopping

I don't know where this week went. I honestly don't. If you told me today was Monday, I'd believe you. But it's the end of the fastest week of my life. I swear.

At least I got to CVS [[barely before the sales ended]].

I got ...

$7.99 -- Blink tears
$5.94 -- 6 bags of Fritos for my grandma
Total: $13.93

Coupons:
$4 Blink peelie

Total after coupons: $9.93

I got back $7.99 for the Blink and $2 for the Fritos. And I also got back one happy grandma, which is worth more than any of my ecb.

14 Days For Mom: Ulta

Chances are your mom likes beauty products. And chances are she won't spend money on them because she's rather spend money on something else.

But Mother's Day is about pampering, so you definitely wanna check out Ulta.

And, lucky for you, Ulta has a great deal going on. Between now and Saturday, you can get free shipping on orders on $25 or more with the code 50830. Also, in conjunction with Mothers Day, you can get $3.50 off $10 with code 65728 [[that one expires May 8]].

But what if you're planning on spending more than $10. Don't worry, I found coupon codes for higher price points too. Save $15 off $75 with code SAVE15ON75 or $10 off $50 with code SAVE10ON50.

As far as I can tell, you can only use one coupon code per order and the two coupons above are good through May 8 as well.

There are a bunch of deals on Ulta [[free tote with a $30 fragrance purchase, free philosophy gift set if you spend $50 in philosophy items, so you've got a lot to choose from, no matter what Mom likes.

This post is in our 14 Days For Mom series. Be sure to check out the full series.

Restaurant.com: I Went Shopping

My boyfriend and I have date night every Wednesday. We decided yesterday was going to be dinner and the carnival date. It's finally nice out here, so we decided that we'd find a restaurant on the water where we could eat outside.

So off to restaurant.com I went.

Right now [[and ending April 30]], you can get a $25 gift certificate for only $2. Well, even less. When you shop through eBates, you get 25% back -- so it actually cost me $1.50. So that's what I did. I found a restaurant on the water, bought the gift certificate [[using PayPal, so I felt totally secure]], and it was sent to my email. I printed it and brought it with us to dinner.

The restaurant we were at required we order $35 of food to use it, so we did. Our total bill was $45, after tax. Off came the $25 [[totally easy]] and our bill -- for two people to eat, plus a glass of wine -- was $20, plus tip.

Who says you have to pay a lot for anything?

Free Sample: John Frieda

I love shampoo samples. Not that I need any more shampoo [[even free shampoo]] but I never keep the free samples for me. I save them to give with my Midnight Run donations.

My stash is almost ready to go out the door, but not without the John Frieda shampoo sample super reader Ann Marie found.

Head over to this link and you can get a free sample. What you do with it is up to you?

PathMark: Holy Triples [[April 29 to May 1]]

I got my PathMark circular yesterday, and my heart stopped. Christmas is coming early.

This weekend [[Friday, April 29 til Sunday May 1]], PathMark is having triples. The store will triple any coupons, up to and including $1. Usually it's only up to 99 cents, so the $1 coupons are only worth $1. This weekend, they're worth $3. It's a limit of ten per day, so you better believe I'm going all three days.

This gives me an excuse to buy thing that I probably wouldn't buy otherwise because, even with coupons, some things are out of my price range.

I put together a little list of printables and other non-insert coupons below to help you get started. Let me know what else you found in the comment.

Home mailer
$1/1 Jell-o Temptations [[$2.99 on sale, so FREE after triples]]

You may have noticed this, but in case you haven't: CVS is my favorite drugstore by far. I get the best deals there, by far.

Seems Rimmel agrees. See, if you head over to this link, you can print out a coupon for Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation for either CVS or Walgreens. Thing is, the CVS coupon is $3 off and the Walgreens one is only $2 off. Where are you gonna pick this up? That's easy ...

Coupon Alert: Wisk, Glade, And More

This is seriously the week for printables. I think that's probably because there weren't any insert coupons because of Easter, so we've gotta compensate somehow. We've got a little list below that you can print out from this link.

On Wednesday, I got ...

What'd you get in the mail?

Coupon Alert: Stonyfield Yogurt

I love Stonyfield yogurt. The vanilla with the cream on top, oh gosh, it's fantastic. Plus, I read somewhere that yogurt is good for belly fat and with bikini season right around the corner, well, some of us need all the help we can get.

So yay for Stonyfield and yay for coupons. Head over to this link and you can print out two coupons: Save 75¢ off ONE 16oz OR ONE multipack OR THREE 5.3oz Oikos Organic Yogurts and save 75¢ off ONE pack of Stonyfield Yobaby.

The coupons are good for ten days after print, so print when you're ready to use them.

