Sunday Speak: Do You Costume?

Today is Halloween! For the kids we know that means trick-or-treating. But what about the adults? Lisa and I are divided on Halloween. I love it, her not so much. I am excited over dressing up and going to a party.

I had a costume this year that I was so excited over. Then it came. It was a disaster. Way too big and not fixable or cute at all. I ended up in a jam and got a really cute witch costume. Lisa was in a jam too and needed a costume asap too. She ended up being a witch too!! Good thing we didn't go to the same party!

What about you? Do you dress up? What did you go as this year? What was your favorite costume? Do you have a specific Halloween ritual? What is your favorite part of the holiday?

Chili's: Dinner Tonight

Chances are, you're gonna be Trick or Treating with the kiddies if you've got some. And chances are, you're not gonna wanna cook when they're done.

You've got options.

You can let them stuff their faces with the candy they've collected ... or you can take them to Chili's with this coupon.

Well, not that exact coupon.

See, I'm on Chili's email list so I got it. But, see, if you see up top, when you click the coupon, it says email=me%40yahoo.com [[yeah, up in the URL]]. Chance the me%40yahoo.com to your email address, using %40 instead of @ and you'll get a unique coupon code. That way, you can get free kids meals with any adult entrée purchase today [[October 31]] after 3 pm.

Sounds a lot healthier than a sugar meal.

Sunday Coupon Preview [[10/31/10]]

Not only is today Halloween but it is also Sunday coupon day! And even better it is a Proctor & Gamble Sunday! I love it when it is time for a new P&Ginsert.

Also in today's insert is a SmartSource and Red Plum. To be honest none of the coupons in those inserts for me are very exciting! I hope your region got better coupons.

Pampers: Gifts To Grow Code [[5 Points]]

Twas the night before Halloween and all through the house, not a creature was stirring ... except for a Pampers Gifts to Grow code.

Okay, so I’m pushing it, but I’m trying to be creative here.

It was worth a shot.

Anyway, I read over on Deal Seeking Mom that if you enter the code 4HAPPYHALLOWEEN at Pampers’ website you’ll get five Gifts to Grow points.

It’s better for your waistline than candy.

Growing Tree Toys: Shout The Savings

My Shout Color Catcher sample [[which I swore we posted, but didn't because I just checked and we only have a draft of it]] came in the mail, and I opened it because, well, that's the thing you do with mail. You open it.

Inside it was a coupon for Growing Tree Toys. If you enter the code SHOUT at checkout, you'll save 20% off your total. This is only good until Wednesday, November 10, so you kinda wanna hurry.

If you want some toys, but you'd rather not pay, then create a wishlist. If you enter this contest, you can win your entire wish list ... up to $1,000 worth of toys. This ends tomorrow though, so you really have to hurry.

Kmart Doubles: October 31 Only

Kmart Doubles are back. For just one day only, October 31. But they are doubling up to $2! Limit is 5 coupons, you need your Kmart Shop Your Way Cards and spend $25 in grocery and drugstore merchandise. Makes me wonder if they realize what they are missing without the doubles.

Check out the details here. Spending $25 and getting a good deal might be tough. Let us know if you went and what you got.

Rite Aid: More Video Values

Swagbucks has this new video program where you watch and win some bucks. I just can't get behind it. I don't know why, but I can't sit and watch videos online.

Which is why I have trouble with Rite Aid's video values. If you don't, you wanna log into your account because there are three brand new coupons there. What are they?

$0.50 off Stride Shift Gum
$1off any Coca-Cola 7.5oz mini can 8pk
$1.00 off 7up 12 packs

Enjoy -- if you're into that.

Black Friday Ad: Ace Hardware

It's only a month before Black Friday, and the ads are starting to post. We're not planning on posting any of them ourselves unless we get them in our hands early, but we will be directing you to any ads we find online.

If you head to this link, you can check out the Black Friday ad that bfads.net posted for Ace Hardware. Let us know if you find anything worth waking up early for.

Kmart: Good Deal Alert -- Hershey's

If you haven't gotten your Halloween candy yet, hurry over to Kmart. Right now, you can get Hershey's snack size bags for $2. Jumbo snack size bags are $4, according to this email.

