Small Business Saturday: Free Gift Card From FedEx

Small Business Saturday: Free Gift Card From FedEx

I had been hearing rumors about this for a while, but I didn’t know how true it was.

I finally got the official press release emailed to me, so now I feel confident that I can tell you about it.
Saturday, November 26 is Small Business Saturday, which encourages you to shop at local, independently owned merchants.
I’m a huge supporter of local shops. I actually just went to a small local Japanese market yesterday and dropped a chunk of change. And when Pete and I go out to eat, it’s always to small local restaurants [[unless there is a freebie involved]]. We support our mom and pop shops because if we don’t, they won’t continue to be there.
In order to encourage you to support small businesses, FedEx is giving away $1 million — in increments of $25 gift cards — on the FedEx Facebook page, starting at 1 pm ET tomorrow [[November 1]]. Honestly, it’ll probably start and end tomorrow, knowing the way these things go.
The gift cards are to be used at small businesses on Small Business Saturday. And, well, I’m going to encourage you to shop at small businesses all holiday season. Yes, we can find cheaper deals at large chains, but keep your local businesses in mind when you’re shopping for specialty items … or if you just wanna foster some competition between the man and the little guy.
My best advice to you is to get on the page early and get ready to refresh. While you’re waiting, be sure to head over to the Drugstore Divas Facebook page. I’m sure we’ll all be there, chatting, waiting for the promo to start.
I’ll definitely remind you about this in time to get online tomorrow.
Weis: Free Puffs

Weis: Free Puffs

I hate buying tissues. I will be stocking up at Weis for sure this week. I wasn’t really sure this deal would work but it worked for me twice today. Puffs tissue cubes [[with lotion and with Vicks included]] are on sale 10 for $10.

There is a catalina that you get $5 for a future purchase if you buy 5 selected items. Well Puffs are part of that. I used the $1 off 6 coupon from the P&G insert. I bought 6 boxes and paid $5 out of pocket and got $5 back for a future purchase.

I was able to use that $5 to buy another 5 boxes and it printed again. Even without the coupon, you can buy 5 for $5 and get the $5 catalina.

Amazon: Tweet For MP3 $2 Credit [[Last Day]]

There is too many deal and too little time. Today is the last day to grab a $2 MP3 Amazon Credit. You need a twitter account.

Click [[here]] to tweet and get your $2 credit.

Warning: This credit can only be used towards album purchases and will expire at 11:59 p.m. Pacific on October 31, 2011. In other words, you can not get a free song. I found out the hard way.

Target: New Apparel Printable Coupons

Target: New Apparel Printable Coupons

Yesterday Target released new printable coupons and of course I was not home to print them. But they are still available!

Click [[here]] to print Target store coupons.

I recommend you print the apparel coupons because you might get free clothes or really cheap with the coupon.

$4 off Women’s Sweater
20% off Men’s Merona apparel item
20% off any Jewelry item
$3 off Women’s sleepwear item
$5 off Women’s denim bottom

The other day I was cleaning out my printable coupons. I had $3 off any Merona Top when it was previously available so I went to Target. I found a $4.98 Merona sweater and $3.74 sleeveless top.

Chipotle: Boorito [[$2 Food, Today Only]]

Chipotle: Boorito [[$2 Food, Today Only]]

If you live in the New England area, the chance of Saturday’s freak storm knocking out your power is huge.

And I know there are many people who still don’t have power, which means all your food is toast. Not literally toast, but … okay, you know what I mean.
If you’re looking for dinner ideas, try Chipotle. Today [[Halloween]], after 6 pm, if you come in dressed as something inspired by The Family Farm, you can get a burrito, bowl, salad, or an order of tacos for $2.
I don’t have a Chipotle by me, but I do love burritos, so this might actually be worth the drive.
Walgreens: FREE Prints [[Two Days Only]]

Walgreens: FREE Prints [[Two Days Only]]

Super reader Ann Marie read about my frustration about not being able to get my prints.

And now, she so awesomely found a deal that will not only make up for the 20 free prints I missed out on — but will actually get me double the prints.
Yup, she found a deal where I can get 40 free prints from Walgreens. And you can too.
Head over to Walgreens’ photo page, add 40 prints to your card, use the code drugstore40 and you can get your 40 prints for free. Ship to store and you don’t even have to pay shipping.
This is good today and tomorrow only, so don’t take too long to figure out what to print.