Coupon Alert: NYC Color Lip Or Nail Product

I remember the first makeup coupon I used. It was for NYC. Products were BOGO at CVS and there was a tearpad for $1 off. Or maybe the coupon was BOGO and there wasn't a sale. Actually, that sounds more accurate.

The $1 off coupon sounds familiar only because I just found one. Head over to this link and you can print out a coupon for $1 off any NYC Lip or Nail product of $1.72 or more. That's a strange price point, but it must mean something to someone.

Restaurant.com: $25 Certificate For $2

Another day, another Restaurant.com deal.

There's no expiration, so there's no rush. Which is why you should take advantage of these offers when we post, then use them whenever you want. And you should take advantage of this one. This is the best I've seen so far.

Right now, you can head over to Restaurant.com and get a $25 gift card for $2 when you enter the code BONUS through Saturday [[April 30]].

And, even better, if you shop through eBates, you'll get 25% back [[up from the regular 15%]] in your account -- and $5 for signing up if you're a new member.

14 Days For Mom: Personalized Mugs And More From Vistaprint

Money's tight, I get that. You wanna get your mom a nice gift, but you really can't afford to break the bank. And if momma taught you well, she probably wouldn't want you to spend all that much anyway.

The halfway point is getting something nice that doesn't cost you all that much.

Similar to the Canvas People deal we posted earlier in this series, there's Vistaprint. Chances are you've heard of this site, and chances are very good that you've even used this site.

Right now, you should head to this link because Vistaprint is offering six free gifts for mom: wall calendars, mugs, flip books, note cards, mouse pads, and t-shirts.

If you're asking me, I'd lean towards the note cards if you wanna be simple and elegent or the mug if you're being a bit more adventurous. Yes, the mug. See, if you personalize it, then, when it arrives, stuff the bottom of it with some tissue paper. Then, fill it with mom's favorite treats, like candy [[which may be cheap now since it's post-Easter]], coffee, etc. Wrap it in plastic, tie a bow, and look: instant gift.

This post is part of our 14 Days For Mom series. Be sure to check out the full series.

Baskin Robbins: 31 Cent Scoop Night [[Today Only]]

This is the deal my aunt waits for every year. Baskin Robbins' 31 cent Scoop Night.

Last year, you were able to get three scoops for 31 cents each, so hopefully you can this year too. According to Baskin Robbins, this will help the National Fallen Firefighters Association.

This is happening tonight [[April 27]] from 5 pm to 10 pm. Can't wait -- especially since it's after Lent so I can finally enjoy some chocolate.

I can't say I'll do this every day. I can't even say I'll do this ever again. But I'm so bad at Mail Call Monday posts because I don't have anywhere to accumulate my mail for a week. So I end up putting it away and not taking a picture. So, instead, I figure I can take one every day [[or so]], post it, have it go live the next day, and you can get mini glimpses into my free samples.

Let's see if this catches on.

On Tuesday, I got ...

Newsweek

International Delight coffee creamer from Vocalpoint

Tide stain release sample

Giveaway: An Extra Day For $50 From Pampers

So, here's the deal. We have this fantastic giveaway going on to win a $50 VISA gift card, thanks to Pampers, to use to surprise an expectant mother.

For some reason, we ended up with two entries. That's it, just two. I couldn't figure out why. I mean, it's $50, we have generous readers. It didn't add up. So then I went to the top of the page to the announcement section to make sure the link was working.

It wasn't.

So we have this giveaway going on, but no one can get to it. And I didn't catch this until about 36 hours into the giveaway. So, to make up for it, I'm taking another 24 hours onto the giveaway. Instead of ending at 11:59 pm on Sunday, May 1, it'll end at 11:59 pm on Monday, May 2. For all the details on the giveaway and how to enter, head over to this link.

House Party: Host A Captain Morgan's House Party

So House Party totally changed the way you enter for parties now. It's so much simpler. That's good, I guess, but you don't get to answer any questions anymore. And I always felt the answers to your questions helped you get selected.

Well, I hope my generic survey was good enough to get me selected for the Captain Morgan's House Party. You can apply. If you're picked, you'll get:
Coupon or mail-in rebate for Captain Morgan® Long Island Iced Tea*
Gift card for your purchase of Captain Morgan® Long Island Iced Tea
Taxi vouchers, courtesy of Captain Morgan®
Disposable camera to upload your party pics to FB, Twitter, your blog, etc
Captain cups
Captain BBQ Set
Captain serving tray
Captain pitcher
Captain deck of cards
Captain party poster
Captain Shirt (1 Mens, 1 Womens)
Head over to House Party to apply.

Recycle Bank: Green Your Home Challenge

If you've been following Recycle Bank's Green Your Home challenge, you'll be excited to know that the final room -- the bathroom -- unlocks today.

If you haven't been following along, let me give you a quick recap.