The smaller bags are limit two and the larger bags are limit ten.

Coupon Alert: Seventh Generation

I got an email from Seventh Generation, letting me know that there are new coupons available if you head to this link. Trouble is, I can't open that link. So, if you like 7Gen products, you can struggle with opening it. Me, I'm just letting you know they're there.

TGI Friday's: Frightfully Free

Friday's is having all sorts of Halloween-related promotions, so we're gonna cut to the chase and let you know what's going on.

Today [[October 29]], you can get a free appetizer [[well, fried mozzarella, pot stickers, or green bean fries only]] if you go to the restaurant in costume.

Tomorrow [[October 30]], you can also get a free app of the same choosing if you're in costume. At 9 pm, there will be a costume contest and you can win a $100 gift card from Best Buy.

On Halloween, kids eat free off the kids menu -- as long as one] they're in costume and two] there's an adult entrée being paid for.

Worth dressing up for?

IHOP: Halloween Pancakes For Free [[Today Only]]

You have to eat every day. And if you have kids, well, they have to eat every day too.

So you might as well feed them something free, right?

If you bring your kids [[under 12]] to IHOP today [[October 29]], they can get a free scary face pancake.

It's dine-in only, so even though IHOP doesn't say with purchase, if you feel weird just watching your kids eat free food and taking a bite or two off their plates, well, you're gonna probably wanna place an order yourself.

Good Deal Alert -- Toy Story 3

I'm gonna tell you a secret. There are very few things I'm sure about in this post. So follow along closely.

I'm sure Toy Story 3 came out in theaters. And, after today, I'm pretty sure it's coming out of DVD soon. Or came out. Like I said, I'm a little gray in this post.

Anyway, that's about all I know, except that Jamie from Time 2 Save Workshops found a bunch of deals to get the movie for super cheap.

You can find a coupon and one of her scenarios here. If you'd rather shop at CVS, check out her other scenario here.

And if you figure it all out and you're sure what to do, well, you're gonna wanna thank Jamie because goodness knows I haven't been much help here.

Wyoming Valley Mall: Trick Or Treat

If you're in the Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania area tonight [[October 28]], you're gonna wanna head down to the Wyoming Valley Mall on Route 309.

Starting, well, now [[6 pm]], there's free Trick or Treating at the mall. A lot of malls around the country do this as a safe way for your kids to get some candy that doesn't potentially have razor blades in it.

If you know a mall in your area that's participating, let us know in the comments.

ULTA: 20% off Online Sale

I know not everyone is lucky enough to have an Ulta store near them. That won’t stop you from getting great deals online from Ulta.

You get to choose three free samples with every online order. Free shipping if you spend over $50. And until Saturday 10-30 if you use the code 47139 at checkout you will save 20% off your entire purchase. 20% is not good on fragrance, and certain other cosmetics like Stilla, Bare Escentuals, Smashbox and Philosophy.

Black Friday Ad: Kmart Toy Catalog

It's only a month before Black Friday, and the ads are starting to post. We're not planning on posting any of them ourselves unless we get them in our hands early, but we will be directing you to any ads we find online.

If you head to this link, you can check out the Black Friday ad that bfads.net posted for Kmart's Toy Book. Let us know if you find anything worth waking up early for.

Coupon Alert: Halloween Candy

Halloween is on Sunday, so if you haven't gotten candy yet, you're probably gonna wanna do that soon.

Even though you're at the eleventh hour, don't pay retail. Head over to this link and we've got the following coupons for you to print:

$2.00 off ONE (1) Nestle Candy Variety Bag
$1.50 off ONE (1) Wonka Mixups
$2.00 off ONE (1) Wonka® Best on the Block
$2.50 off TWO (2) Nestle Candy Variety Bags
$1.50 off any THREE (3) bags Skittles, Starburst, Lifesavers

Black Friday Ad: Walmart Toys Catalog

It's only a month before Black Friday, and the ads are starting to post. We're not planning on posting any of them ourselves unless we get them in our hands early, but we will be directing you to any ads we find online.