Recycle Bank is a site dedicated to, well, recycling. For doing various tasks or entering codes from specially marked packages, you'll earn points, which you can turn in for fantastic coupons.

Right now, there's the Green Your Home challenge [[under the Earn tab]]. You go into various rooms of the house, read facts, make pledges, answer questions, and earn Recycle Bank points.

The bathroom is the last room and it unlocks today. Head over there to rack up some free points.

14 Days For Mom: Canvas People

I'm obsessed with photo gifts. I would give a photo gift to every one for every holiday. I really would. I'm forever partaking in the photo deals I'm posting. I just really love photo gifts.

But a photo in a frame ... lame. I'm just not a fan. A collage print in a frame ... love it. A canvas print ... love it even more.

Right now, Canvas People has such an incredible offer going on, this Mothers' Day gift is a no brainer.

An 8x10 canvas is $54.95. Holy crap, right? Thanks, but no thanks. But right now, if you shop through this link, you can get it for free [[just pay shipping]].

If you think the 8x10 is too small, Canvas Print does have larger sizes. And yes, they come with a larger price tag. But with the link above, you'll actually get $50 off any size print. So find your favorite photo and get shopping.

This post is part of our 14 Days Of Mothers' Day series. Be sure to check out the whole series.

Pretzeltime: National Pretzel Day [[Today Only]]

Twisted reader [[oh, you'll see what I'm doing with that in a minute]] Ann Marie emailed me and said, "Gosh, these holidays just keep sneaking up on me....."

Well that makes two of us.

See, today [[April 26]] is National Pretzel Day, apparently. I really think stores are just making up bogus holidays, but if it involves me getting free food, I'm in.

So thanks to Ann Marie's email I can tell you that National Pretzel Day means that participating Pretzelmaker stores are giving out free pretzels if you say [[oh, you'll never guess]]: National Pretzel Day.

The list of participating stores is here. I don't see times, but I do see this is for either a salted or unsalted pretzel.

Chili's: Kids Eat Free [[Today Only]]

In case you need a reason to visit Chili's today, be sure to take your kids with you. I got a coupon in my email that kids under 12 eat for free with the purchase of an adult entree Tuesday, April 26th only. Seems like Chili's wants to drum up business on Tuesdays since we have seen this deal before!

If you didn't get the email, call your local Chili's to see if they will honor the offer without the coupon. Limit of 2 free kids meals per table.

Also, don't forget to head over to this link and sign up for a free chips and queso coupon.

Coupon Alert: Starbucks

It's no secret to everyone that I like coupons. I'm not ashamed either. I'm not over the top like some people who have been featured on certain television programs. I just refuse to pay full price for, well, for pretty much everything. My friends, my coworkers, my coworkers who are friends, everyone knows this. So I get coupons sent to me from everyone. This one -- which is fantastic -- is from the latter.

My work friend let me know that if you head over to this link, Starbucks will offer you some pretty nice coupons for the supermarket. You can get the following:

Save $1 on any two pints of Starbucks® Ice Cream.
Save $1 on Starbucks VIA® Ready Brew coffee.
Save $1 on Tazo® tea.
Save $1.50 on Starbucks® packaged coffee.

I don't know how long the link will be live, so print yours now.

Pretzelmaker: National Pretzel Day [[April 26]]

Twisted reader [[oh, you'll see what I'm doing with that in a minute]] Ann Marie emailed me and said, "Gosh, these holidays just keep sneaking up on me....."

Well that makes two of us.

See, tomorrow [[April 26]] is National Pretzel Day, apparently.

I'll remind you tomorrow.

Tiny Prints: Free Mothers Day Card [[Today Only]]

In case you missed out on the free Mother's Day card we posted about, don't worry, it's back!

You can still get in on a cheap Mother's Day card.

Today only Tiny Prints is offering Mother's Day cards for free with the code MDCARD.

Don't wait on this like you probably waited on the free card. That came and gone. You don't want that to happen with this too.

14 Days For Mom: Sarah Peyton Shiatsu Back Massager

Welcome to the first day of 14 Days For Mom, our feature to give you gift ideas for your mom for Mother's Day.

We're starting this series off with the Sarah Peyton Shiatsu Back Massager for two reasons. One] you can find it at you local CVS and since this blog is Drugstore Divas, that makes a lot of sense and two] it's the best item I've product tested in a long time.

The back massager, which retails for $19.99, looks like armor for your chair. Nice, cozy armor. You strap it on to the chair -- any chair -- and that chair turns into my favorite reason for getting my toes done at a salon [[the massage, if you're not following me]].