If you head to this link, you can check out the Black Friday ad that bfads.net posted for Walmart's Toy Book. Let us know if you find anything worth waking up early for.

Express: Good Deal Alert -- Free Shipping [[Ends Today]]

I just got an email from Express, letting me know that free shipping on $75+ purchases ends today [[October 27]].

I didn't have plans to order anything from there, but if you did, do it today. And, if you do, shop through eBates so you can get 2.5% back.

Smashbox: Pretty Points

Smashbox seems to be the latest company to realize that rewards programs are the way to go. So Smashbox created Pretty Points.

Now, truth be told: I just got an email about the program. It could have existed for ages, but it's news to me.

Head over to this link to register. You'll get five points per dollar spent, and a $10 rewards certificate when you get 500 points [[which is $100 spent]].

There are double point days, an extra deluxe sample with all your orders, and a free [[after purchase]] birthday gift set during your birthday month [[mine's next month, so I'll let you know what they offer]].

If you're already registered at Smashbox, you can use that to register for Pretty Points too, so you don't need two accounts.

Dale & Thomas: National Popcorn Month

It's October, which I always associated with Halloween and Breast Cancer Awareness. Now, we'll think of it as National Popcorn Month, if Dale & Thomas have its way.

The popcorn people are professing that it's National Popcorn Month and are celebrating with 10% off when you enter the code NPM10 at checkout.

The prices aren't bad, all things considered, so if you wanna send a Halloween popcorn treat to your favorite blogger, well, you won't be breaking the bank.

Clinique: Online Only Freebies

I know a lot of people who swear by Clinique soap. I don't know why [[mostly because I don't use soap on my face -- ever]], but people like it.

If you're one of those people, you wanna order on Clinique's website now. Why now? Because you can get six skin care of makeup items for free with any $21.50 purchase.

Spend a little more [[just $40 total]] and you can get free shipping too. Sounds like the right time to stock up.

Borders: Good Deal Alert -- Save 33%

It's a little early for me to start telling you to stock up for Christmas. I'm really waiting until November to let all that goodness come out.

But, if you have someone you might wanna get a book for, hurry up and get it today [[October 26]] or tomorrow [[October 27]]. Borders just put out a 33% off coupon you can print from here.

I haven't seen a high-value Borders coupon in a while [[where'd my 40% go?]], so you might wanna shop before all the good coupons are missing.

Piperlime: Happy Birthday

Piperlime is celebrating its birthday. I wish it was celebrating my birthday and passing me some free money.

Although, it's basically sending free money for its birthday.

I got an email this morning telling me that for every order placed on Piperlime today [[October 26]] only, you'' get a $25 gift certificate towards your next purchase. Also, 1 in 100 will win $100.

And don't forget to shop through eBates because you'll get $5 for signing up and 8% back right now. Yup, 8%. Plus Piperlime always has free shipping.

Sounds like I need a new purse.

Black Friday Ad: Toys R Us

It's only a month before Black Friday, and the ads are starting to post. We're not planning on posting any of them ourselves unless we get them in our hands early, but we will be directing you to any ads we find online.

If you head to this link, you can check out the Black Friday ad that bfads.net posted for Toys R Us. Let us know if you find anything worth waking up early for.

Banana Republic: Good Deal Alert -- 30% Off Outerware

This may come as no surprise to you, if you're a regular reader of this blog, but I'm sick. Actually, I'm sick on top of being sick, which is the worst, let me tell you. It's like 70 out [[which is totally rare this time of year]] and I'm wearing a peacoat.

If you want a new jacket -- or live somewhere where you can wear one already without having a temperature -- check out Banana Republic. Through today [[October 26]], you can save 30% on outerware and cold weather accessories. You're gonna need gloves. Pick 'em up now.

Free Sample: Food Should Taste Good [[First 100,000]]

I love Food Should Taste Good chips. Absolutely love them. Even though they're not a meal [[okay, short story: I was always trying to convince myself that SunChips could count as breakfast because they're grain, but no, that's not true]].

Anyway, back to FSTG, if you head over to its Facebook page and "like" the brand, you'll get a coupon [[mailed]] for a free bag of chips.