There are way more settings on this massager than you'd think, considering it's coming from a drugstore, not some overpriced home store chain. There's heat or not; four different settings of massage [[my mom prefers "wave"]]; and you can choose to work the left side, right side, or both. You even get to choose between high and low.
I tried it and didn't want to get out of the chair. But, like hot tubs, this has a setting to tell you when you're through. Yup, it turns itself off at the point where you should be through [[but no one will tell if you turn it back on]]. The massager has a power adapter, so you do have to sit relatively close to an outlet ... or I guess you can run a long extention chord, if you feel so inclined.

I'm one of those people who visit those overpriced home store chains when I feel like I pulled a muscle, just so I can sit in the massage chair. Now, I can just pull this out of the box [[okay, who am I kidding? This hasn't returned to the box since it came in the mail]].

Believe me, your mom will love this. Your dad, well, probably not. My dad took one look at it and decided this product test was not for him. Suits me just fine. More time in the chair for the ladies of the home.

Full Disclosure: CVS sent me this product to test for purpose of this review. All thoughts and ideas are my own. No money was exchanged for a favorable review.

This post is part of our 14 Days For Mom series. Check out the other posts in the series.

Target: Super Store In Wilkes-Barre

My Target store is a mess! They are currently remodeling to become a Super Target. I don't really know how they are going to fit it all into the curret footprint but I am sure they will figure it out.

I got a $5 off any $75 purchase good only at the Wilkes-Barre, Pa Target store. It came with a little brochure detailing the new changes. I can't wait to figure out the best deal to use that coupon!

CVS: Easter Is On Sale

Hope you had a fantastic Easter. Mine was great, thanks for asking. Oh, you didn't ask? You just came here for the deals, not the chit chat. Yeah yeah yeah, I see.

So, onto the deal.

Since today is the day after Easter, all Easter items are 50% off at CVS. They'll be half off all week.

Following CVS' traditional clearance schedule [[which tends to hold true for all holidays except for Christmas]], next Sunday [[May 1]] all items will be 75% off. The following Sunday [[May 8 -- which is also Mother's Day]], all items will be 90% off. And the next Sunday, all the Easter items will be packed up and off the shelves.

If there's something good you want, don't wait. A few years ago, I didn't pick up any Cadbury Mini Eggs bags because I was sure that they would be best bought at 75% off. Except they were wiped out by then and I had to wait til the following year to stock up. Never made that mistake again.

Pampers: Miracle Mission And A Giveaway

I'm a big supporter of companies that do something. Sure, it's easy to turn a profit -- especially when you're a company like Pampers. You sell diapers, something babies use multiple times a day. Pampers provides a product parents need. And the company could stop there.

But, instead, Pampers is using its name to give back to the community. This month, Pampers started something called "Little Miracles Mission." This program encourages participants to pay-it-forward and, according to the press release, "to congratulate and offer support to an expectant mother with a gift or surprise gesture."

Pampers set the bar high. The company donated gift packages to NICUs around the country.

Pampers is encouraging everyone to perform an act of kindness themselves. Now, this is where Drugstore Divas comes in. Pampers asked us to participate and help. The company offered me a $50 VISA gift card to use to surprise a little miracle [[or miracle to be]] in my community. I'm throwing around ideas now, but I'm leaning towards a spa set or gift certificate for a mani/pedi, a gift card for a restaurant, and a magazine subscription to an expectant mother I know. This would all defintely be a welcomed surprise for her. I've gotta figure out the details, though, especially since the celebrity gossip magazine I know she'd love is nearly $55 on magazines.com.

But, I know this post has gotten your mind swirling and you want to do something for expectant mothers in your community. Well, you can. Pampers has generously given us another $50 VISA gift card for one of our readers.

How can you win it? Well, put your thinking cap on and figure out how you could best spend this $50 on an expectant mother in your community. You can use it to buy baby clothes for a mom to be, donate baby products to a community program, whatever you think is best.

When you come up with your idea, leave it in the comments. You've got til Monday, May 2 at 11:59 pm, est, to come up with the best idea. We'll pick the one we feel is best and you'll be the winner.

Now, if tossed around a ton of ideas since hearing about this promo, so every day my idea of what to do with my $50 changes. I figure yours might too. So, because of that, you can leave an idea a day between now and May 1.

As a bonus entry, if you can find me a deal on a celebrity gossip magazine, leave that in the comments as well. That'll get you an extra entry for every deal you find.

So, start thinking ... and start leaving ideas.

Full disclosure: This giveaway is sponsored by Pampers. The company provided both gift cards and info about the program. All ideas are my own.

Coupon Alert: Powerade

Oh how I wish I had found this coupon sooner.

It expires on April 30, which is so super annoying because I'm a Powerade fiend. The tearpad, which I found in Stop & Shop, is for two free Powerades when you buy five. These were on sale for buy 10 get five free last week in my local supermarkets, so here's to hoping that sale happens again before the end of the month.