It's limited to the first 100,000, so you're gonna wanna hurry. After you score your coupon, head over to our Facebook page and be our friend.

Buca di Beppo: World Pasta Day

There's a day for everything, it seems. And somehow today [[October 25]] has been dubbed World Pasta Day, according to Buca di Beppo.

At least, it's an excuse for the restaurant to give away [[kinda]] free pasta.

According to Red Plum, you can get spaghetti with marinara or meat sauce for free -- when you purchase a small or large pasta entrée.

So, kinda free. And since it's dinnertime now, it's kinda a good deal if you've got nothing in the oven.

The Body Shop: Get It Half Off

Gotta get this up quick, so no storytime, just a deal.

Today, on Groupon, you can get a certificate for $40 worth of The Body Shop products for only $20.

That's huge, especially since one] Christmas is coming and two] these stores closed around me forever ago and I've been dying for some after sun lotion from there for years.

All you have to do is head to this link and it's the deal of the day. If you have any products I should definitely try from there, let me know.

Rite Aid: Snap A Win

It's that time of year when everyone is taking pictures of their kids. Happy Halloween, you know. You wanna save the moment wen Sally is a pumpkin ... but you don't wanna save it on your camera card. Nope, you wanna print it and hang it.

Print it cheaply right now by heading to this link and watching the Rite Aid Video Value video for FujiFilm. After, you can get a Halloween photo pack for -- including your choice of either one 5x7 or 4x6 print along with 6 wallet-sized photos -- for just 99 cents.

Now, truth be told, if you don't wanna get Halloween pics developed, that's probably okay. I can't imagine the cashier at Rite Aid is gonna inspect.

My Coke Rewards: Double The Power

If this looks familiar, that's because it is. I told you we'd remind you, so here's the reminder.

My brother had won some My Coke Rewards points and so generously donated them to me, so I logged into my account to enter them.

Well, turns out today [[October 25]] is Powerade double points day.

This is by far the most exciting My Coke Rewards day for me. Why? Because I don't drink soda, so the only way I get Coke points is through Powerade. Then I save up all my caps and put them in on double point days and I'm happy.

Coupon Alert: Gold Emblem Water And Combos

There are almost more words in the headline than in this post. But, nonetheless, I was in CVS and noticed a new tearpad. You can get a free bottle of Gold Emblem water when you buy two bags of Combos. I found it hanging on the drink cooler, right in front of the Gold Emblem water. So, if you want to pick yourself up a couple, you're gonna wanna check over there.

Old Navy: $5 Fleece Vests

I like this Old Navy One Day Wonder! Only today, Saturday October 23rd, Old Navy has performance fleece vests for the entire family for just $5 each.

Limit is 5 per person. Old Navy will probably be packed for this sale so go early!

Wendy's: Free Ringtone

I don't watch nearly as much television as I thought I've been watching lately because I have no clue what or who "Pookie Bear" is, what or who it has so do with Wendy's, or why I'd want a ringtone.

But yet, I got an email from Wendy's saying that if you head to this link, you can get the "Pookie Bear Ringtone" for free. Maybe that means something to you. If it does, you're welcome?

Walgreens: Free 8x10

I love free photos from Walgreens! Now I just have to decide what picture to get made into a free 8x10! Use the online code 8X10TREAT at checkout.

The code is valid until Saturday, October 23rd. Select to pick up the picture at your local Walgreens and save on shipping too!

Coupon Alert: Coldstone Creamery

I love Coldstone. A lot. I don't go too often [[three times a year, max]], but this might get me there a little sooner.

Coldstone wants you to try its new cookie batter ice cream. And to lure you, the ice cream joint has put out this coupon where you can get two like its [[ice cream and a mix in]] for $5.

Sounds sweet.

Swagbucks: Run For A Cause

I know a lot of people have signed up for Swagbucks and use the search engine to win bucks that can be turned into Amazon gift cards.

Me too.

But I was looking at prizes and realized that between now and November 12, you can donate Swagbucks to Run For Her Ovarian Research & Awareness. What is it? I'll let Swagbucks tell you.
Every seven minutes in the United States a woman is diagnosed with a cancer of the reproductive organs. Many will win their fight against cancer, but sadly, many others will not. There is no clinical screening for ovarian cancer, and the most successful tool to fight ovarian cancer is greater awareness of signs and symptoms. Join us as we gather to spread the word and fund the research to help stop the devastation of this disease. Do it for your mom, your sister, your daughter, your neighbor... do it for her!

The run for her 5k Run and Friendship Walk supports ovarian cancer research, treatment and education at the Cedars-Sinai Women's Cancer Research Institute (WCRI) at the Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute. To date, more than 13,000 participants and supporters have helped increase ovarian cancer awareness and raised nearly $3 million for ovarian cancer research, treatment and education.
The minimum donation is 5 Swagbucks, which, if you play on the site you know is nothing. So, if you win some bucks today from searching, think about donating those to a good cause. I know I did.

CVS: Good Deal Alert -- Fun Pops

I'm sick right now, so it's really hard for me to think of anything cold, especially ice pops. But, I'm so dedicated to this blog that I had to let you know that boxes of Fun Pops [[100 count ice pops]] are on clearance for 39 cents at one of my stores. That's 90% off. Other stores in my area have carried them for $4.19, so that would look like 41 cents on clearance. Either way, you might wanna check and stock up.

My Coke Rewards: Double The Power

My brother had won some My Coke Rewards points and so generously donated them to me, so I logged into my account to enter them.

Well, turns out Monday, October 25 is Powerade double points day.

This is by far the most exciting My Coke Rewards day for me. Why? Because I don't drink soda, so the only way I get Coke points is through Powerade. Then I save up all my caps and put them in on double point days and I'm happy.

Don't worry: we'll remind you about this on Monday because goodness knows I don't wanna forget about it either.

CVS: Triple The Moistness

I got wind from a couple people that there was a hidden freebie this week [[ending 10/23]] at CVS. Of course I had to go check it out ... and, sure enough, it was real.

Neutrogena Triple Moisture Split End Therapy is $749, regular price. But this week, it's giving $7.49 back in ecb, making it free.

I haven't been able to find a coupon for this, but I didn't look for one all that hard. With a freebie like this during a boring week, everyone will be running to CVS to get in on this, so I didn't wanna wait.

PSA:Graco Stroller Recall

Graco is recalling almost 2 million baby strollers sold before 2008 due to the death of four infants. The infants died of strangulation due to becoming trapped in the leg opening under the tray.

Graco is voluntarily recalling the Quattro Tour and MetroLite strollers. The strollers were sold mostly at major retailers across the country including Babies R Us, Burlington, Fred Meyer, Kmart, Meijers, Sears, Target and Walmart during November 2000 and December 2007.

To see a list of all the Graco strollers being recalled visit here.

Coupon Alert: Scrubbing Bubbles

I just got an email that there are some new Scrubbing Bubbles coupons released at Right@Home. Head over to this link to register to print these: $5 off a Scrubbing Bubbles automatic shower cleaner starter kit; $2/2 Scrubbing Bubbles automatic shower cleaner refills; and $1/1 Scrubbing Bubbles toilet cleaning gel.

IHOP: Pancakes For The Kiddies

You have to eat every day. And if you have kids, well, they have to eat every day too.

So you might as well feed them something free, right?

If you bring your kids [[under 12]] to IHOP next Friday [[October 29]], they can get a free scary face pancake.

It's dine-in only, so even though IHOP doesn't say with purchase, if you feel weird just watching your kids eat free food and taking a bite or two off their plates, well, you're gonna probably wanna place an order yourself.

Don't worry about having to remember about this. We'll definitely remind you on Friday.

CVS: Sanitizing For Nothing

If you're not my Facebook friend, or you don't know me in real life, you probably don't know that I'm sick. I've had this headcold that I just can't shake.

And I won't shake anyone's hand.

Not that I need to. But, if I was dying to, I could squirt some free hand sanitizer on them and hope for the best.

Yes, I said free. If you head over to this link, you can put in your ExtraCare Card number and request a coupon for a free hand sanitizer pen from CVS.

The coupon is only good til Wednesday [[October 20]], so you definitely wanna hurry up and get this ... or else you won't be shaking any hands.
